@Tamiel:
I am not sure how far will go in regards to medicine in One Piece. Is there an equivalent to senzu beans in One Piece, be it man made or natural->processed. Be that as it may, currently we have not seen any medicine in the entire world that has the effect you are describing. Of course excluding the ope ope no mi.
Which is why exactly why Oda should work a bit more diligently in making Chopper's dream of becoming a doctor who cure any illness come to fruition. The medicine doesn't exist? Then Chopper make a new one from analyzing the symptoms, analyzing the cause, and putting together his own ingredients. This is One Piece, one of the most fantastical series in existence. Oda can make something up to be quirky and awesome whenever he wants to, and medicine should not be an exception when he makes up all sorts of sci-fi and fantasy elements. Just look at how Chopper came up with the Rumble Balls.
In fact, it is the case the Law acted as a nurse, while Chopper did the entire work, and in a couple of hours no less. If you take Law out of the picture, then the children would have had to rest for maybe a week or more, taking some medication until their body release the toxins and then go on about their merry lives. Law just helped them reduce that time frame to instant.
Would the medicine have really caused them to release the toxins? I can't remember all that well, I thought they only healed the symptoms. Regardless, that still makes Chopper look pathetic compared to Law.
If Law would have been interested then maybe he could have performed it. To perform so many operations and then to have enough energy to fight Vergo, someone he did not even anticipate on the island, would be hard hard to handle. I still imagine he would need a sterile room to operate and the children were going crazy. Too much stamina would have been needed. He could have help Mocha too, but he was too busy fighting. Chopper participation cannot be just brushed off.
We can imagine all we want about the unelaborated details. But Oda hasn't cared to give the specifics of how the surgery should go down. Law just had some free time at the end of the arc and fixed up the kids when Chopper wasn't even paying attention. The most they'll need apparently worry about is some rehab.

!
So whether Law couldn't do it then because he had to deal with Vergo later, it still makes Chopper's efforts look redundant aside from maintaining stability.
Like I said above it was more like Chopper was complaining to Luffy that his nurse was using extreme methods. When he just told him to give them their medication and Law being too impatient and just extracted the leftover. Also the highlight of Chopper which proved his superiority, was when he performed his best operation technique on Law: His hug.

Law probably only said to give the medication because he was lazy/apathetic and didn't need a hassle when he wanted to focus on Caesar and Vergo. Those extreme methods got things done in the blink of an eye. Chopper was complaining solely due to rushing to conclusions and ended up looking pathetic. The medicine talk just makes things worse because Oda made the plight of the kids looks like it needed specialized treatment. But nope, Law's powers just happen to fix it as a side thought once the arc is over.
Maybe that is how Chopper will defeat Doc Q and cure him and Stronger of their bodily ailments. With adorable mascot hugs.
It all seems to tie up quite nicely, the candy, the kids, Big Mom. However, I refure to believe that Big Mom's ~illness~ is nothing more than a tantrum, she is like the biggest baby-Mama.
Why would you think that? They literally mentioned that it's an illness, and it has effects of amnesia. Big Mom is a huge selfish baby, but that's why this type of illness thematically suits her so much. Her personality doesn't have to mean that everything about her can't be a serious thing that needs to be dealt with.
Me neither, but neither do I see Chopper healing anyone on the opposing side.:ninja:
With all of the betrayals and chaos that's bound to happen in the wedding, it would be a bit foolish to expect the lines drawn beforehand to stay the same afterwards.
I should have put MAYBE. I do not think it would be any one in the crew. Unless, that's the last crewmate's disease. ~ ! ! ~
Eh.
