@uniaka:
The alliance between cc capone and luffy wasn't unpredictable, they had common enemy since the start and cc was already made ally in previous arcs, capone part of same generation as luffy.
Right, and yet, pretty much nobody predicted that they would team-up. Instead, if I remember correctly, the prevalent assumption was that Capone would end up being the actual Big Bad of the arc after he shot Pekoms.
The boring part is the constant running from BM and get saved by something. First the bomb saves them, then nami with her powers, now Pedro and they are free to run some more from this yonkou.

boring, exactly? There were many awesome and cool scenes in the last couple of chapters, yet people act like nothing has been happening and want Oda to rush the confrontation with one of the four Yonko! It's simple arc fatigue and nothing else. That is really not a new thing, people have been complaining about the end of an arc dragging on since probably Skypiea. I`m personally very glad that Oda is taking his time, especially after we were all worried that he would rush through this arc to get to Wano. This kind of stuff is called building up the climax. It's necessary for a good narrative.
