Damn, that was way faster than I expected. The series wasn't so bad either. But it was to be expected, anyhow. I can't see Act-age lasting much longer either, unfortunately. I hope someone translates these 2 series until the end, I still want to see how they end up.

Based in the last chapter i was sure that it was ending, but i didn't thought that it would be right now, the manga will end with only 14 chapters lol, honestly, the editors are surprisingly more cruel now than before, they used to at least give 17/18 chapters unless you're a "Tokyo Wonder Boys" or "Mutou Black", now something like this is becoming a regular thing.
-
It’s not as rare as you’d think. Like when I came up we had Hand’s, Corrector M&Y, and Jumbor Barutronica all flop at around the ten week mark. It’s more common to hit 18 or so, sure, but they’ve never really been less cruel

I know these cases, what i'm saying is that is becoming something more regular than rare today, specially at this moment where the magazine is full of series that they can't just cancel or force a quick ending, so everything that doesn't show some sign of life is quickly cancelled for the next new series or like a sacrifice for Robot x Laserbeam.

I don't think the quick cancellation becoming regular these days, like even for Tokyo Wonder Boys is from 4 years ago (not really recent anymore). Plus, there isn't really quick cancellation on last year, so I don't really see this is becoming regular thing.

Considering everything bellow 16 chapters as quick cancellation:
2015
Kaizou Ningen Roggy = 11 Chapters
Buddy Strike = 11 Chapters2016
Love Rush! = 13 Chapters
Red Sprite = 14 Chapters
Demon's Plan = 12 Chapters
Ole Golazo = 12 Chapters2017
Golem Hearts = 15 Chapters
2018
Bozebeats = 14 Chapters
PS: Demon's Plan and Ole Golazo could be considered as "2017" since it were released in the last two issues of 2016, also MAL has some of these mangas with the wrong number of chapters, i had to look the raws.
Anyway, it's not every manga but in the last few years, it's not that rare anymore to see SJ cancelling things very early.
-
The double issues, as these are short lived series anything between issue 6 and issue 21 is OK, same with issue 23 to 34 and 36 to 51, then you have to take into consideration the double issues (4 pee year) and how many numbers did the magazine had that year (a few years back it had 53 (-4) issues. As that publication year had 53 weeks.
Also, something harder to account, breaks by earthquake. Only one ever since I started obsessing over the magazine, but it happens.
-
@Shinuki:
Considering everything bellow 16 chapters as quick cancellation:
Might be off by one or two chapters here (double issues are hard) but:
2000:
Kaiser Spike (14 chapters)
Live Like Rocket (11 chapters)
Junjo Pine (13 chapters)
Bakabakashino (10 chapters)2001:
I’m a Faker (11 chapters)
Grand Vacan (11 chapters)
Mononoke Nyantaro (12 chapters)2002:
Akkera Kanjincho (12 chapters)
Number 10 (10 chapters)
A.O.N. (9 chapters)2003:
Tattoo Hearts (14 chapters)
Santa! (13 chapters)
Kicks Megamix (14 chapters)
Sengoke Rappaden Sasori (12 chapters)
Thoroughbred to Yobanai de (13 chapters)
Kannade (13 chapters)I shouldn’t go on (mostly because I’ll be off by one chapter or two and that’s embarrassing, but they’re all under this measure) it really hasn’t been rare for a very long time.

Maxy already showed that the quick cancellation is already happening in early 2000s. Heck, there were lots of quick cancellation from 2004 to early 2010s as well (like Live, Kannade, Muddy, KO Sen, Meister, Dogashikaden,, Neko Wappa, Kanata Seven Change, Shounen Shikku, etc., and don't forget legendary Chagecha). So, I don't see quick cancellation become regular in recent days; heck, the quick cancellation actually has become rare as compared to 2000s.

Jujutsu Kaisen really turned it up the past 2 chapters. They've been really solid, it's unfortunate that most battle shonen just get the axe

Is there a reason One Piece is getting so many covers and CPs lately?
-
It took some minutes to realise that this is the first ranking for Jujutsu Kaisen, and well, look who is in the middle of the ranking, the dark horse that everyone underestimated, already starting better than Bozebeats that was hyped. but of course doesn't mean that much looking how Act-Age is doing now, but i doubt that the manga will just drop to the the last places seeing how better it gets each chapter.
Sure but we know it's happening

Man, i'm not saying that this never happened before, i'm saying that recently is becoming something more common compared to the last years, and by "last years" i'm not saying early 2000s like Maxy showed.

-

This is exactly what i said in my comment kkkk, but in the end we're comparing a battle shounen with a manga about being an actress, Jujutsu Kaisen has way better chances to survive in a magazine like Shonen Jump, also Act-Age only had a interesting beginning while JK is constantly improving since the first chapter, hard to see people dropping the manga after liking the first chapter, but let's see.
-
Is there a reason One Piece is getting so many covers and CPs lately?
Last time it was because it got into 900 chapters while this time might be because it's the finale of WCI.
-
WCI will finally end nice
i actually loved this arc but oda dragged it after the wedding
im sooo ready for wano hype -

I also said quick cancellation is also common in early 2010s as well. When I looked, there has been always at least 1 quick cancellation happening on every year, so I don't see this has becoming common as last years (as from early 2010s, not 2000s).

Alright, Jujutsu kaisen chapter 8 looks like it's best yet. I can definitely get behind it now. Hoping for another good ranking
-
How many chapters Noah currently have? The plot became interesting in chapter 3.
-
Is there any scanlation team doing Jujutsu Kaisen and Noah's Notes?
-
Champagne, huh?
I wonder if Cityshrimp will take it, because it lacks approx 3 chapters to end translating Bartender.
Hope they does. -
!
Champagne is a really good comic, so even as a heavily anti-scan person I can say it’d be nice to see people get to experience it. It debuted last wednesday (translated TOCs have fallen a bit behind for GJ and YJ, I think) and had this beautiful colour page you can see above me. -
How many chapters Noah currently have? The plot became interesting in chapter 3.
7 chapters

Nope, just the official translation that you can find in some places.

yes, jaiminisbox translate that

Oh, build king was with eWSJ, I should read it.
