lol, ah finally I have some time to write in this Topic!
My first time i heard some Hip Hop was back in the 90's. My uncle is a big Rock fan.. and as little girl I always liked to copy him ( we grew up together, he's like my big Bro'!). Well, anyways! Once one of his friends asked me once what kind of music that I like, so I said that I was a huge fan of Rock music ( hahaha ). My Uncle was kinda pissed that day and he told me that I should stop to try to be him or somethin'. Ok. I was really hurt, but didn't cry I just said " Fine, I didn't like Rock anyway. ugh" XD
so I started to watch MTV ( those good old days…) and yeah, I found interest in Hip Hop (one of my uncle's dislikes).
And yes, I fell in love with Hip Hop ever since that happend. I love its life style, the rhymes, the awesome breakdancin', the art of the "scratch" ... I'm lovin' it!!!!
Todays Hip Hop isn't the same as It was once.. hm, no that A'INT HIP HOP! I'm talkin' about todays popular artist ( let's say 90% of them) that have sell some cd's and are makin' quick cash for some labels. It kinda does make the whole Hip Hop culture look bad, cuz I know that out there are some good Emcee's that have mad skillz. Rappin' with heart and soul... but don't get as many credits for their work. <_< i could keep talkin' about it but i think that's enough for the moment.
My favorite artist ( didn't i list that in another occasion?);
Big L. , Big Pun, Biggie ( LOL, "all "Lil'"s suck.. and the "Big"s Rock!"), 2Pac, Canibus, eminem, GZA, Atmosphere, Jean Grae (she can sing and is also an awesome female MC!! Check her out!!), Mobb Deep, Talib Kweli, the mighty Mos Def, Inspectah Deck, Jedi Mind Tricks, Immortal Technique (.. u gotta listen to his rhymes!!), Scarface, "Pimp my Ride" Moderator Xzibit, Killarmy, Chino XL, KRS-One, Snoop Dogg ( eventhought he has gone soft.. ), Young Buck ( hate G-Unit but he is solo alright), The Firm ( I love "Phone Tap" ) Nas, Dilated Peoples, Rakim, Royce da 5'9'' ( he has some good stuff), Common Sense, Tribe Called Quest, The Roots, Pharaoe Monch, Cunninlynguists, Foreign Exchange, Planet Asia, Fisticuff ( Turn my Headphones Up!!! J/k), Three Six Mafia, Project Pat, Cyssero, Chamillionaire, Eyedea, Pharaoe Monch, Necro hm, there are so many cuz i'm feelin' that i'm forgetin' some ...
