It is not that hard when there is lack of content to read.
-
Ok, I was exaggerating, but I doubt it should take more than like couple of hours, depending on reading speed and whether you will ponder about the content.

…well, it's a fitting volume for the "end" of the series I s'pose. Sad for Orihime and Chad though, Uryu and Renji get final volume covers and they don't.
Orihime already had two covers, that's probably why she didn't got one this arc. Chad, though…

that's true, but honestly i am a bit of a slow reader,so it would take me more time sadly.
and i originally watched the anime, and only read the manga later, for only some chapters.so anime is definitely the preferred option when it comes to bleach,as that's how i viewed it.
in the end though like i said,it's not like i have a burning need to read or watch bleach.i get around toenjoying various stuff a lot later even if the it is good,so bleach being known to be crappy beforehand will probably not be touched in a while.
if there was an anime,it would have nice animation and soundtrack to it's credit,so i would have more incentive to get to it.
but it seems there is no news on the anime. -
but one i'd rather not do as i doubt i'll feel satisfied with just completing something that half-assedly.
The manga itself was completed half-assedly, so why put more effort into reading it than what was put into making it?
-
i know it's crap, that's why i dropped it in the first place.it was around when we get to know about ichigo's mom and her backstory.
It's been discussed before, heck in this thread even, but Masaki being a quincy was a half-baked idea on kubo's part to make Ichigo's involvement in the war more meaningful. Which is stupid because A) we already have a resident quincy, B) the whole issue regarding Ichigo's powers, and C) the fact that Ichigo never bothered to use his quincy power. I've said it before, but it would have been better had Masaki been a fullbringer instead.
-
though i have no actual idea about that, and so was wondering if anyone did
I didn't watch the anime that far myself but only heard that Fullbring Arc was the last straw of its anime continuation. The fillers got considerably worse and senseless (like having Strawberry-chan being able to cast Final Getsuga again somehow) they probably needed excuse to end it or just too optimistic, thinking that the fans would change their opinions about Fullbring Arc when they saw it animated.
Zanpakto Rebellion Arc was okay though, so you might wanna watch just that from start till finish and abandon the rest.
-
@Count:
Here's the Volume 74 cover, assuming that it hasn't been posted yet.

It definitely was. Too bad it wasn't canon. Would've been some great insight to soul society and the gotei 13

Zampakuto Rebellion was far better than anything in the manga after Soul Society

Kubo returned to twitter to announce that he has achieved the goal of his life: he has become Mayuri.
And what did you do with your life?

Kubotsuchi should be the new "fat Naruto".

Not read the remainder of Bleach or is this about Kubo:ninja:

Bleach Manga Gets 2 Novels Penned by Makoto Matsubara, Ryohgo NaritaThe wraparound jacket band on the 74th and final compiled book volume of Tite Kubo's Bleach manga revealed on Friday that the franchise will get two novels. Makoto Matsubara, who has written previous novelizations of the manga, will write the first novel. The novel will center on Renji and Rukia, and is slated for December. Ryohgo Narita (Baccano!, Durarara!!) will write the second novel. The novel will focus on Shūhei Hisagi's secret battle, and is slated for 2017.

The RenRuki novel will be on Rukia's wedding. The Hisagi novel will also be about Tosen, the four noble families and the Soul King.
-
I have absolutely no interest in either of those.
-
I just have this feeling of too little too late. Kubo you wasted so much time on unnecessary topics instead of telling the story. The Lille fight, Gerald fight, twenty plus chapters of the shinigami trying to get to the royal realm. Fucking hell.

Shuhei's bankai?

I don't buy it.
"Draw it the way that you want" is the way that an artist or an experimented fan talks, not a kid.

No, it didn't say anything. It is just about Kubo giving thanks to the fan who supported him during his difficult time. He didn't explain anything about why Bleach ended.

Yeah, I think I kind of misinterperted it, rereading it. Gotta read more carefully.
-
"He managed to write BLEACH for 15 years. He says he managed to write BLEACH’s final chapter the way he had decided to since chapter 1. "
Lol that sounds like straight-up-last-minute-saving-face type bullshit. This guy who pretty much wrote himself to a corner with the Aizen twist somehow always knew that he would end the series just like that with the final chapter?
-
The final two chapters were textbook passionless writing by the shonen trope checklist bullshit. Whether that kid is real or not, I don't know but Kubo sure wasn't thinking of him when he wrapped everything up.
-
Yeah I misread it, I doubt this in any way influenced the actual writing, as much as motivated to keep him going at points and I don't think that's unbeliveable. As much as I don't think Bleach is good at all, why would he thank his readers or put this story out there in the first place if he actually didn't care at all? Something tells me he cared/cares, just not in the ways that made a good story (in my opinion).
I don't think his writing was very good for the larger part of the story, but if someone else liked it, more power to them. It's not the end of the world if someone likes something I don't, but that's just me speaking.

