Yeah, usually you want Adamant, Timid, Jolly or Modest.
Defensive mons might want to shore up their weaker defense with the unused attack.
Trick room teams want something from the last collumn.
Mixed attackers are the only ones who could dare to sacrifice defenses.

They aren't supposed to be legendaries I think, they are just pokemon from a different dimension, they have the same base stats as this region "trio"(the Tapus are actually 4) though so I'm not sure about where they stand, they are allowed in VGC, but once again the trios are also allowed since they don't have crazy stats.

Once you read set ups all over the place and watch things like YouTube videos on people playing competitive battles and creating competitive sets, the more recurring natures kinda begin seeping into your memory.
The real impressive feat is when people can look at a mon and immediately guess their possible nature, item and moveset based on how the meta works.
Or the people who know those things from how much damage they deal and recieve.

My tapus are all hot garbage. All my legendaries have their 3 free "best" and a bunch of decent and even "no good" that seems like is the current "0".

My current Battle Tree strat is paying some dividends. I gave my Xurkitree 252 SpAtk/252 Spd, Electrium Z, open with Z-thunderbolt when possible, and accumulate SpAtk boosts. Sometimes I get knocked out by a fast earthquake, and def need to come up with some good supports, but the thing makes for an easy sweeper at the tree if you just want some points.
I'm looking for a Pheremosa with some decent nature/IV (Attack-based) if anyone's got one to spare. I know that's a tall order, and I don't have much to give besides my own spare legends, but I'd even be willing to spare a golden bottlecap for one if somebody wants.
Edit: Making clear that the bottle cap is for a good natured and/or IVed one. I know Moon dudes get like 4 of them in their games, so there's a lot to go around. I'd be willing to trade off a Kartana for any old Pheremosa, but I'm mostly looking for a good one to cheese with.

Wow, the final battle with Guzma was intense! Golisopod was still beastly and it and Masquerain did a lot of damage to my team, so I had to hit the Z-move panic button to take that thing out. I only won thanks to Starmie tanking an X-Scissor from Pinsir with 1 HP left and Scald burning it (my last Pokemon was Lurantis, which would've been slaughtered).
Since I fought him at twilight, seeing the sky start at orange with stars during the pre-fight cutscene, fade to purple/orange during the battle itself, then be completely purple afterwards as the sun set was a really cool effect.
I never had to do this so I can't personally confirm, but I read many people saying that's false. You just have to leave the ruins and re-enter them.
Hmm. I can confirm with Koko at the very least. I revisited the shrine immediately after the credits since I knocked it out, then proceeded to knock it out again to atleast confirm for myself it was a re-fightable thing. But anytime I interacted with the shrine afterwards, the stone didn't give off any reaction. And this was after coming back a week after knocking him out the second time.
The stone did initiate the fight after I did the E4, though. So I'm assuming it was either that, or something else that caused it to respawn.
I defeated Tapu Koko in the first fight as well due to a lack of PokéBalls, the only things I've done since then is fight Anabel and visit Ms. Wicke and Tapu Koko does reappear for me if I touch the stone.

I heard Tapu Koko + Xurkitree is a doubles combo that completely wrecks, have you tried that? Even in singles, since Koko leads to set up electric terrain, then Volt Switch into Xurkitree and spam Discharge or whatnot. I think if they are using something immune or resistant (like Ground) you swap into something different like Tapu Bulu.

Have the pokémon with Synchronize as the lead of the group and the wild Pokémon will have a 50% chance of having the same nature. It will work even if the pokémon with synchronize has fainted.

Oooh, that might be good to try. I haven't done doubles yet on Battle Tree, but that intrigues me, haha.

Unfortunately, the best Kartanas I've got are Naughty and Careful, which aren't too useful. If any of those interest you, I'd def take the trade, but I think you can do better, haha.

I just google the names of the things, haha. The rule of thumb is get a nature that increases a preferred stat while sacrificing an unused stat (usually the unused attack stat, since a pokemon with no special attacks isn't going to need any points in that stat). Sometimes you might look for a nature that reduces speed, if you're going for a trick room set, or want a slow U-turn/volt switch.
Aaah. I know it makes or breaks some pokemon competitively, and maybe if I had more investment in that I'd probably memorize them with ease lol. Once I import my HG/W2/Y/OR pokemon maybe I can have fun with battling.

If a parent is holding Destiny Knot, however, then they pass down 5/6 of their perfect IVs to the child, and the last is random. A 6 perfect IV ditto with Destiny Knot passes down 5 guaranteed perfect IVs to the child, no matter what it is. Most pokes really only need 5, anyways (same with natures in that usually you don't need both attack stats, and some pokes prefer low speed stats).

Most of the work imo that comes into making a "competitive" team is planning. And I mean like writing things down, taking note of how teams could work together as a whole.. ect. Especially if you are making your own sets that isn't taken from Smogon(though these could give you an idea where to start). The process used to take me hours… Maybe even days, lol. There's just so much synergies, even if they are mostly not all that useful.
I quit making teams when at the end of last gen when gamefreak introduced Primal Forms and god-damned Mega Rayquazza into the game. That and the Mega metagame didn't seem all that appealing since they were kinda too strong and you needed one in a team. Don't know if I'd come back to it.
This time around it should be interesting to see what meta game develops without mega forms being allowed and with z-moves coming into play. Particularly looking forward to the creative use of some of these pokemon in support roles for vgc.

