Like Xin (From Lifepoint1's Xin). Remember, Xin was really fast and had quick light punches, as well as a flexable body and he readjusted his skelital structure. I believe Brook will fight like that.
Post All-Inclusive Things About Brooke In Here

Think about this, folks. Brooke runs fast. If Brooke runs on land really fast and build up static electricity, where the energy go? He doesnt' have skin, so the electricity won't go to his fingertips. The only place it could go is his hair. And with that much hair…
He did say his hair roots were strong.
It's going to come into play sometime soon.
-
zomg brooke using static electricity!!
that would be cool
-
One idea I brought up on OPHQ was that Brooke's attacks would relate to music (as that'll most likely be his position with the Strawhats). Each time he hits someone with a bone, a musical note plays.
-
His violin bow is a weapon! I love it!
-
@Impel:
His violin bow is a weapon! I love it!
That would probaly fit into the catogory "marksman" .
And we already have one of those on the ship.I like the idea of him using alot of different instrument to atack/irritate the opponent…
-
I like my Xin-style idea.
-
Hey i posted this in the chapter discussion but I'd like to know what the brooke fans think.
Possible Spoilers…
During the part where brooke's name is mentioned to Dr. Hogback in 446 this frame is shown with what looks to be a pirate insignia.
The person in the portrait, seems eeriely similar to brooke in my opinion, the hair is long and could definately turn into an afro after being dead a year, the shirt seems to have the same ruffle in the front as brooke as well. The hat is different however, but it could be something worth noticing.
Dr. Hogback admitted his desire to study ressurection or reviving the dead so wouldn't Brooke be the best specimin…or maybe his shadow was all he could get hehe. All speculation, let me know your thoughts.
For comparison here's brooke again,

Brook gained a second life because he ate a devil fruit that gave him the ability to come back to life one time. It has nothing to do with D Hogback.
Nice idea, though! But, I thought that the guy in the portrait could be Brooke, too!
…even though I don't like the idea that we get to see him as a living person. That would kind of destroy his character. I mean, Oda could've just shown us what he looked like by drawing his "soul" searching for his body in human form, as most of the japanese ghosts are drawn. That's why I don't think we will ever see what he looked like back in his first life. -
We already saw Hogback's flag. In the last chapter, the numbback had a standard with a skull on it.
-
What voice do you guys imagine Brooke speaking with when you read the manga? I imagine a Terry-Thomas like accent.
-
Who, Brook or Hogback? I (stay with me) hear Brook talking like "the funny stomach voice from Seinfeld". You know, "helllloooo! La la la!". I hear Hogback as talking like the Earl of Millenium.
-
I meant Brooke.
I don't recall either of those voices.
-
His violin bow is a weapon! I love it!
Believe me, it overrated. They're flimsy and if you wave them too hard or fast, they'll snap.
And you regularly need to apply rosin.
-
hmmm, i think Brooke will not join strawhats…
i guess??
-
brooke will join the strawhats, cause if not whats the point of this arc anyways?
-
The same as any other not major arc, take DBF as an example, it didn't have much of a point either. Still, I'm not bashing the idea of Brooke joining the crew, I pretty much would like to see him become one of the Straw Hats. As it is quiet a new thing to let a person join Luffy so early, instead of it becoming a plot twist soaked arc, like Water Seven/Enies Lobby.
As for Brooke himself, whenever or not he actually fights, I am thinking in the direction of Impel Down's Xin idea. Flexibility and a good degree of speed, mixed with a barage of punches. Although I would also find it interesting to see him striking with his cane, without the hidden weapon concept, although I do not thing that will happen, since the stick is reserved for Laffite.
Another theory, Brooke will simply throw his boiling tea at people. It's painful plus original. He is a gentleman after all and as we all know, the greatest insult one can do, without needing to use one's fist is spilling something to drink on someone else. XD
-
Yeah, I'm definitly seeing Brook talking like the funny stomach voice from Seinfeld.
-
I think I guessed :-)
-> The perverted invisible man licking Robin and Nami is simply… Brook's shadow, that he's been looking for ! Yeah !!!
-
just read this theory in the capter thread - very creative…
-
Can't this stay in the chapter thread? Why a new thread?
-
Because it's about something that is still to be confirmed ! Just a guess, there is no real fact in 446 proving it…
-
…and because I didn't read it in the chapter thread, I was just taking a shower when it hit my head ! I had to write it as soon as I was dry :-D
-
for sure…...but what would robin and nami say when brook really becomes a nakama of the SH... than two on the ship(next to sanji) who are horny lol .. brook must join
-
I don't know, shouldn't a shadow be a dark figure on a wall instead of being something invisible? The invisible guy sure sounded sinister in contrast to the cheery Brook.
-
Maybe: NAMI'S SHOWER RAPIST WAS BROOK'S SHADOW!

