We still don't know why Dogtooth's fruit is a paracemia. He could simply be a non-natural element but has all the powers of a logia. So it doesn't have to do with awakening. Logia and zoans has definition while paracemia are a dump for anything that does not fit. It's not like the fruits actually comes with label.
I can understand why people have problem with Dogtooth(but I had the same with Luffy forever) but not Trebol. He just produce a lot of shit and put him on himself. It's the equivalent of Mr.3 constantly covering himself in wax armor.
Aokiji fruit also bothers me in his ability to freeze thing that seems more like paracemia to me. Even the name sounds paracemia(It's chill not ice). but then you have Croc absorbing moisture but that doesn't bother me since it's on contact and I can see sand absorbing moisture. So it could be a personal thing.

Luffy is the only one that became his thing tho. He is rubber. He is made of something else. I can't think someone else that had similar effect that wasn't a logia. So Dogtooth don't bother me. But I do think he changed it after the fact rather than decide from the get go he was a paracemia.
Special paracemia is weird. They are already so varied that I don't why one would be considered special.
Like some already said Daz, Capone, that WB commander that can use hammers or whatever, Baby 5 (as seen by her reintegrating), Kuma (has paws).
You are concentrating too much on the becoming something else thing. Of course there are those that have to actively use their ability but there are many examples of people´s bodies being altered permanently.
And Luffy being rubber and Katakuri displaying Logia like abilities while being called Logia by Jinbe is not remotely the same, so…
It would be like Luffy throwing rubber balls around.

But the one label for that fruit is everything Zoans and Logias don't already specialize in. So it's redundant and not that useful for a Paramecia to get an Awakening that is only Logia intangibility in the New World where everybody has Armament Haki. Although Oda has broken that already when it comes to characters like Baron Tamago being a pseudo-Zoan, so I shouldn't expect consistency anymore.
Luffy is… tolerable. It does feel cheap for his rubber ability to be passive instead of needing to be activated like Jozu's diamonds, but I can let it slide. It only bothers me because it feels a bit like cheating to have him, the protagonist, to be immune to blunt damage where there are so many antagonists that specialize in brute strength. And I don't have an issue with Trebol aside from questioning how he can see if he is always inside of his goo and has a fake head that we never see move.
Aokiji's mostly fine to me, but I get what you mean. Although it makes me wonder what his Awakening could possibly even be if he already freezes the environment as he pleases, although he's mostly done that with the ocean only so far. I assume that Punk Hazard is the way it is because both Aokiji and Akainu used Awakening, which would be foreshadowing for Doflamingo using Awakening from the environment in Dressrosa.
If anything, Blackbeard's darkness Devil Fruit bothers me because I have to wonder what is the point of making him a Logia if he can't become intangible. It's not like nullifying Logia intangibility had to come from an anti-Logia Devil Fruit instead of a Paramecia. It's like Oda was really stubborn about wanting darkness to be classified as an element because it is traditionally considered to be an elemental superpower, but also didn't want Blackbeard to be overpowered. But even that doesn't make sense because Caribou is basically the Yami Yami no Mi actually acting like a true Logia.
True
Only that Luffy´s immunity against blunt damage was never a big advantage against serious opponents except Moria really, but even then he suffered injuries as seen with the bubble. Lucci had piercing damage in his leopard form, Enel used a weapon, Crocodile, Arlong, Kuro…
And now we have Haki.
Freezing by not touching it. Everything he did so far is by touching. Well, except him using Partisan which could be interpreted as Awakening already... maybe...
