How does Sanji's relation with the marines play into this final war?
Sanji said at TB that in the end he will give the most trouble to marines, and now we find out marines as enemies of his family even in comics, and this Sora who could be actual person still active in the marines.

Maybe Sanji will "defeat" his dad and his siblings the next chapters. He'll inherit Germa 66 and those guys will become Luffy's allies just like Cabbage and Barto. This way he will be a big threat to the marines.
As to what would make Zoro and Mihawk fight, the final three way war between Blackbeard, the Strawhats and the World Government? Remember Mihawk is still a Shickibukai and he would have to fight Zoro lest he lose his title. Seeing as he took part in the Whitebeard war and didn't half ass it to the point of going after Luffy it looks like it's not something he'd want to lose. Besides he seems like the type to go after Zoro in a battlefield just to test him/ see what providence has in store for him and pure swordsman pride and battle fervor can elevate the stakes from there.

I don't think Shichibukai as a thing will survive for that long.
Besides, there's not much purpose in the institution should WG start mobilizing for world take over.
Even if the Shickibukai are disbanded, the WG might pull out some new organization out of their ass to keep the few pirates they can under their fold.
He likes wine and coffings, that's practicaly a bleach character already!
Yeah i can't really think of a character that is less suitable for a but he has more character type of argument.
I mean Mihawk has fashion sense, and alot of mystery. And a buttload of hype. But personality? Not yet he don't
@Monkey:
What the heck would Zoro and Mihawk be doing fighting at that point in the story.
Pretty sure there would be massive stakes involved that would make the Mihawk duel in bad taste to say the least.–- Update From New Post Merge ---
He was significant after the war. Becoming Zoro's master and setting him up for the final stretch of the story skills wise.
I have no idea what this sentence is saying or even addressing.

I'm curious as to Blackbeard's crew gaining someone with Poneglyph reading abilities. Or maybe one of them already has it.
That exactly what I say. If he does, who fits that profile?
He joined Blackbeard's crew as a swordsman, right before Mihawk changed his personal dynamic with Zoro.
For just that?!
I understand the theory that the Blackbeard crew and Strawhats will have a final showdown and Zoro most likely will fight Shilew, but just because Teach is going to be Luffy's biggest enemy(among pirates) doesn't mean that every strawhat would find their arch rival among Blackbeard crew(that's the vibe i get with this theory)…..
That exactly what I say. If he does, who fits that profile?
Does it have to be the academical reading skills?
I could see the hear the voices of everything angle Roger had being more in play for BB's crew
That exactly what I say. If he does, who fits that profile?
Or Teach also has the power to 'hear' the voice of all things(despite the opposite path he chosen as a 'D').It would add to his enigma greatly.
I really don't like the idea of some 3rd person suddenly revealed as a expert of ancient language.
Both Robin and Oden's circumstances are unique.

lol, same theory proposed in same time.

There's that, Blackbeard would be the likely suspect in this sense. I wonder how far it could take him? I mean, getting his hands on someone like Robin provides him more detail into it after all.
It could be a family secret passed on in BB's specific D branch. Knowledge of reading PG, or some kind of book with translation.

We know he could identify devil fruits, so it does mean he had access to knowledge.

Well on one hand Rayleight did mention that they were no academics and couldn't read shit.
But then we learn that they had that Oden guy with them, who was essentially Robin 2.0.
Sooo i guess it's hard to tell really. They would probably benefit from a historian or linguist of sorts.

I just get the feeling there will be no more dealing with pirates once WG decides to "purify" the world.
Hell, Dofla's mess might not even be the last time one of them Shichibukai makes a complete mess in the world. We have Boa who can change sides pretty fast, Mihawk who just doesn't care, Weevil with his own agenda, Kuma the possible Revolutionary time bomb and… Buggy. You know your organization is fucked when the most trustworthy member is Buggy.

I'd say Kuma is the most trustworthy. Seeing as he's a beep boop programable robot now.

Didn't get the feeling that devil fruit catalogue was something so rare, though.
Zoro is getting really boring lately… except for maybe his random tsundere moments during the Zou arc. :ninja:
His inability to keep his mouth shut during fights is also getting annoying.
Hope he chokes on his mouth sword in the middle of another one liner.
Mihawk was always just 'there' for me. The only noteworthy thing about him is his nice fluffy feather on his hat. Shiliew erm… has a nice jaw. But if Shiliew, a swordsman, kills Mihawk by lets say a dirty trick, I don't think he automatically gets the 'Strongest Swordsman' title. If that's the case, won't Zoro technically be unable to achive his dream even if he beats Shiliew?
If its Zoro vs Shiliew in the end, who is Sanji going to go against? Laffite?
@le:

Burguess. You know, Hand-to-Hand combatants.

Well, as far as WG is concerned, sure. Assuming nobody knows he was best pals with Dragon.
But all of that might have been a part of the plan. It appears Ivankow didn't know about it, but he did spend a lot of time in prison. It's just possible Kuma is waiting for the right time to blow up (figuratively or literally) in WG's face. There's no telling what else he's capable of with his weird ability. Maybe he managed to divide a part of his personality to act when the time comes. He did manage to split injury and fatigue from a person's body. It might not even be his limit.
And then there's Vegapunk. For all we know, he might be with Revolutionaries, or sympathizing with them at least. A scientist that discovered the dark side of WG after seeing how his technology was used, maybe.
@le:

My money is on Vasco Shot.
Powerful level 6r with a drink theme?
Fits pretty well as Sanji's opponent IMO.