Almost but not quite, destiny knot changes the inheritance from 3 stats from both parents to 5 stats from both parents.
Suppose you have a Perfect ditto and a 0iv in all six magikarp, it will take at random from both parents, and randomize the last, it migth take from only one parent, but I can't be sure because it would be very rare.
The idea is to keep switching the magikarp with the best next offspring.
Ditto just makes it "easier", but you can breed yourself the perfect dad Mon to use similarly, chaining 2 strong mons from the same group, and breeding until you get a perfect male one, but that is very limiting because now you have to pay a ton of attention to the gender, and with the effort needed to get 3-4 perfect parents you can get enough good dittos to make it not matter.

Seriously, you've got the dramabombs of Lusamine going nuts and denying her children, summoning eldritch horrors while she's grinning like a madwoman while they're upset, Hau's shocked, Guzma's leering…then the camera pans and the protagonist's still got that vacant :) expression on his dumb face. Maybe I should buy the mirrored sunglasses that Dexio and Sina have to complete the "I don't give a fuuuuuuck!" look.
! Also, Gladion, why are you telling Hau to fight Guzma. Have you seen his team? He's only got three Pokemon, one of which is a Raichi, the other a Decidueye. He's going to get wrecked.
Seafolk Village has really nice music, regardless of the time of day, and those scenes with Lillie are cute but, maybe she might wanna share some of those Max Repels. The level spike on Poni Island is real.

Now I'm having a hard time deciding what kind of set and Nature I'd want and wish the game allowed me to catch six of them instead of two.
Ok, gotta request and not sure if I'm gonna get any biters, but we'll see.
I've beaten the game. Got to endgame. The last couple of island Challenges as well as the finale was all tough! I was down to my last Pokémon a few times!! Much niceness to be had there, I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Anyway, I'm now in postgame and I'm on my tradition now: Dex hunting. I have right now, in the Pokémon Bank, a "Living Pokédex". What this is, is in my bank I have, in order, one of every single Pokémon. All 721 Pre-Gen 7 Pokémon. Including all forms and Evolutions. Bulbasaur through Volcanion.
The goal here is that I will now have, forever, every Pokémon. When the Bank opens to Gen 7 in January and we get a National Pokédex in Sun and Moon, I can just transfer them all over and BAM. Complete Dex. Done.
So in postgame, I've been doing that in Sun and Moon and I'm down to the nitty gritty now. I have a few Moon exclusives, the Tapus, and the Ultra Beasts and I'm DONE!! I even managed to magically get another Null through the GTS so I can have a Null AND A Silvaly now… My ONLY issues is... the game only gives you ONE Cosmog.... I need a second one so I can have Cosmoem in the Living Dex... It's the only one I think I'm gonna have problems with.
TL;DR: Anyone here on AP willing to trade me a Cosmog or Cosmoem?
Also, I'm the kind who knows how and is willing to breed for good natures and IVs. If it will sweeten the deal, I will spend the time to breed you a particular 'Mon until it has the perfect ability, nature, IVs, what have you if it will get me the Cosmog/Cosmoem I need.

The nature leads to a 10% increase/decrease in stats, so it does have an important impact, which differs based on the mon. The rest you have correct. Best case scenario is to have all three. Nature's the easiest to get, since you just need to breed for it. EVs require either work (picking the right battles, using EV boosting items, pokerus) or time (Palego). IVs require good luck and a lot of breeding (at least until the dudes trading off hacked 6IV dittos are back. Then you just need a destiny knot, and you're in the money).

You can get the ability to judge IVs from your PC if you hatch 20 eggs and talk to the dude to the right of the Battle Tree. It's pretty helpful, since all legends have some guaranteed perfect IVs.
Also, that Buzzwole is amazing.
And speaking of breeding, in between work, I've gotten to the tail end of my Wimpod project! I've got a destiny knot, with the 5IVs I need between Wimpods, breeding 4IV ones on average. Hopefully, I'll soon have that 5IV Adamant Wimpod with Aqua Jet, and Spikes in a Beast Ball. First ones I have will go to breeding, then one for me, and the rest for distribution.

You can "change" the IVs of a pokémon now with the Hyper training. It requires the pokémon to be in lv100, though, but if you intend to bring your pokémon that far, then IVs are not really that important. Focus on nature since that's the only thing you can't change.
Also, I don't know for Moon, but in Sun the Kartanas are extremely easy to catch, you just need to throw the Beast Ball at them and it will succeed even at full HP every time. This should make reseting for them much quicker.

That isn't really true. First off, Kartana's only in Sun. Secondly, the beast balls have a high capture rate, but it's not 100%, certainly not exclusively for one species. The beast ball just works with a x5 capture rate on UBs, and a x0.1 on all else.
