Wohoo! it's great to see Soundwave is back :D
Transformers Movie

Watched the movie again 2day with my cousin, and have concluded this movie has a lot of 'ideas' that they wanted to do.
BTW Anime Master, mind starting a new thread for the TF cartoon? -
finaly got of my ass and saw this flick, was pretty good, nice action and all but it was just not what i had hoped for, i was more expecting a movie with the focus on the robots yaknow getting to know the bots we love how the interact with each other and the focus being on their war and their interaction with humans might be secondary to that but ended up with 70% human screentime and bots got halfassed personalitys(with the exception of Prime he was awesome) with the cepticons not getting any personality at all, hell i cant tell them apart most of the time cause they are just so generic, ah well guess me and the movie folk just wanted diffrent things
but still was a decent action flick and had some funny moments so i deem it worth of my 10 bucks.

Bumping cuz the DVD is out, I just bought mine for some $40 or so. This is probably the FASTEST Movie to DVD release I've seen yet O_o. I hope they don't release an 'extended' version in the future tho.
BTW anyone have the MP3 of the music being played when Prime & co. are coming to Earth? -
Wow, the DVD is out already? o.O
I think I'll just put it on my Christmas list…
LA Times article on the writers: Transformers II' gets an A-Team of writers

Wow, I just saw the Transformers movie last weekend. o.O I probably won't get the DVD since there are too many other things I'd like to buy.
-
The CD is out. It owns. I love it. Arrival to Earth (Or the Autobots descent) is the best track.
The DVD comes out on the 16th. Both Standard and Two Disc. Two disc has a bunch of great extras. Both in clude Bay's Commentary. It has a bunch of exclusives. Best Buy has Two Robot Heroes (Optimus and Cliffjumper), Blockbuster has a mp3 player, Target has Starscream Prequel comic, and WalMart has the animated Prequel starring Cullen and others (Unfortunately is with the Single disc).
In just about The Best Marketing Move Ever, the TF movie site has a setup to send someone a customized voice message from Optimus Prime, using Peter Cullen's voice!

Sorry to double post, but I am saving you money here:
Walmart's deal is the single disc DVD plus an animated prequel. Turns out the prequel is just the comic set to Voice Actors. Thus here you go, the Music. The best thing outside of Frank Welker and Cullen is hearing Chris Ryan as Bumblebee. I like it.
Oh, outside of Simmons and Sparkplug (Which is still Kevin Dunn), the human VA's suck. The worst is Captain Witwicky's. He blows.
Go get the Target two disc one instead.

I went down to Target and they have an exclusive DVD for their stores. It's the deluxe 2 disc DVD…it's in a plastic see through box...but the actual DVD case is a flat plastic Optimus Prime which folds out and stands 15" high, it also comes with a comic book. Sadly, I couldn't spend $25 on it cause of the $60 of my birthday money I'm putting $44 towards the Nami P.O.P. thus, I didn't have enough money.

On the audio commentary Michael Bay says he is a fan of Japanese animation.

On the audio commentary Michael Bay says he is a fan of Japanese animation.
Why does he say that?
(what is he talking about when it gets bought up?) -
Its actually 2 min into the movie when he mentioned he had been offered a lot of comic book movies and he wasn't interested but recently sparked to japanese anime movies. He loved the visuals and said it was a really unique type of cartoon. Imagine Michael Bay making a japanese anime movie.
-
I think Michael Bay is good with what he does.
I didn't go see The Rock or Transformers so see an intricate spy trap thriller, I went to see shit blow up and people get shot to shit. Why? Because it was summer and I had extra money lying around.
I agree that he does nothing terribly original, but for shit flying, exploding, zooming, careening this way and that, he does a good job.

This would have made the final fight 100x better

That was better than the entire movie itself.

TRANSFORMERS ANIMATED MOVIE
Cartoon Network has announced the Transformers Animated Movie: Transform and Roll Out! will premiere on Wednesday, Dec. 26 at 8 p.m. (ET/PT).The movie kicks off a new animated series based on the Transformers characters.
Here's how the network describes the film:

"Set on Earth in the near future in Detroit, the alien Transformers are thrust into a world populated by humans and automatons. As visitors to Earth, the Transformers – Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Prowl, Bulkhead and Rathcet-- work in the human world, interacting with the Œnatives¹ in exciting and humorous ways. Transformers Animaed has been created to showcase the heroic Autobots working together to battle the evil Decepticons and save Earth with kid-relatable plot lines filled with humor, distinctive character personalities, and dynamic action."

I saw the movie before it came out on DVD on a bus. Some guy must have torrented it or something.
The "Sam's alone time" part made my friend and I want to hurl.

Megatronic bump is Megatronic?
I saw the movie last week. I'm not a transformers fan, I never really followed anything transformers…BUT THAT WAS FRCIKEN AWESOME! It was a real entertaining movie, I think I liked it better than POTC3, which surprises me cause I'm a big fan of that franchise.
What was even sweeter is it was free, an employee of my Moms burned the DVD for me just like POTC3 and I Am Legend. I think I'm gonna watch it for the second time tomorrow.
Really, there was only one thing that got me.
! The killing of Megatron, no not cause Sam killed him, I was spoiled on that via this thread. But what did it. Prime was trying to be all heroic and push the Allspark into him self, but didn't even think of doing the same to Megatron…and even going as far as screaming "NO!" when Sam went for it? I mean damn, Megatron even walked right into it, literally.
-
He will be back. Trust me. If not as Megatron then Galvatron.
-
@Anime:

Why does he changed his name? I never got that XP
-
So the kiddies could buy a NEW toy.
Of course, the one toy who essentially was Optimus Prime but white was made into a TOTALLY DIFFERENT character, yet Megs got a TOTALLY NEW toy, but was the same character.
Then the Unicron trilogy happened and he just switched the name ever other episode.

Megatron's "Just a Twist" line was reason enough to resurrect this thread.

Anyway, the new Transformers sequel is scheduled to come out on July 26th 2009..
NEXT YEAR o_o
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1055369/Well, I suppose that Michael Bay is smart to rush it, as the first movie made them over 10 hundred billion dollars on opening night alone.