Could be that or it could be Kubo trying to save-face at the last second to try, and sound like he was actually motivated when the last arc is easily by far the most passion-less arc Kubo has ever written.

I doubt that somebody gives a shit anymore, but whatever…

I would care if Kubo would draw and post one drawing of something we wanted to see. Every month.
Like Sequnda Etapa for Grimm, or some Ryuken in Reishi armor or Hisagis Bankai and so on.
Or at least do some one long chapter long story for each unsolved plotline. It would give a volume worth of material and many people would buy it just for feel of completition.

So the Soul Society jerry rigged Juha Bach body to be like like Weekend at Bernie's to be the Soul King.
Any info on Rukia and tattoo guys wedding?

Given the wording in that second chapter translation, I wonder if the previous soul king was also a defeated enemy sealed to serve as the lynch pin.
-
Wait, is that true? Then why not Aizen? If the soul king is just the paperweight of reality, Aizen acomplishing his dream for it to not be like he wanted it at all would be glorious, it would be like if Earth Mother Dakki died by polution, or Shaman King Hao having to be a kind and merciful god to EVERYONE.

That would actually be clever and make to much sense for kubo to come up with.^^

Just a theory but maybe Aizen couldn't handle it even if he had wanted to. Ywach's powers were no joke and after he basically absorbed the Soul King they became something even greater. It is at least possible that even if Aizen had wanted to sit in the chair and regulate everything he simply wasn't powerful enough to do so.
-
The Soul King was evil this whole time?
-
The Soul King was evil this whole time?
It seems possible. He seemed to be sealed in that crystal, so he didn't ever act that I saw. Impossible to know because of that, but none the less possible.
-
Maybe Aizen isn't powerful enough, but what about the chair?
-
The chair doesn't want that seat.

