So was I correct about that assessment, about the Sandcastle Pokemon, if hit by a Water-type movie, loses it's Ground-type and becomes pure Ghost-type? I heard people on Neogaf and Reddit talking about that. Or is that just hearsay right now?

@DIO:
Ok…
As I said before
If a Alolan Form Legendary doesn't happen, whatever...
I apologise I must have missed you saying it.
I am not going to act like a bratty 5 year old who didn't get the toy he wanted
Hey now I wasn't trying to be malicious or anything ._.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Now I fucking love the sand castle pokemon xD
-
@Mr.:
Aloa Marowak is pretty sick, it's a physical Chandlure. That in itself is incredible!
Physical ghost type moves are pretty bad. Hope GF adds some nice moves this gen.
-
Also, that sand castle pokemon looks really neat, I bet is going to have a creepy dex entry that involves children.
Well the shovel's supposed to be a lure and the scan shows it dragging a Pikachu under, so…

They should give him a ability that causes bone attacks to become ghost type. Or make them do both ground ghost like flying press.
-
Not sure about Alolan Meowth but I really like the rest.
Alolan Marowak is part ghost? Yeah, I can't be the only one who thought of Lavender town when reading that.

A "sunabaa" is born when a child buries his father in the beach and then forgets about him.
-
People saying that the Sandcastle's dex entry is going to state that it drags people and Pokemon underground, in turn killing them, and creating more of its kind out of their spirits, and to continue the cycle.
-
It is funny because there was a Splatfest involving Sandcastles and Snowmen.
Also, it is stated that Marowak changed types to defend against the local wildlife. Does this means he went to Voodoo?
-
Come on Gamefreak! With Meowth's Alolan form please give us it's Red counterpart in an Alolan Primeape! PLEASE!
My only fear is that the Pokemon we've already seen(like Primeape) won't have Alolan forms.
-
We saw a Meowth in a previous trailer and it still got an Alolan form. Although it must be noted the said Meowth belongs to the mc's mom and we know they moved from Kanto (I suppose they will use Meowth to introduce the Alola forms in game).
Anyways, I am pretty sure the ones we already saw in the wild are not getting Alola forms. That means Caterpie, Zubat, Slowpoke (?), Ledyba, Pichu… the ones we saw in trainer battles are still out there.
-

This sounds great.
Since Alolan Marowak is part Fire, Rock Head will be a very useful ability. He won't have to worry about recoil damage from moves like Flare Blitz.
-
Since we have a dark type Meowth, I wonder if we are getting a dark type or dark/another type persian.
-
Probably yes. It would be really shitty if a Alolan Meowth evolved to a vanilla Persian. I hope that Alolan Persian isn't just a palette swap with meaner eyes.
-
-
I'm glad that there's a horrible sand monster that reproduces through murder that I can tame and pet and feed candy to
game freak knows what I want -
So Marowak in Alola is a fire dancer. Awesome!

There's no Alola Exeggcute, even though there's an Alola Exeggutor. So there's still a chance the other wild pre-evo's evolutions to get new forms.

Has there been any word on how many Alola variation Pokemon there will be?
-
@S.C.:

My guess will be Over 12 but under maybe 20 or 25
-
There were 28 mega evolutions in XY, of which 12 were of gen 1 mons. I guessing we'll get a little more than that since Alola forms don't seem to be intentionally overpowered like megas are.

well also counting the Megas from ORAS, its like 48 Megas in total for Gen 6 related content.
but i am sure Alolan Forms may just be like a Handful of Pokemon with stats altered based on what typing & Ability change they get
so hopefully we only get maybe at max 25 Alolan Forms
-
So let me get this straight. The sand castle pokemon lures prey in by turning itself into a pile of sand with a shovel embedded on it, and once is close enough proceeds to turn into quicksand. Then if hit with a water type move it loses its ground type, so does this mean the ghost reveals what it actually looks like? If so… shudders
-
I'll never look at sandcastles the same way ever again
-
Should make the actual form of the Sandcastle Ghost look like this:
The spoopy sprite for the unknown ghost(s) in Pokemon Red/Blue, since they seem to be pumping so much Gen 1 nostalgia into the game; according to official sources and reveals, and some of the Chinese leakers.

That would seem cool to appear in some form on Sun & Moon
-
Apparently even avoding Serebii, spoilers are going to be hard to dodge thanks to facebook and youtube. Sigh.
New Meowth and Marrowak huh? Dangit, I don't want to make a team of all old monsters… but they're new and different! Bad enough I'm obligated to use Sandslash....
-
So apparently the scanners missed this one yesterday, according to serebii not much info was given besides it's name, and the fact that it attacks using it's insides as a fist(coming out of it's mouth), well this is a weird one.
We alreay have 49 confirme pokemon(not all shown), an it's only August.
-
Sea Cucumber that fights back with a fist.
Deadly and tasty. -
Sea Cucumber that fights back with a fist.
Deadly and tasty.I guess that is one more stuff confirmed from the chinese leak, he said there was a sea cucumber pokemon.
-
So we don't even know that cucumber's type?
If that thing ends up Water/Fighting, I gotta say, that'd be a totally unpredictable (but pretty awesome!) way of consolidating the sea cucumber with a rare typing. -
Well it's not like they can have the cucumber eject its insides out its anus.
Things would be different if Oda were in charge of Game Freak.
-
I don't want to see namiface and proportions jynx, but overall it would be cool to see Pokemon's drawn in oda style.
-

I didn't know it was a sea cucumber or how sea cucumber behave, that is why I said it was weird lol.
-
Redefines Gut-Punch.
Don't worry. I'll see myself out.
-
Well, it's official now. Our chinese insider is the one true legit source. And can't help but think of One-Punchman whenever I read the entry of this little fella. Turning your insides into a fist to punch the hell out of anyone? Badass.
And that means… dolphin pokémon incoming.
-
Only question: will dolphin be pure dark?
-
Could this be a new Alola form or simply a slight palette switch/some white gear?
[hide]Alola Tauros confirmed?
[/hide]
-
That Sea-cucumber pokemon is bunny adorable! Just so cute but it apparently… packs a punch. heh.

It's lighting .
-
It's lighting .
Are you sure lighting can make Tauros' dark mane this light? I don't think it should be as off-white as it is, but maybe I'm reading too much into it.
-
Meh. Namakobushi looks kinda boring to me.
-
@Mr.:

Until it punches you in the gut.

-
I can't believe Serebii got beaten this time.
-
Since the sea cucumber is among the pokémon we already knew, I suppose it will be revealed on the 12th (same day the CoroCoro will be officially released), so we'll know its typing soon.
-
We are finally getting a DOLPHIN pokemon.
-
I'm going with, for the sea cucumber, pure Water-type, then, evolves into Water/Fighting. About time we got another one, a pretty rare typing.
I want to see the snowman Pokemon more than the dolphin, especially since it's rumored to be Ghost/Ice, and I love me some Ghost-types.
-
I would love it if the snowman pokemon had a detachable head, sorta like a Dullahan. Ghost types are supposed to look creepy, right?
-
I'm wondering what the Snowman, heck…even the Sea Cucumbers, abilities are going to be. Are they going to give them something new, like they have been doing so far with Sun & Moon, or just some other ability that already exists.
To be honest, could just give the Snowman the same trait as the Sandcastle, but, instead, when he's hit by a Fire-type move he loses his Ice-typing and just becomes pure Ghost-type.
