Didn't Annie transform in the catacombs?
Did she? If I recall the day they captured her she transformed just before they went down to the catacombs.

45 pages and already the main villain is dead. XD
What the hell was that about?
I mean. It was cool seeing Eren turn into a Titan after he grabs Renier's hand.
But? Did he have to kill Kelly in half?
:getlost:
@Nitwit
It means either Willy will transform next chapter or warhammer titan's owner is somebody else(most likely).
@auem
I hope Willy transform in the next month since I'm hungry for more AOT fighting. We haven't had a fight for a while.
Next year better be a break or a hit though?

I think this is appropriate
Didn't Annie transform in the catacombs?
No, if I remember correctly she realizes that they're onto her specifically when they try to lead her into an area where she wouldn't be able to transform.
Well, now it is moot, cart and jaw didn't say that it was lack of sunlight (why didn't I say that the faceless titan attacked at night?), but lack of space.
So the Granblue mobile game is having a Titan cross over, taking place right before Annie's betrayal. They really build on her inner conflict, and damn do I feel a lot more for her than in the original canon.

Pretty good designs all around the chapter
Quite nice chapter we have here.
Daaan, we are in full on war mode all of a suden!
Why did they had to give Mikasa a haircut?
Damn, the War Hammer titan has a really dope design. And it sure lives up to its name.
Was it always the Sister-maid or did the dude have it and it immediately passed down to her? I guess is the first one, but then it leads to the question of how did she had such control over her form if she doesn't regularly fight like the military guys or Eren.

This fighting style has been passed from generations of the ArmstrongTybur Family.
So great to have Titan fighting again. I love the Warhammer Titan's ability and the fight that came from it and Mikasa is a really good ender to the chapter. Eren's not recklessly fighting alone anymore.
I initially had a problem with Eren's adult design because it looked like his teen design and not really "adult", but it looks much better these past 2 chapters.
Willy never was the Warhammer Titan.
The shorter her hair gets, the more her badassness increases.
Final Arc is great so far.
Mikasa returning with short hair, Jean shooting Marley soldiers like a savage.

Given that Eren is still technically a teen that shouldn't have been too much of a problem.
Damn, the War Hammer titan is fierce.
And I lost track of characters in this arc, who is this twit of a military guy who says, "I fired the first shot."

4 years is still quite a bit of a difference. Prior to 100 and 101, his design looked much more like his 15-year-old design, which together with the stubble looked odd to me. You can tell he's actually grown older here.
I can't wait for Armin to enter the stage and go full colossal on the Marley army.

He'll have to do some work soon because Marley's titans escaped, but I don't think the Jaw Titan or Cart Titan can really match up to Eren/Armin.
Then again, just bring Levi and 10 good swords, and the war will be over.

That's the most frightening aspect- the resources Paradis Island still has. Honestly, they'll probably run over the continent in a week or so if they keep going at this pace.
That being said, the new Warhammer titan design is spot on. A huge hammer packing a ridiculous punch plus the ability to alter one's surroundings (ie. those spiky thingies)? Just dayum.
Whats the status of the manga? Good, or noticeably dragged out for that cash? Wasn‘t it supposed to end already or soonish as planned before and then got longer?

I don't know if it's been dragged out but once we get to The Basement the plot takes a massive shift and we're now in a bit if "And Now For Something Completely Different".
Heck, Eren only just reappeared (or at least was confirmed to reappear)
I think the pacing is fine. It dragged a bit for a few chapters but I think its because the author wanted the opening salvo of the final arc to land on Chapter 100.
The author said a few years ago he wanted to end it in 20 volumes and people debated whether that meant 20 more or 20 total, and we're about on pace for the "20 more" estimate. But this series to me has seemed a lot better planned out long term than your average shonen, and seriously, how many authors can actually even gauge that accurately? And why would you want them to? The creative process doesn't work like that lol.
The last estimate given by Isayama was actually about 25-27 volumes (2-3 more years at the time of the Uprising arc). Right now the story's at 99-102, which is volume 25.
Rather than feeling like the story was dragging things out, what I got from this was trying to properly connect everything and build up to the finale. I feel like it could've been more streamlined similarly to the Coup arc. A lot of the build up in AoT generally feels clumsy like that. The story's different parts have to connect somehow, there's always interesting stuff in the build-up, AoT just kinda struggles getting there. When it gets there, it gets there, though. The execution of the build-up is always weaker than the main stuff to me, anyway.
If I'd estimate, I'd give it another 5 volumes, ending at 30 volumes/around 120 chapters. Judging by themes and character development, it's definitely ending.
If by "dragged" out you mean not having constant murder and death every chapter, yes it has "dragged", but I would say the story has built up to something really interesting and leading to some pretty epic situations soon
I feel like some chapters really didn't have much substance to them that we didn't already know and some of it was also pretty redundant.
I really appreciate the slow character building stuff. Historia's character development in the Coup arc and Eren and Reiner in this arc have been excellent. Eren's growth is really rewarding.
In this chapter he didn't even let the enemy transform before he attacked. No shounen tropes for you.
These last few chapters, along the coup d'état and the basement arcs sold this series for me. Volume 18 is already in my possession and I just pre-ordered the first 5 volumes. Gonna buy all the volumes this year.
I stopped reading after the timeskip happened and just followed up.
There were some further questions answered why and how Reiner and his crew did their thing. But aside from that it was just stuff that didn't draw me in to this series. More imperialistic wars, child soldiers, second class citizens and of course self-righteous speeches on both sides.
Welp, as happy as I am to see Eren and his Titan fighting again, I strongly dislike how he and Armin orchestrated this surprise attack in such a bloody way.
Not better than Reiner now, eh Eren? Repeating history…
Sow the winds, and you'll reap whirlwinds. That goes to both factions.

Endgame happening folks.
I can't even imagine the climax now, past few chapters has been so intense….
We are definitely witnessing one of the finest ending for a popular manga.
Looking forward to ma boi Armin using those lights to drop in and fuck shit up.
And Armin is still nowhere to be seen. I'm guessing he is the trump card in all this.
This arc has been very entertaining, I didn't have faith that Attack on Titan could pull of a satisfying ending run but it's has thoroughly exceeded my expectations.
And whomever ate the female titan.
The score is:
Paradise: founding, attack, colossal.
Captured: female
Eldian: jaw, beast, cart, warhammer
MIA: armor

Mikasa said it, what they did was irredeemable. Well, Marley started this sht, now they need to pay. The cycle of revenge and violence will not stop. Looking forward to the next chapter.

History is much like an endless waltz. The three beats of war, peace and revolution continue on forever
-the great philosopher, Mariemaia Khushrenada
Looking forward to Armin dropping in ala Bertholdt at Shiganshina but with far more devastating results.
I guess we'll be getting a Female Titan reveal as well since Eren seemed to have no issues with warhammer woman being crystallised?
Can't wait for the next chapter, this setup is leading to one hell of an epic finale.
The thing is that for what we know of the female titan, her power is mostly annie-fu and controlling regular titans, of wich there are none around.
My favorite bit from the chapter was the empathy all the various characters showed. They're all doing this to survive and be free. Death and cruelty is supposed to be horrible within all the various fractions.
Turns out the Warhammer Titan's wielder is even more determined and focused than I had thought. Talk about battle maid~
The Paradis fraction knew beforehand about the Eldians' resources hence I feel like they will keep the upper hand in this battle and take a titan or two. What they didn't account for are those unknown factors that albeit small might hurt them in the long run (the little Eldian girl who's out for blood, the cartridge titan actually shooting at them, etc).