Any info on Rukia and tattoo guys wedding?
Some info from /a/.
! > -Rukia and Renji invited Gotei members to have some sake (like a tea party) where they announced they were getting married like this,
-Rukia’s face gets redder and redder from anxiety when Renji, finally, stands up straight nervously with her next to him. She deeply thanks everyone for coming and Renji spills it with a “We- we are getting married!” declaration and there’s shocked silence for a moment until Rangiku, Hanataro, Kiyone, and others congratulate them, people aren’t surprised by them getting together (I think this part is translated? But I’ll put it here because I found it really cute and humorous how it was written.)
-Rukia goes to Byakuya’s place to inform she’s going to do the marriage enrollment, Chiyo appears again (Rukia’s servant & friend from Makoto-sensei’s last novel The Death Save The Strawberry) to help her
-Iba takes care of Komamura’s dog, Goro. I haven’t seen any confirmation on the wolf cubs’ relation to Komamura (I sort of skimmed here a bit sorry)
-Renji and Rukia run into Iba & the doggos on their way and they get friendly here
-Rukia and Renji are packing and looks to be getting a mansion/house to live in together in the first central ward area due to the upcoming establishment of marriage (this is before the ceremony)
-Everyone’s fave forgotten shinigami Ryuunosuke Yuki & others appear here for a short bit to help with moving and duties (he’s confirmed alive at least? they don’t do anything important)
-Ryuusuke & other members give them some device box from Urahara-san that flashes into white smoke, Urahara greets them which Rukia & Renji try to reply to and are surprised by being congratulated for their marriage. It is a recorded voice mail. They also receive a gift from him with the device. (He’s being shady about some technology gift they must keep a secret? Don’t quote me on this part.)
! > -Renji & Rukia have a meal at Byakuya’s place in silence which makes Renji nervous and they look to get a kimono because Byakuya asked about his dress earlier with Rukia. Later all three go to get their marriage papers officialized and announced as an official couple, the two get emotionally happy over this on finally being married. The wedding ceremony section:
-It starts with Orihime at a park by the train station where she and Renji&Rukia meet up-Rukia asks how the shop is prospering since Orihime works as a regular employee at a bakery’s cake store called “ABCookies” ever since after high school graduation three summers ago
-Because Orihime relied on distant relative’s living expenses, but since they would only give assistance until high school graduation, she had to look for work.
-Just from the air that Renji and Rukia seem more intimate than before, Orihime wonders happily with a big smile - “Oh, you two started dating, isn’t it?!” Orihime’s intuition is sharp although dull many times (?)
-Rukia is taken aback by the suddenness that she’s laughing nervously and stumbling for words. “Inoue, Renji and I… We entered today… ah……. ah oh yeah um… entering… We entered to get married.” sort of thing. Orihime is really happy to hear this that she’s begun to cry tearfully with a shining smile
-Wondering if Rukia has told Ichigo yet, Rukia tells her she wanted to tell her female best friend first of the news before heading over to see Ichigo
-Riruka works at Yukio’s enterprise company, works as a designer in the apparel department
-Jackie Tristan too works at the same company but she flies all over the world to developing countries as charity, so they rarely see each other in person
! > -Orihime calls Riruka and talks about Rukia getting married and the ceremony is approaching in a couple of weeks, she wanted to make a wedding dress for her at first. Riruka yells that it’s not possible for a beginner to do in two weeks in which Orihime thinks over again with the suggestion of a wedding veil instead. They agree and order the materials.-Ichigo is a university student coming home from afternoon class (doesn’t mention what field/career)
-Tatsuki does karate
-All the human friends are gathered at Kurosaki Clinic including Tatsuki, Keigo, and Mizuiro and the two Kurosaki sisters
-The later four’s careers aren’t mentioned
-They’re all eating cakes Orihime brought from ABCookies and working on the veil progressively together and it takes them hours until completion
-Orihime liked flowers since a long time ago. They are putting texture of strawberry flower petals on the hem of the veil. In the language of flowers, it means happy family which she says would be perfect as a motif on the veil for the loving couple which everyone sewed some petals on then put the gold embroidery through.(Ichika isn’t really mentioned in the novel but it’s a speculation on connecting the dots where her name comes from with this info drop)
-Uryu is a medical student in medical school. He’s mended his relationship with his father but does not answer any more questions about it.
-Chad’s sparring partner is named Daniel (安堂ダニエル) a heavyweight Japanese champion, he leaves after getting the call
-Yuzu says Orihime acts as a mother so she is very happy when she’s around. Karin agrees when asked and says she’s reminded of her mother, Masaki, and looks at the large poster in the room when they talk more about it fondly.
-Orihime wears a pink dress made of fluffy chiffon material at the wedding ceremony (putting this here for the colorists/editors)
-After the ceremony is done with Renji and Rukia being wed, there’s a feast.
! > -The girls including Orihime and Rangiku all excitedly take pictures of Rukia and with Rukia by putting their faces together behind the camera
(A lot are camera happy haha)-Kyoraku borrows Rukia for a moment and they leave to have some privacy because Kyoraku has a story to tell her and gives a gift wrapped in cloth to her
-Rukia is really surprised it’s the 13th squad’s haori and gets overwhelmed by emotions
-Ukitake had told Kyoraku he wants to retire one day so he originally tailored a haori to give to Kaien but then he lost his life
-Kyoraku did not give it to Rukia until today because he was waiting for her heart to grow (to strengthen her heart for leadership). Also hands her an envelope with a heavy banknote inside, Rukia tries to not accept but Kyoraku tells her it is from Ukitake and pleads for her to please accept
Rukia swears an oath to herself that it won’t be too far in the future she will be captain with the haori, she just needs more time-Four hours after the reception, the humans are now leaving to head home and they give gift bags.
-There is a message from Isshin given to Rukia. Isshin tells he is the uncle to Kaien. At the time of his nephew’s death, he was the tenth captain so it was a shock. Of course, he had heard the circumstances from Ukitake, and thought Rukia needed a helping hand/comfort most, so he visited the 13th barracks many times but when he saw Rukia’s painful profile/look, he could not call out anything.
-Renji tells Rukia to remain and he’ll escort the humans to the senkaimon so that they can head home because he is a part of the 6th squad.
-What follows after are the last few pages with Renji + Ichigo and Ichigo + Orihime which are translated
-Hisagi’s 2017 novel will reveal the mystery of the world, the Fullbringers and Arrancar, the Soul King, and the great aristocrat houses
-
! At the time of his nephew’s death, he was the tenth captain so it was a shock. Of course, he had heard the circumstances from Ukitake, and thought Rukia needed a helping hand/comfort most
I never even realized what a massive plothole that was. I should have but didn't.
-
! So, Urahara is alive, so must be Grimjown and Nel.
-
Hey guys, tbh iv been really on the fence about something for a while now. Should the Bleach anime return? I know that the manga is horrible but tbh the anime actually wasn't that bad. So should it come back?
-

