@joekido:
1.) Person who hates the dub and everything in it, would intend to watch subs to learn the story. They would attack dubbies who loves the dub. They believe that the original anime would turn a dubbie into a real fan
That sounds like 99.9% of the non-dub fandom. I object to using the term "OPtard" for such an association as we're actually justified in disliking our English dub. Narutards hate the fact that there is a dub at all, let alone how well dubbed it may be.
@joekido:
2.) A person who would try to read the whole story and memorize everthing about it to become a full-flaged fan
Again, while that may be a bit excessive and dips into the otaku sterotype, there's no reason to negatively call someone an "OPtard" for having that sort of mentality.
@joekido:
3.) A person who is extremely hostile to any critizism of One Piece, they would intent to attack people who bashs or flame OP. They would defand OP and never looks at the flaws of the series, they would believe that OP is a perfect story that should be loved by millions. They will attack those who hates it and will try to manipulate them to enjoy it or force them.
Agreed. Most on this forum acknowledge Oda's flaws, though.
@joekido:
4.) A person who believes there is nothing wrong with Oda and his story. They would praise him as a man who contributing a worth fictional prose of thoustand years of philostrphy literature. They would praise him as an olny creative writer, deny the fact that they'er are people far creative then him. They would treat Oda like a all knowledge GOD with a brilliance that can outmatch anyone.
I hate the "Oda is God" comments, but we cannot deny that he is an immensely imaginative person and his manga is the zenith of shounen perfection. He's not the first great, nor is he the last; though I have disappointments about OP, fundamentally there's noting wrong, though it isn't exactly philosophical doctrine.
So…I'm tepid to that comment.
@joekido:
5.) They would treat OP like a religion, they would start calling any characters by an religious name (For example: Luffy=GOD, Usopp=Jesus, Nami=Holy Spirit) They would believe if we respect OP we would have a good life. They would promise to build the "church of Oda", they would worship Oda and have everything covered with OP items. They would forget the fact that Oda is a mare human being who is not perfect.
Yeah. Not sure if people like that exist here, though.
@joekido:
6.) They would refer to use Japanese names and will become close-minded with English names. They would have problems writing English. They refuse to use names like "Zolo" "Gum-Gum" "Boom-Boom" "Naptunian" "Doggie and Bloggie" etc, etc,. They would hate those who use english names.
What differentiates Narutards from genuine people who have English troubles are that they are proud of being stupid, and use their poor English skills as an expression of elitism.
Respecting full English, full Japanese, or a mixture of the terminology isn't wrong in itself. Using a certain schema to promote elitism is.
@joekido:
7.) They will use OP to compare it to other series. They would get jealous to fans of other great stories.
Not to be arrogant, but OP is the best shounen series in the history of manga, so there's no reason for us to be jealous of other "great stories" since OP is the best. Jealousy would only arise from Naruto being more popular in America.
@joekido:
8.) They would only write fanfictions on OP, but if they did other series they will make sure they add in OP comos.
No…
@joekido:
9.) They will always talk about OP and nothing else. They would lament if they can't talk about OP.
Ambivalent.
@joekido:
10.) They would be narrow-minded and stubborn like Narutard.
Signed.
