Various changes in plans:

• Metal Slug was pushed back a week or so, so I wasn't able to get it. I got Rayman Raving Rabbids instead, though. And of course I got Marvel with my sweet, sweet Silver Surfer code
• I went to Walmart this afternoon to scope out the line; they have 33 units, and 33 people are already in line.
• So now I'm going to Best Buy in an hour and camping out until 9 AM. I've had a crappy week and the Wii is the main thing I've been holding out for (yes I'm aware how crazed and pathetic that sounds). I WON'T LOSE.

I wish the luck Cap'n Carter. I have not the patience to wait in line for anything ever again. I almost got into a fight with some lady last time trying to wait on a pair of Air Jordans. When you get the system, let us know what you think of it.

The main reason I'm waiting like this is that everytime I gambled regarding this system I got fucked. I didn't think Pre-orders would seell so damn fast, so I waited until I could get a ride out. I didn't think Walmart would be such a hotspot to buy a Wii, so I took my time. NEVER AGAIN.

Believe me, camping out like this is the very last thing I wanted to do.

Yea, people can really suck sometimes. Still, you would think that there would be a greater police presence at these places, what with the fights on lines and large amount of cash flow. I remember last year there was at least one policecar stationed outside my local best buy every time I stopped by there, watching the 360 campers. Also, the shopping center could be sued for a stolen game console, since it is technically private property, and they are responsible for your safety, and (not that most people would do this, but) you never know when someone may try to abuse the trust of insurance companies. I'm not saying it doesn't suck for the people who have things stolen, but I really wonder why electronics stores don't do more to protect their customers, like setting up security cameras in the parking lot, or even having a guard or two go on patrol during a high-sales day or night. These are major chains, and they make a killing off of us after all.

Yup, they sure are. I hope I never meet anyone like that, or even worse, get into trouble because of someone like that. I'd hate to have to be questioned by police because some asshole decided to steal something and the victim tried to blame me for it, intentionally or not. I've been unfairly accused before, and while I despise the people who would be so sick and desperate as to do something like this, I also hate it when someone has to take the fall because the real criminal cannot be identified.

It's even more pathetic when those who say they are innocent can't even talk to someone without cowarding behind parents. People are funny. Also, if a victim blames people for things, I forgive it because they blindly blame everyone around. I think if anyone got anything stolen from them, it is instinctive to blame all around.

That's the reason I wanted to go to walmart, to try to prevent freezing my ass off. But it looks like the Walmart people wanted Wii customers to wait outside… probably to prevent congestion inside the store.

Yeah, I'd say this thing was well worth the 13+ hour wait outside Wal-mart in near-freezing weather.

Fortunately, we didn't have any idiots trying to steal ours or whatnot. Just alot of people staring at us campers and asking if we were waiting for the PS3 (or, as one guy said, "Gameboy 3").

I'm getting mine tonight hopefully, the guy at Target says they've got about sixty Wiis, and when I went there ten minutes ago and there was no one waiting for the Wii. I might only have to wait a few hours, which I will spend playing Tetris. :D

My town seems to have Wii in abundance, our six or seven game stores, three Targets, and four Wal-Marts have tons of them; it's odd, we must have a large gaming populations or something.

Mother just ordered me a Wii bundle off of SamsClub.com. So I'll be getting one in about 1 week, which is awesome because everywhere around me is sold out and my FYE preorder is fully refundable, which is great considering I am going to pay her back.

Well, I just started my job at Fred Meyers, and I was one of the people handing out games to the people coming in to buy. Basically, we let in a small crowd at a time. They would line up, say what games and accessories they wanted and were then directed to a cash register where their Wii was waiting for them. The only game we ran out of was Red Steel. We also ran out of the Nunchucks and classic controllers. But everyone who came got a Wii with 8 remaining (out of our 92 units.)

When my shift ended, 7 people came in as the store was opening, seeking leftover Wii's…Leaving the last one for me. Everyone went home happy. Compared to the 8 out of 57 people who came for the PS3. And I got a cool Wii shirt out of it. We had to wear Wii shirts, and were told that we could keep them.

I just got back, and I had a blast at my friends!
He was Zelda, and I thought it was really cool, good graphics and the functionality of the game was very good.

Although, Wii sports was by far the best.

Well after waiting ouside of Circuit City all night, then when they gave out the tickets at Target (Which was right next door) I got a ticket there (#59 Whee!)(I had 2 hours less to wait) Got Trauma Center, Excite Truck, and GT Pro Series (WHich is my Brother's) Another controller for my brother, and 2000 wii points (I WANT THE INTERNET CHANNEL!). I still have a preorder at FYE, so We'll probably either get it, wait till there's a shortage, and sell it for double the price (or more!) or get a refund. I didn't get zelda because no where that I know around here has any left. (CC and Target only had 12 copies each, Gamestop had 40, but they had over 400 preorders.)

Also how is the freeloader to crack the reigon code coming along? Does the gamecube freeloader work for the wii. Though how is it coming along so I can play imports on the wii? (Yes Yes I know, give it sometime. I was just asking =P)

i already got the wii and i already played it. i was at toysrus at around 6:10 am and i was like the 28th out of the 30 because toysrus has 30 extra unit. my mom bought me for my birthday and she got me that legend of zelda before people took everything from it. it was better than those ps3 line because the wii line were more cooperative and willing. the guy in first made a list of who came in order.
