I don't completely understand why it seems so popular with celebrities.
It's a way to fill voids in their life. I doubt Tom Cruise is even aware of most of the things we can see or read just by spending a few hours on Google. He isn't because he doesn't want to be aware of it. To get where Tom Cruise is, you must spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to recah that point. When you've essentially spent that much money on something that absurd, you're effectively brain-washed and it doesn't matter what truthes are presented before your eyes, you're just gone.
Celebrities have a lot of money and feel a lot of guilt. They feel lonely and out of place. So what do they do? Turn to groups that 'want to be their friend' and promise 'doing good for the world'. Sometimes Christianity is this answer for people, but more often than not that's something that gets mocked or shunned in Hollywood. So what do they do? They turn to someone that offers to be your….well....your 'Tomodachi'.
