What graphic card are you using? From the error message, it seems like reinstalling your graphic card driver might help.

One way is to scan the paper by parts and have your scanner use the same brightness/gamma/whatever (so that the colours from each part you scan match) and then use photoshop to join them back.

You have to experiment with the various settings on your scanner to do a good job though.

I'd certainly agree it's the best arc thus far, beating my previous favourite: Arlong Park. Well, it was the arc that brought be back to One Piece fandom after I left for a while.