Dude.. I think you just got Laffite's match for the BB vs. SH fight!
Anyways Brooke is definitely a calmed gentleman. Can you image him throwing a punch?
I posted it around here but it seems no one payed attention to it, here's what I think is Brooke's fighting style:Oh…! What if his power is as fast as the sound itself?! Being fast enough but not strong enough, so his weakness is obviously guys like Burgass. Other guys he can steal their weapons or push them to dangerous places or something, yeah. And it connects with his field well, like navigating and controlling weather.
And if he does it in cool poses like in Air Gear's Kazu, absolutely gentleman-ish. Plus he might be able to create sound with it [dunno, through the bones or something?].He can't be seen while fighting, right? That means he can do whatever he wants.
Another idea I just thought of is he uses intruments [how the hell's that written?] as weapons. Based on my other theory that he can play of ALL instruments out there. It's kinda special, connects with his field and he has that "Check what's in the surprise box!" effect like Franky, that gives new attacks every battle.
-
@Impel:
Maybe: NAMI'S SHOWER RAPIST WAS BROOK'S SHADOW!
DING DING DING
DING DING DING
DING DING DING!!!!!!WE HAVE A WINNER!
Or at least someone else's shadow.
-
Of course, Brook's shadow was sad…because she was naked and wasn't wearing any panties.
-
Wouldn't a shadow be visible?
-
Well, maybe it was dark in there, I dunno.
-
Am I the only one who's against Brooke joining? I like him but it's too soon and he's a damn skeleton for fuck's sake (he'd be weaker than Usopp).
-
Am I the only one who's against Brooke joining? I like him but it's too soon and he's a damn skeleton for fuck's sake (he'd be weaker than Usopp).
I agree that it's too soon, but you've got to admit: Brook certainly brings a lot of things to the table in only 2 chapters. Imagine the kind of character growth a person like that is capable of (plus It would be kinda cool to have Brook join, have the crew go to a town, and have all the people go "ZOMG A SKELETON OH NOEZ!!!!!111one")
As for the second part of that comment, …how did you arrive at that conclusion? He hasn't even fought yet. OP physics could dictate a lot here, too. You never know.
-
Holy crap, you guys love Brooke that much already? I haven't read any of Thriller Park yet (Red up to Brooke's joining and then stopped), but still, that's a short amount of time to love a character so much.
Anyway, what voice do you want him to have in the show?
-

I wouldnt say its too soon considering that the arc where Usopp joined and the arc where Sanji joined where back to back.
-
@Private:
Anyway, what voice do you want him to have in the show?
I always think that Tony Oliver's Lupin voice would be perfert for Brook
-
-
Anyways Brooke is definitely a calmed gentleman. Can you image him throwing a punch?
He is a self-proclaimed gentlemen. Real gentlemen don't ask to see women's panties or demmand to be fed.
-
Sanji's a gentlemen, but he still breaks some skulls. And as for Brook joining to fast: Remeber Zoro Nami Usopp Sanji? How fast did they join?
-
… dang, I had a Brooke-dream this night XD
And thanks to this, I got a new theory of Brooke's possible flashback XDBrooke was an assistant or an experimental subject of Hogback when he came to Thriller Bark. Hogback invented the Yomi Yomi no mi and Brooke ate it by accident ("What's that? Yohohoho, looks yummy...") or he was forced to ate it.... as experimental subject  Anyway, Brooke was VERY unhappy with some methods of Hogback, because he uses the sailors who are swallowed by Thriller Bark for his experiments (perhaps the countless zombies on the graveyard are the disappeared sailors), so he decided to warn the next ship wich entered Thriller Bark. The pirate ship was able to escape but Hogback send another ship full of zombie pirates after them... and in the resulting battle, everyone was killed and Hogback shot Brooke. He also stole the shadow of our gentleman-skeleton in order to... punish him o.o Hogback knew that Brooke is able to resurrect himself and so he was doomed to sail around in a cursed fog alone without any chance to see the sunlight again.. and Hogback was sure that Brooke will commit suicide after a few months. Brooke met Mr. burning guy and noticed his desperate situation when his companion melt away under the sunlight. But he didn't give up and was determined to fight Hogback one day (this could be his "heart's desire") ... until he meet the strawhats! This theory could explain Hogback's strange behaviour when Usopp mentioned a skeleton with Afro... he thought that Brooke already killed himself.
But Brooke said that he entered the fog alongside the pirate crew... this is a major point against this theory x.x And he also said that his shadow was stolen just a few years ago... Well, perhaps he was lying at this point XD(Hey, if Brooke joins... he would be the first real pirate in Luffy's crew XD cheers for Brooke)
Anyway: I think the connection between Brooke and Hogback is the devil fruit. A guy who ate a resurrection-fruit and a doctor who's looking for a way to life twice within the same fog? This can't be accident/chance. I'm pretty sure that the Yomi Yomi no mi is an invention of Hogback.
-
Plus, when they asked Cindry/Hogback about Brook, I think Cindry was like, "Skeliton? It can't be!"
-
Hogback said that not Cindry
-
@Impel:
Plus, when they asked Cindry/Hogback about Brook, I think Cindry was like, "Skeliton? It can't be!"
That was HogBack actually.
–-----------I belive the connection to him and HogBack is the shadow. On page 11 of Chapter 443 you see a flash back picture of him seeing a shadowless person frying to death. The Back round looks a lot like HogBacks Mansion. Since Brooks never connected his death with the stealing of his shadow I would have to belive that the shadow is the key.
As for Brooks shadow being the invisible man , I don't belive so. At the start of Nami's shower rape the Invisible man growls. I don't think Brook would growl like an animal even if he was a pervert. In fact I think the invisible man is actually the Lion-man Zombie we saw in the Woods. This would explain the growl in the shower and the animal like lick given to Robin on the ship.
-
Okay, so Hogback said it. Fine. And anyway, I still believe that Hogback takes shadows and uses them to make his fiendish creatures.
-
Has anyone noticed that Brookes actions contridict his word so mabey he uses an un-gentlemenly style of fighting like bashing peoples face in with his cane with no tact
-
He hides a knife in his afro.
-
@Impel:
He hides a knife in his afro.
Or in his cane. ;)
-
No, his cane has a rail-gun in the end.
-
I have a quick dumb question…was Brooke the former user of the Yami Yami fruit? Either that or i dont think i read that part of that chapter right...
-
More like the current user. Apparentely the fruit did nothing while Brook was alive (either that, or he couldn't figure out how it worked). It remains to be seen what powers it has now.
Edit: Guess I'm tired, seeing as I missed that he said yami yami instead of yomi yomi…
