Should've made it harder than that. No way Rei prolongs this by being hardheaded. This is definitely over. Is Hara going to add Rei to the Hi Shin Unit? Does that fix Kai's issue or was it ever related to begin with?

i've started reading it this month, i'm at chapter 321 currently, and i'm enjoying it a lot! the level of detail leads me to believe that it's a biweekly series…? am I right? tried wikipedia but couldn't get the info.
also, i'm incredibly curious to see what comes next after this giga-7-states-war...I know it's based on chinese legends, but is the author following them by the letter (in regards of themes)?

It's like One Piece. It's weekly, but there is always a break after 3 or so chapters.

It is based on the Warring States Era that comes before the Three Kingdoms Era in which to this day it leaves to imagination what really happened.
-
oh, I see. Since the author sometimes provides some clashes as recorded history, I though there was some kind o linearity that he could've been following to tell his spin/tale.
thanks for the info on it's periodicity! after reading Historie and learning how long it takes to look this neat I thought it would be the same for Kingdom but we have another Eiji Niizuma on our hands

Okay if I have to take a guess:
! Moubu, Tou, Kanki, Ousen and maybe Mouten and Ouhon. I think it's too early for Shin.
-
670 response
! My little brother already won a debate concerning Shou Hei Kun being a Great General. I thought it was possible, but he can't really take the field, so I concede.
! These are who I think it may be
! - Yotanwa- Tou
- Mou Bu
- Son
- Ou Sen
- Kanki
! As far as preference goes, I hope Hara doesn't continue to troll me and puts Heki in there. Whenever I root for Heki to die, Hara makes him do something great.
-
Who the frick is Son?
-
1 of Mou Gou's Generals. I understand why you wouldn't remember him
-
https://sensescans.com/reader/read/kingdom/en/62/671/page/1
! You got 5 out of 6 for now Cocky.
-
! Please Hara don't troll and make Heki the 6th.
-
These 5 were a given. Still have no idea who Son is, even after going through wikia. Mou Gou Army page doesn't list anyone named Son.
Feel like 6th won't be anyone we've ever seen. Time is ripe to bring out some sleeping legend and give us an info dump, it's been a while since the last one, after all!
-
In the Sanyou campaign, Son commanded Mou Gou's Southern Army.
-
I managed to find him after all. Mou Gou's deputy, was never actually shown.
Guess it's possible.
-
-
Fun fact, that reminded me of a Garfield comic.
-
So with Ousen and Kanki getting their warning shots fired at them is this like foreshadowing that actually all three Shin, Mouten and Ouhon will join this group at some point? Since I'm not familiar with the historic facts I'm just spouting guesses as a regular manga reader would do.^^

If memory of past discussions serves right, at some point historical Ousen does betray and turn against Qin. Kanki I'm much less sure, I don't even know whether he is inspired by a real-world figure at all. But the manga reader in me completely agrees, these 2 are candidates for overstepping their limits as great generals and getting their just desert at the hands of the 3 youngsters.

Actually Ousen was the most loyal person in Qin and was responsible for most of the other states conquests. As for Kaneki
! Riboku kills him.
-
Actually Ousen was the most loyal person in Qin
I stand corrected. I guess Ousen's little conversation with Riboku was what induced that thought. The manga might follow up on that by the way.
As for Kanki… He has style, but I'm not gonna regret if that is how it goes. -
Ouhon is getting F.
-
Maybe not for long though. The whole "look me, I'm a happily married young father" deal right before joining Kanki's costly battlefront sounds like a giant flag for tragedy.
-
Ouhon dies - father gets pissed - blames the emperor and starts to war on the kingdom
-
Didn't Ousen put his own son in perilous times before?
-
Why would he blame the emperor instead of just Kanki?
Anyway, Ouhon doesn't even need to die for Ousen to become antagonistic towards Kanki. A brush with death or just an injury could produce the same effect. But then again someone cold and collected as Ousen might blame nobody but Ouhon if he fails, even if I think he's quite fond of him under that mask.
Seeing how Ouhon just had a close call in the last campaign, it would be more than a little repetitive, though.

Didn't Ousen put his own son in perilous times before?
With a character like that it could both mean that he doesn't care for his safety or that he believes in him so much that he knows he can handle it. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
-
I love A Ka Kin for this unit. Perfect balance.
-
Kanki, you magnificent bastard. What are you plotting?!
-
Man, he's already in those guys heads.
-
I think something was wrong and they deleted it.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Seems to be back now. Raido are you gonna die or something?
-
Oh look, its another Zhao arc, havent had those in a long while.
And yet again the Qin are the underdogs, never happened before.
And they are massively outnumbered for no reason at all. And supposedly the new Zhao commander is someone that the likes of Ousen and Kanki should fear and not the other way around.
I cant wait how the Qin will overcome the odds this time, this is so exciting. Just like all the 248586 times before
_________-
God, that is all so stupid.
! But its a Kanki-centric arc; so I will keep reading it, no matter how mindboggling unrealistic and repetitive the whole setup is
-
Well, Shin is still the MC and he is in Zhao right now, so it's just natural to we still be in Zhao.
-
A Zhao arc? In the middle of a campaign to conquer Zhao!?
-
Well, the pacing is faster than I thought it would.
-
This probably going to a sacrifice play for Kanki himself in the end.
-
Points for Riboku for being the only guy in Zhao skeptical about all this.
-
Yeah, Kanki is totally up to playing his allies into playing his enemies into overconfidence.
-
While I accept the criticism that the set-up has became repetitive, Hara has been more or less consistent with Kanki's trick. His motto is surprise attack, to divert the attention of enemy and either sneaking from behind or launching a surgical attack during melee. Here it will be the same I bet.
-
! Storming right in, lol. Shin's eyes seem to be top notch. I thought Karyo Ten was supposed to have that as her special attribute but she paled compared to him.
-

That was just his Instinct General-Type bs.
-
ahh, that could be it. so convenient…
-
I'm liking the new dynamic Rei is adding.
https://sensescans.com/reader/read/kingdom/en/62/679/page/1 -
Look at that, actual strategy. Can people just stop complaining now?
-
I love that wholesome moment. Kanki is top 5 for making all of this happen.
-
Every campaign should have Banyou avoiding death at the last moment, can't tire of seeing it. But where are Kanjou and Akakin!?
I'm hoping for a more detailed action plan, though. They will definitely have to try fooling Zhao into thinking they're going to make the same mistake as Gyoku Hou and attack the most obvious position. With a unit piercing that steep slope to upset the defense. For that to work Shin will have to draw eyes on him with the main force, while maybe Kyoukai and Rei go up the slope.
As for Kanjou and Akakin, since they're nowhere to be seen, they must have somehow got separated and are going to arrive to help later on? I can practically already see those two bickering while attacking unsuspecting Zhao.

I can't believe I didn't seen this april fools' translation.

Anyway, a new chap is out. -
My guy made me proud today. Good job.
