Ah it's in Korean. Guess I gotta wait a bit still.

Well can’t say I enjoyed the mess that Naruto became, the train crash that was Bleach and Fairy Tail, although I was never really invested on them. 20th Century Boy and Billy Bat have great build up to end in a whimper, I don’t believe that we will ever have a a satisfactory ending for Berserk, Vagabond is in hiatus limbo, HxH ended at chapter 339 and every thing else is a bonus. Marry Grave got axed.
Maybe I’m just being to negative.

Just read Black Cat, bro.

I forgot the worst recent offender that was how Ohtaka manage to destroy no one but TWO of her series because lack of a definite endgame and not allowing Sindbad to became an actual antagonist.
I just became kind numb to to comics author screwing up their on stories.

! Will Merlin and Gowther use the same combo to defuse Mel like the did with Escanor in Edinburgh? Will Mael return the grace to Escanor? Will he help in the fight against SD? Will Zeldris do 100 push up, squats, sit-ups with 10km runs in other to beat daddy?

! > And that's precisely what I'm saying.Hell, I lost the count already of how many times I insisted on the importance of the Supreme Deity concerning the curse.
!
! I thought you was saying here that there was no reason to bring the SD back after the DK's defeat.

Now is when we should demand apologies. That was some plot twist caliber that would make Oda proud.
! >! "twist"? Don't think there's a twist here. It's rather what it had to happen to begin with, given that the SD was behing the curse too. The twist is, again, an effect of calling 'epilogue' to what should have been part of the main story. It's like the magazzine playing with us readers… But ok, bring it on, I want to see what happenend with the SD
! ... assuming she's the one behind Eli's crushed bag -

Steel balls so big that they spin at the golden ratio -
Sorry for the spoilers Cyclone, I tought that I was being vague enough and didn't connect in a pc until now.

! It seems like the demonic looking curses were only the demonic side of the curses. The celestial part must have endured.

It's alright. I've read the chapter now lol. Only slightly spoilered. But even statements can set up expectations.
That said.
! Ahhhhhhhh! I loved this chapter.
-
! Mwuahahahaha ! After so much teary dialogs and done-to-death goodbyes, the falling rock was hilarious as f*ck. I didn't think the 7 sins still had it in them to entertain like me that, this sort of trolling feels like a page right out of Chainsaw Man
-
I have conflicted feelings. On one hand the chapter was beyond amazing. On the other, I feel really bad for Meliodas.
! Now watch. Because her curse is shaped like the Ouroboros, at some point the cycle has to start over. In the case of Elizabeth, going back to square one means reincarnating back to her original goddess incarnation.

What in the fucking hell

Nobody expects the rock inquisition.

Well damn, I didn't see that coming at all.
-
Damn. Did not see that coming.
-
who would have :-)
I was suspicious at first, there was quite a few holes in this final. But after 3 happy chapters I was starting to made myself a reason.
What a shock. Even though you guy spoiled us X-(, I really did not expect it to end this way.And here they are some people who says this serie is not good. How can one be so wrong :-)
-
maybe i'm a bad person, but the comedic time was just too perfect and i bursted in laughter
-
Well, jaw dropping for sure, but you're telling me none of these superhumans present saw a rock that huge coming apart and falling?
Kinda dumb and forced.
-

You are killing the good mood :-(
-
Lol, I was about to write the same Razh did but didn't want to spoil the happy thread. But yes, it's kinda dumb to assume Mel and Eli didn't expect a reaction of the other superbeing who cursed them.
-
Hate to be that guy, lol.
I appreciate it for being a damn good twist. But let's not kid ourselves. That rock should have been in pieces by the time it got even remotely close to Elizabeth who would be surrounded by like two kinds of force fields by then.
-
The implication is that the rock was too fast for any of them.
-
The implication is that Elizabeth always dies by unfortunate chain of events. Everyone except Mel was looking in that direction. The rock produced no sound or tremor? Just teleported on top of Elizabeth?
If it was that fast, then it's a result of some ability, and not just the rock falling apart due to Meliodas destabilizing the world.
In other instances characters have insane reaction time and speed. It just doesn't sit well and I think it could have been performed less awkwardly. But that would be hard to pull off without everyone being present and witnessing Elizabeth's sudden death.
-
Since the fan art contest will be in volume 38, i guess we will reach volume 40 after all.
-