It's more of a question of "can it?", considering Bleach's waning ending popularity and demand for it.
Would it be nice if it did? Yes. You can get multiple slow chapters flowing better together in one episode, you'd get the funny omakes at the end of every episode, and there could be filler-ish moments to expand the stuff Kubo glossed over.
-
It's weird that it hasn't returned. I mean I'd rather if bleach stayed with the silver medal series in this aspect at least, like Sket Dance, Medaka Box, Beelzebub, Houshin Engi, Shaman King, Ruronin Kenshin, that managed to be hits and get their adaptations and then fizzled out, and didn't get the full story animated.
I'm using a narrow definition here, as I think that it includes Slam Dunk, and included Saint Seiya for like 20 years until the final arc was animated, but I'm still feeling petty against Kubo. I managed to shake off my animosity to Kishimoto rather fast, and even I managed to move on about Hiroyuki Takei (Shaman Kings' author), but Kubo's fandom insisting on evil shueisha cutting down poor beautiful Kubo before his magestic buterfly wings spreaded is the worst crime of the editorial and it's hint of their <ugh>impending DOOM as they lost touch with their fans.
This said by people who think:
That Assassination Classroom and Kochikame didn't end on their own accord (hint: the second most sold series this year, and one of the longest running manga EVER do what they want), less prominent or evident for Nisekoi, but it is certainly more in the side of "I wrapped up everything in a neat bow without any romantic triangles" rather than the Toriko and Bleach side of things.
That Sorachi and Oda are sending hidden messages on their author comments (hint: they aren't because Oda would complain more Luffyly directly to the editorial and has enough weight to get away with it, and Sorachi would make an story about it in such a roundabout way that would avoid detection for 5 chapters into the arc)
That the Table of Contents say nothing about the popularity of the series (while they did provide evidence that it's not 1:1, and their logic of moving the series around to maximize exposure of other series would make sense if they actualy moved the top series around instead of placing them front and center, and they failed to address that young series that die young do so in the bottom 5 so frecuently and those who stay do so in the mid or top of the magazine)
That Kubo was completely blinsided by the magazine (We'll never know for sure, but he started his final arc by introducing almost 30 villians, and when he was pretty close to the end instead of focusing on the main character he decides to meander with the evil hand and the space flamingo for a full volume, each)
Ok, rant finished, I'd certainly be curious of how they could handle bleach without the looming treath of catching up to white space.</ugh>
-
Kubos failure needs to be a lesson the industry and all anime fans to not be like him. Its his stupid fans that kept the series around for so long anyway
-
They are entitled to their likes and dislikes, but when they fill my sugested videos on youtube with poor research and fanfics about Kubo it bothers me.
Kubo's history is more of a lesson to shueisha more than anything.
What I learned with the deceptions of the manga industry was that no series last forever, that a manga story is not just art but business, and that to deny that is an hypocrecy to any aspiring and hungry artists, and a lie to the kind of people that believe that life is a monologue rather than a conversation, that every author makes mistakes, but good ones learn from them, that there are things from other cultures that you won't understand unless you live it, and that fans are one of the most loyal and dangerous creatures out there.
-
I kind of want the last arc animated. There's a guy on the funimation and crunchroll Facebook pages that always hops in with "bring back Bleach" no matter the topic. I just want that guy to shut up.
-
If I learned one thing from this series it's how crazy a fan base can get. There's going to be crazies in any fan base, but the lengths I've seen people go to defend this series and try to explain how things make sense and how this series is actually much deeper than anything else is insane. There are still lots of people convinced that if Kubo was given time he would've been able to make a better ending to the Bach fight, despite how fights before then ended abruptly before the last fight (Aizen even said hi in the final fight as a way to really rub it in). Then there's the people in YouTube comments who are really crazy who think people are hating on Bleach to be hipsters or something, and all this other crazy stuff. It's sad but also entertaining in some way.
-
This is very true. tbh I hate the fact that money is what keeps anime alive. There are so many great series that get completely forgotten in favor of stuff like cough bleach cough i want my ga-rei-zero to come back :(

Now you know I feel whenever I see stuff like freaking forneverworld or afrosenju pop up in my suggestion box on youtube. It happens everyday and its annoying as fuck
