Thanks for more Dressrosa :) This'll be fun coming holidays :)

My sister is about to finish Skypiea, thanks for making a shorter version of LRLL arc, we´ll give it a try once she watches the G8 filler arc, which I hear is actually good
Is Water 7/Enies Lobby filler+pacing heavy? I´m afraid because it´s already the longest saga of the series, and I see it´s yet to be on your schedule because of other arcs taking priority

Water 7 is okay in the anime. It has some padding and filler here and there, but it's nothing like the modern anime's pacing.
Enies Lobby on the other hand, is terribly padded. Skipping the overly long recaps does help, but the episodes after Robin's flashback are 1:1 pacing instead of the 1.5-2 pace that the beginning of the arc had.
On that note though, I'm probably going to go back and do Water 7-Enies Lobby whenever the One Paced Dressrosa is over (15 episodes to go there, so it'll still be quite a while. By that point, it'll likely be an alternating schedule of Water 7 -> Water 7 -> Tottoland, for my output.
-
Thanks for the updates, now I am hoping for a filler after Zou so we can get Dressrosa faster :)
By my estimate One Pace covered almost 40% of One Piece (Excluding the full fillers episodes), looking at how One Pace release pace is going now it feels that by the end of 2017 more than 70% of One Piece will be covered, that's really great work your all are doing.
BTW Zou 05 & 06 + Dressrosa 34 Torrent link on your site aren't working, I used the magnet links to get them, also Dressrosa 34 file name missing the 720p tag
-
Thank you Galaxy, it would help a lot of Enies Lobby got this service sooner than shorter arcs. I love the arc a lot, I love the CP9, but it´s undeniably long.

I'll see what the issue is with the torrent links.
I noticed the Dressrosa 34 thing when I uploaded it, but didn't bother remaking the torrent just to fix that one error. In the eventual Dressrosa batch, that will be remedied, but anybody can feel free to add the tag now and the episode will be no different.

And what about the Rest of the Summit War Saga? Impel Down Arc, Marineford Arc and Post War Arc is still (besides of Impel Down) mostly undone.
-
Sewil is working on those.
-
@Galaxy:
Sewil is working on those.
And what about Feeso? He wanted to edit the Sky Island Saga and the first 5 Episodes of the Skypiea-Arc was more less done (according of your trello-page).
-
I think feeso, alongside Skypiea, plans on releasing the rest of East Blue. But I'm not sure and can't speak for him.

Hey, the production of Skypeia was plagued with many personal interuptions for me. that signiffcantly delayed the process but the team was patient and now all that is behind me. So as of now Skypeia 1-4 are finished interms of editing and QC but they are being timed, Skypiea 1-4 will be released as a batch as soon as that is done. ATM I've been working on the Kuro Arc on the side.
-
Okay, that sounds like you guys are basically working on everything at once at the moment lol, thats so cool. Water 7 coming up soon sounds awesome as well.
But I'm surprised Totland is planned to quickly follow Zou, don't you need to wait for the OSTs again? I'll gladly take anything but I also hope they'll do a lil' filler after Zou.

Thats great. With Kuro Arc you mean "Syrup Village Arc"? And what about "Rare Animal Island"? Will you merging it with the arc?

Its not an issue to be honest, the torrent title does say 720p I just thought to tell you in case you didn't notice it but you did so its fine, also the torrent links are working for those episodes now.

Looking forward to it. Hope someone will pick up Drum Island arc next year or so. That's my alltime favorite :) (don't know how bad the padding/filler is in that arc though)

Well, after the holidays and the New Year's Eve, I could editing the "Drum Island arc" myself. But only if someone won´t editing this arc. Since, I wanted to refresh my editing skills after all, its the best way to do it ;)

Little Garden in its earliest cut so far has been cut down to 5 episodes from Toei's 8, so I'm sure 10-12 is possible compared to Toei's 14 for Drum.

It is difficult to cut/edit the fillers out with the old arcs, in regards with the background-music/soundtrack?
-
It's easier because you need to cut less, but you still need to do the same music syncing.

How did you syncing the music? Do you have the original-soundtrack?

Yes, we do.

Zou Episode 8
http://onepace.net/2016/12/25/zou-08/Awesome!
By the way? Nice avatar you get there! Was that from the show? Because I don't remember ever seeing that in the anime or manga that I read? lol
Just wondering.
-
Always makes my day when I see a new zou or dressarosa episode is out . Thank you so much
-

Yeah I mean Syrup Village arc, and no atm we're treating Rare Animal Island as it's own thing. Of course if I continue editing East Blue arcs, then that would include Rare animal too before that but Toei reallly changed a lot that we can't fix such as Zoro, Usopp and Merry being present. Regardless it hasn't been decided what will happen with that yet but I'm fairly certain that it will have to remain post Syrup village like the anime due to Ussop and Merry.
-
Thanks for the zou
Dank as always -
Awesome!

No, it's a fanmade combined image of Zoro and Usopp.

Do you guys happen to still have links to your first attempt at abridging fishman island?

They're all on our website, underneath the streams tab.