It is possible that you may still be right about these possibilities. Maybe we will see Elizabeth has been saved at the last minute, or we will find out that this is a ruse by Merlin and Meliodas to trick the Supreme Diety, so that she does not look for Elizabeth. Or it could just be that she got killed and it was done for plot purposes… who knows.
-
Maybe we will see Elizabeth has been saved at the last minute
I would be genuinely disappointed if there were anything like that, if the author backed down after such a bold move. I'll admit that the rock is something the others should have reacted to, but at the same time it made such a hilarious twist that I'm willing to look the other way for once. A curse is at work, everybody's got their guard down since they think the war has ended… Not the best of explanations, but I can buy it.
-
The curse is still in effect. Even if they had reacted in time, something else would have killed Elizabeth. It's just delaying the inevitable.
-
Without anymore information, I wont speculate any further, but it is not uncommon in this story for death not to be the end of things.
-
wooooow. At first it seems cool, edgy, and clever, but it feels really forced to me. What are we gonna fight the 16 Angels and God him/her self now?
-
The curse is still in effect. Even if they had reacted in time, something else would have killed Elizabeth. It's just delaying the inevitable.
Then have them react in time and have something else kill Elizabeth. We're not talking about paying our phone bills here. Nobody should be excusing such a blatant corner cutting from a writer.
-
Nope, that would have killed the surprise. Besides, there's something odd about the whole matter, because it happened just as Elizabeth was going to cross the gate. Too much of a coincidence for that to not be someone's doing.
By the way, I don't see Merlin and Ban when the big ass rock falls.
-
Well for once they believed everything was all right and let their guards down, it’s plausible that they were so relaxed/ emotionally overwhelmed that they didn’t got a reaction.
But if they reacted, and something else still killed Liz? What if Liz death became even more brutal due to intervention?

I just realized this is turning into Final Destination lol.

You're scaring me. What could be more brutal than getting your body crushed by a big boulder crashing like a godamn meteorite.
Also, is Elizabeth going to retain her memories this time since Meliodas destroyed one half of the curse?

Don’t know, Ban punches the rock and instead of breaking down it turns into a thousand sharp spikes that transpose Liz like a rain of bullets. Or a indura runs through the gate and eats her.
I either think a time skip for a new adult Liz to fight her mommy, or she will be reborn as a goddess this time around.

Eesh. What a whiplash.
But I suppose it's too be expected. The Goddess didn't give up anything, did she now?
-
The annoying thing is that with Mael and Ludociel being "cool" now, the godess will have to pull the 7 virtues of their asses.
-
Nah, I'm sure is going to be just the Supreme Deity. Afterall, the goddesses lost their physical bodies when they used the coffin.
-
Just remembered that the name of the curse is Perpetual Reincarnation, so maybe it works on the curse itself as well.
That would be too simple, though.
-
Well if the series is going to continue we better get Ban's sacred treasure sometime soon
-
Having lost his immortality but gained insane endurance, if Ban gets back his sacred treasure now he'll be as deadly as ever.
-
Speaking of which, whatever happened to Lostvayne?

Chillin’ with a damaged Rhitta and Ban’s SW in the realm of irrelevance.

! Well, it seems that DK stole Zel’s body know. All of this could’ve been avoided if Mel wasn’t a massively and inherently bad brother. What a fuckin’ twat.

! Mel needs to be arrested for imcompetence and share a cell with Jon Snow.
-
! Last week was too good to be true alas. I loved how the previous chapter was apparently taking a jab at cliche endings, but the last-second save (at least someone in the Sins did react, that's still something I guess) and a sad excuse for another round with the Devil King cheapens the effort and takes us right back into lame territory. I'll see myself out, then.
-
Well, shit.
! Now all the people that said "someone among the sins had to see that rock falling" can shut up.
! But damn you DK, WHY-DON'T-YOU-FUCKING-DIE. -

Meliodas negligence towards his family is only comparable to Goku. -

! Tnx Captain Obvious.
! Not really digging Zel's new haircut, though.
! Could nitpick about Mel's carelessnes, but they were quite busy when Cusack escaped with Zel.
