Just a question for the One Pace team; will you guys be doing the English Dub too or is it just purely the japanese version?

I know this project in itself is a massive undertaking, especially for people who are just doing it as a hobby, and I appreciate all the work done here but I just wanted to ask if there were ever plans to do the dub too.

Also for people who have watched both English sub and dub of the first 200 episodes, which one do you think is better?

the sub and it's not even close.

only a handful of english voice actors are even good.

Like a lot of people, I just registered to say thank you. I really enjoy One Pace especially since I'm a One Peace fan since the first hour. The Original Anime was getting harder and harder to watch, so I stared reading the manga, then I discovered One Pace and I switched back to the Anime and that maybe also my only nitpick.

The first time I noticed it was with the Whole Cake Island Arc, but it’s especially clear in the Wano Arc. The Openings are containing HUGE I mean excessively big Spoilers for the arc. I know that’s not that easy to Cut everything out, that might be Spoiler related and where should you draw the line? In my case it would be okay to leave new characters which will be introduced in the Arc. But for example, Kaidos devil fruit or Sanjis Raid Suit, its shame that, at least for me, that I already know that.

Would it be possible to have at least chapters integrated in the episode or have the openings and the episodes split? Kind of like HI10 Anime does it, where there are openings that you can watch separately, but if the opening file is present, it will be automatically integrated in the playlist and it will be played before the episode, as well integrated with chapters. That would at least save some bandwidth, and on the other side it would help people like me, which don’t want to be spoiled have the option to skip the openings. But then there is the problem of how to integrate something like that into your streaming site. Of course, I would much prefer to have a spoiler free opening, but as stated before, I can imagine that it would be really hard to have a nice opening which cuts spoilers out. Anyway thank you so much for One Pace and I’m looking forward to the future of more episodes and the one pace project. Have a nice day 

That's pretty much how all anime is, you pretty much need to wait until the last few episodes of an arc to watch them to not get spoiled.

ordered chapters is an mkv thing and i've never seen any streaming site do anything close to similar.

Despite it being less conviniet, maybe they should consider that download only option if the streaming interfares with the release schedule, I don't think anybody would have a problem to sacrifise it in order to maintain steady availability to the site.

Speaking of which, I wonder how Toei would act if they found out about the existence of a superior version of their show that's distributed online with no charge.

not much different than if they found someone hosting the regular episodes. They'll dmca it and move on.

Sure it's vastly superior, but 99% of people who watch one piece likely don't even know it exists so there's no real incentive to do anything about it.

I don't know how long a current OP episode is but DBS episodes were about 17 and a half minutes by the ToP if you included the recap, the opening, and the ending.

Hopefully OP can cut down a little too.

that's about what w7/EL was at too, they had a 2 1/2 minute opening song, then another 30 seconds of gold rodger talking, plus 2-3 minutes of recap.

I started watching One Piece when it aired on Cartoon Network and It hooked me not just because it was an anime and but because I was a dumb Naru-tard that didn't know where to find anime that wasn't on CN. lol
Please don't hold my terrible childhood tastes against me I've grown I swear.
But back to my train of thought while Bleach had style and good action it lacked charm, and while Naruto had moments of great action (looking at you Rock Lee ;) ) and some genuinely heart-wrenching moments (looking at you Haku ;_; ) it was held down by too much of "THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP CONQUERS ALL!" that made it chore to sit through partway through Shippuden.
But One piece had it all lovable characters, a universe dense with detail, great stories, heartwarming and heart-crushing scenes, grand action, the coolest and weirdest powers that I've seen, and not even the living nightmare of the Dub that shall not be named could keep it down, but the pace did.
I loved One Piece but I couldn't help but feel I was wasting so much of my time on how it was structured. It became a chore to manually skip the opening, recap and watching too many seconds of stares… THIS ISN'T TWILIGHT!
I eventually dropped all three of the Big 3 after watching them off and on for a while and didn't plan to go back given the way shows like Overlord, My Hero Academia, Konosuba, and others are released on a yearly basis that doesn't waste your time, keep a good standard of animation and are able to deliver a satisfying season finale that appropriately leaves you wanting more.
Now finally my point, You magnificent people of the One Pace team have given me back the passion to continue the series, Thank you so much!

Don't really see a reason for discord taking up so much space, i recommend adding latest episodes (maybe the last 5-10 you've done) and also what's being worked on in a box above it.

"Episode file names".

For example, "Dressrosa 01" becomes [One Pace] Chapter 700-701, which is more akin to how the actual anime does it. It's not "One Piece Dressrosa Arc Episode xxx, it's One Piece Episode xxx.

We also want to be able to edit and release the newest Toei episodes, while also releasing the backlog. With the new naming system, we're able to do that, and don't have to "guess" what Arc Episode # it is.

how does the old naming prevent you from doing it?

The point of the new naming system is so that episode file names aren't tied to arcs. People are free to put the files in any renamed directory they please, whether it be a saga, a different arc name, or whatever else.

The benefit for the team, is that we can edit the newest episode without worrying "Oh, is this [Arc] Episode #10? Or is it [Arc] Episode #9?" Even if we pinpoint it down, it could change later once we catch up to the backlog, depending on if we have to make any 3 chapter paced episodes because of Toei.

Arc batches will still release and have all the chapters bundled into folders, and the site still indicates which arc is which, but it doesn't make sense for the old file names to exist anymore if we're trying to do the above.

the entire one piece series can be separated into arcs.

Guys you are heroes! The anime is so much better when watching One Pace. In my opinion you should focus more on the new arc, the old arcs are pretty good and are not far from the manga. The new ones in contrast are horrible and the episodes have way too much filler moments in them.
Love your work, keep it up!

i believe they have to wait for the OST to be released to do new ones.