I'll check your site. Thank U

OK Ive checked it out what episodes does FI 21 cover. I mean I know how the defeats are in manga form but what is the last episode i could see of it normally without overlap of the anime source material?

It's been years since we edited it, but if it contains everything from Chapters 643-646 (4 chapters in 1 episode, wow) like it should, then it should be content from Episodes 562-566.

Hey everyone, I'm officially announcing that I'm stepping down as an Editor for the project. This is due to personal time constraints and various other concerns; however, rest assured that this was a mutual agreement. There are no hard feelings or drama to be found here.
When I first started editing for One Pace I was a complete noob, which Galaxy9000 brought in to fill in for Sewil while he was away. I was eager to help as I really believed in the goals of the project, which was essentially to make the Dragon Ball Kai equivalent of One Piece. I feel I learnt a lot working on Sabody, AL, Laboon, Davy Back Fight, Skypeia and Kuro and I’m proud of what the team has accomplished so far.
I discovered a new hobby and skill in video editing and even though I won't be working on this as an editor anymore, it was still a fun experience and I intend to continue to improve my skills as time goes on. I may get back to editing for One Pace someday but for now it's time for a break. However, I may continue to contribute with less time-consuming tasks, who knows?
Sewil has kindly offered to step in and finish the episodes I am leaving partially completed, so that the work done on them won't go to waste. Honestly, it’s kind of a relief, that I no longer need to worry about the responsibilities that come with being editor. However, I do still feel a little disappointed that I couldn’t see those episodes through to release myself. I am extremely sorry if I kept anyone waiting for them but rest assured they will come eventually and are now in Sewil's capable hands.
Anyway, I just wanted to thank the awesome people on the team and all of you guys, for your support.
-
It is very understandable. If you haven´t time for that project due private things, then you should not be doing that. I hope, that another editor will later refuel the position.

Thanks, that means a lot.

Yeah that's true and also don't worry I'm sure the position will be filled eventually.
-
Aw, that is sad! But I as well understand how time-consuming it must be. I really loved your work tho, it didn't seem like a 'noob' did those edits at all ;-)
So thanks for your hard work, hope to see you come back one day and to see the rest of your Skypiea + Kuro edits released soon.
-
Thanks for all your hard work Feeso!
-
I really appreciate your hard work guys, I really do think pacing is important!

Impel Down 2
-
Thank you for another great episodes, keep up the good work :D :D
Just a quick question, I noticed that you didn't include the opening in the newest impel down episodes :D not that it matters to much, was just wondering what's the reason behind it :) :) -

There will still be openings on the DR/Zou episodes since I'm not the editor on those.

I´m also skip the openings (of all animes) and thats why I thank you for that decision.

they are easily skippable for people who don't want to watch, i don't see the reason to remove them tbh.

Well, I skip them too and I'm sure there are a lot of other people who do it aswell :D especially if they are like me and watch more episodes at once :P but on the others side some of them are really great and from time to time I just feel like to watch them :D :D … so maybe you could include them in the first episode of each new arc or something :) just for the nostalgic feel :P :P... but they really are not necessary to be there and I can go and still watch them on youtube or something if I really feel like that so it's not a big deal..
So keep up your work guys ;) and have a great new year :)
-

True, but they also add potential spoilers for first-time viewers, and it's extra time spent on timing and editing that could be better spent on other things. I never really felt the openings added anything other than having a place to put the credits on. They're fun to watch the first time around, but the real reason they're there each episode in the actual anime is for credits, tradition, stalling, and creating an overall theme for a batch of episodes.
Galaxy wanted me to add the opening back but he also discussed the potential for a custom intro and not the Toei space thingy instead of an opening, so the intro might be improved to something fancier in the future. -
In the last half year you did:
Dressrosa 26-35 (20 Chapters)
Zou 1-8 (16 Chapters)
Impel Down 1-2 (4 Chapters)So you edited 40 Chapters since July , while Oda published 20 Chapters and One Piece edited 17 Chapters.
Thank you very much for your good job 2016 and your hard work. I hope 2017 will be the same , so you guys can focus on some older arcs.
-
Torrented all your work. Excited to check it out, but only a few actually play in VLC for me. Is there a codec I'm missing?
-
On the music front in the past you have used shortened OPs right? just have full length when the song changes and shorten it down a verse or two for regular episodes and yes, in 2016 after a long absence you guys still managed to crush toei and Oda. hopefully freeso's stuff is serviceable and you can keep expanding the team in the future. I imagine a day there is more revisions to old episodes then newly paced episodes released since there is only current arc and an older arc and multiple teams dealing with feedback and editing frames even to fix things (imagine fixing that part of davy back to proper resolution by remaking the animations at proper resolution)
surprised this project isn't leeched onto kissanime or youtube. wouldn't hurt the project, just surprised it isn't well known because some streaming video site keeps re-hosting it.
sewil had some sweet edits of doffy fight on the web long ago, can't wait to see how much you crush that section down to a 4 minute episode or w/e that will be.
To, 2017, the year we leave dressrosa for good. (unless toei releases a movie version of dressrosa with better scenes… at least OP OC movies are getting better anime support and are getting as good as the firs 4 were )
