@theinvisibleworm:
Assuming Zero Chan is correct, Lucci was either three years old when he did this, or he's currently 28 (Assuming he was thirteen), pinning him at around Robin's age.
…Three? Where'd did you get that he would be around Luffy's age?
I doubt he landed the cp9 slot as a direct result of that incident, that's probably when they started paying attention to him though. It was a messy mission, not something demonstrating the type of caliber needed for cp9, which is a secret group of assassins.
I would think they started paying attention to him before sending him on killing sprees involving hundreds of armed people and a pirate fleet. I can't even see Calipha walking into that scenario and leaving no survivors as she is now.
In other words, I really doubt raw killing power alone demonstrates competence for the cp9. You need to demonstrate that you can kill individuals without anyone knowing you did so, and you need to demonstrate a rather strong conviction with regards to the world government's form of justice.
Seeing as how his undercover W7 name was the same as his actual name, I would guess no one outside the gov't knew.
And you know? He still hasn't changed. He hasn't shown any more loyalty to the gov't now than he did back then. Still driven by bloodlust. In fact, Oda had a scene to demonstrate that, openly telling his supervisor. His unofficial nickname is the unstoppable killing machine, so I doubt anyone else would think otherwise.
The va mentioned it to the marine to point out the raw killing power that Lucci has, he then mentioned his early entrance into cp9 to demonstrate his competency when it comes to accomplishing missions.
As far as we know, that was the only mission he completed, and it was done with competence. Infiltrating, massacaring hundreds….
Kind of like how when you mention a famous composer who wrote his first sonata at three years old, and was admitted to some famous music school at the age of 10. It's two seperate amazing things, to illustrate just how amazing the person is.
No other age was mentioned to seperate it. The VA said 15 years ago, and mentioned Lucci's age at 13. He mentioned them seperately, but didn't put any time in between them. It wasn't "years later" or even months or anything.
The vice admiral would have called his wounds, well, wounds, had they not been healed. I'm sorry, but several bullet wounds to the back don't heal in two weeks.
If Luffy were to take his shirt off, he would be clear of the scars or developing scars left from all of those insane fights. Zoro was nearly gutted by Daz, but still only has his chest scar. And so on…so we can't really deep into that kinda thing.
How old is Lucci currently? And by the way, I'm not arguing that he has a connection with nami.
Yeah, my life took a turn for the better after I disregarded the implication that he could have been connected to Nami. But the only indication are the numbers put out by the VA, which leads us to believe a very seeming 28.
