tldr; Go canadian, if you go american the credit card restrictions are harsher.
Pre ordered Samus Returns, never really played the Metroid games before, but Nintendo brought the series back, and it's a female main character, so I'll put my money where my mouth is and support it.

If not Hidari, then Akihiro Yamada would be great as the next artist for FE. His style as seen in Heroes is just so different and would cast a new light on FE after the Anime Era (he did the art for dudes like Zephiel, Jeigan, Gunter, Ogma).

The Switch is region free. You can just create a free account in the region that you want to buy, and buy with any standard credit card (or paypal soon apparently).

I have also problem with PSN. They don't accept credit cards from my country. I am always obliged to buy prepaid cards and then use them. Where I didn't have any problem with my credit cards and nintendo e-shop even though I only bought a dlc, not a full game.
I have two exams that day. D: But should be able to watch it as that is after my classes.
I haven't been impressed by a Nintendo Direct in a very, very, very long time, though, so I'm not expecting much. Not even Animal Crossing. :(

Or they could have you start with FE7 in the first half, and then instead of the whole time travel with kids bullshit, it just outright timeskips to FE6 where characters inherit skills from their parents.
In any case, I highly doubt they'll do another remake immediately, much like Pokemon Company wouldn't jump from ORAS to DPP remake. I can see the Switch game being the main priority right now, and that one being an original story or a sequel to one of the 3DS games given their…. ugh.... popularity.

Lots of interesting points in that video, but I kinda wish rogersbase had kept his pants on for half of that. I understand his existence is primarily fueled by hype, but the man needs to calm down a bit.
It's kind of weird to me how many games I outright forgot about, like the million Kirby games and the Yoshi game. Personally, I do agree in expecting some sort of announcement shenanigans for the world championship, particularly smash, given that by then both Pokken and Arms will be out and there will be no issue in marketing a fighting game and it eating into the sales of another.
I also agree pokemon does their own thing, but I am still really really hoping for something on USUM. Considering GS comes out next week on virtual console, they should at least mention pokemon in some form or fashion, and it'd be great to promote those virtual console releases by mentioning alolan forms of johto mons.
Don't know what else to expect really. Kinda don't want more Odyssey info since the more I hear and see the more I fear I won't like it, and I could not give less shits about the Zelda DLC, so my base expectations are low.

A lot of people would like this BUT the problem is that only ~10% of the cast is a connection between both games. [Roy, Fir, Klein, Clarine, Lilina, Sue, Hugh, Lugh, and Ray]. I've dreamed of a two-in-one dealio for ages, but my fanfic-y brain just imagines chapters in between the two games showing the trouble Bern starts to cause.

I'm putting my foot down on this prediction and say a clean slate. New system, first console FE in 10+ years, it's not gonna be a sequel to any of those. And if I'm wrong, I will dig up this post and expose myself, that's how adamant I am.
I honestly don't think FE7 need a remake. Both of them have a little more than 30 chapters each counting the Gaiden Chapters and if we have to fix one, be the one with Roy. You could still put Lyn somehow there.

whether or not FE7 is involved in the latter is up in the air. FE6 remake would mean more since it never got an official release.