The man who beats the man is the man who claims the title.
It's not like there's a jury or judge that can call a foul. The one left standing was stronger.

People sure have a lot of faith in Dragon's ability to plot very complicated plans.
Me personally i think he knew he was screwed and wouldn't be human for long, but his sacrifice was for a purpose.
I don't forsee him being all ha ha i was just pretending to be lobotomized all this time.

Holy smokes. It's Rob, Robs still alive.
But me i'm more of a Lafitte guy. Tap dancing, kicking, it's almost the same.
And both guys can travel in the air

We're bound to find out more about Kuma eventually. Which allows for a possibility of him not remaining good WG robot until the end of story. I wasn't suggesting a complete recovery, just that there's still a human part of him there, waiting…
Or Vega programmed him to use Ursa Shock when he's near Gorosei or to send them all flying to Newkama.
Sanji will fight Burgess after he eats the phoenix fruit of Marco.
You know, Jesus B. eating a fruit that allows him to reborn.
The top 3 BB pirates eating the top 3 WB pirates fruits. Since they replace the WB pirates in all ways.

I doubt Burgess is in the top 5 of the Blackbeard Pirates, let alone top three. A level 6 or whoever the unknown captain is makes more sense as Sanji's opponent than the guy who was beaten again and again by Sabo.

Burgess has the same fleet captain rank as Marco. He is also likely the first mate and the strongest from the original crew of BB.
Sanji also had some small defeats here and there. If Burgess eats marcos fruit, nhone wil complain about his defeats since he will be much better.

Sabo of course being verified to be the second most powerful member of the revolutionaries.
Making him quite literally one of the top 10-12 fighters in the world. And that was before flamin' on.
Also wasn't blue bird the tenth captain? Or was he just an ally. I honestly can't remember.

Unknown. Kinda doubt it. He seems to be too new of an addition to be known as one of 10 captains already.
My money's on Urouge.

Yes, but if Burgess is one of Blackbeard's strongest members, if not the strongest members, then he should also be up there. And based on how easily he was beaten by Sabo, that isn't the case.
It doesn't really make sense for Kuzan to be the tenth. Gatz announced them like it was common knowledge who they were, but Kuzan joining the Blackbeards seems like big earthshattering news that only people with connections like Doflamingo knew about
Kuzan just joined, so maybe all he needs is one good mission to be promoted, its not like he is a rookie developing/acquiring his power.
Holy smokes. It's Rob, Robs still alive.
Indeed I am, that welcome warms my heart, Wolfy.
But me i'm more of a Lafitte guy. Tap dancing, kicking, it's almost the same.

Hmm, I've got Lafitte down as Nami's opponent, personally.
Both Navigators, both slight and probably rely on brains rather than brawn to win their battles.
Lafitte flying through the air while Nami controls the elements to attack him just seems too cool to pass up.
Nami used Thunderbolt…it was super effective!
It's a good thing for Nami that bird types are weak against electric attacks.

It's atleast nice that five of the eleven guys match up along obvious lines. It's weird to imagine the match-ups for some, just visually. Like Sunkist and the big drunk guy. But then again i didn't expect Sunkist and Goombah to beat up a gigant either.
So i guess some times there are just crack match-ups.
I'd say Kuma is the most trustworthy. Seeing as he's a beep boop programable robot now.
Kuma's loyalty could change again with the switch of a button. It is all up to Vegapunk now.

Robin big Lilith like giant of body parts, docked with the sunny in the middle of the stomach vs San Juan Wolf
Won't take anything else.
Too bad BB didn t bother to get any leg fighters in his crew. Oh well, who would be crazy enough to count only on his legs in battle when everyone uses all they can to win, like DF, weapons, guns.
Also, who doesn t want to see Blue flames vs Red flames. As in phoenix burgess vs sanji.
Also, Sanji should have a friendly battle with JImbe to see who is number 2 in the crew. Fire vs water! Also they can have both underwater battle and land battle.

Also i doubt Burgess is anywhere close to M3 of the BB's

How do you know there aren't any leg fighters? It's not like we've seen them fight properly. Most of the crew was just shown shooting guns.

One could phrase that as nobody looks like a leg fighter.
Othet than Lafitte and Auger it's a pretty stocky bunch
They dont all have to be clones like shiryuu / zoro. That lad doesnt have to manipulate the weather, sanji's opponent doesnt have to be a kicker and brooks opponent doesnt have to be a musician

Either way, Sanji is pretty specific, considering his reason not to fight with hands. I doubt there's any BB pirate who only fights with kicks, but I don't doubt there are at least a couple who are good enough with legs to pose a threat to Sanji.
Who knows, maybe Devon is the one time where Sanji will have to make an exception. :ninja:
I would say they have to be in a similar zone, fighting style.
Like even BB fights with his fists just like Luffy. Imagine if Luffy would get stuck with someone like CC, fighting style. Same for Sanji.
Wonder who's the ship cook in Blackbeards crew?
Maybe the doc pulls double duty as the healing cook lol

Among all the BB-members Vasco Shot gives me the most "cooking-vibes".
His quirk could be that he messes up every meal by adding vast amounts of liquor (or alcohol, but that stuff vaporizes pretty quickly when it is pure).
I also imagine Vasco as some Kind of drunken Monk master. A Fitting fighting-style for a Sanji-Opponent.
Doc Q IMO could have a disease-related DF (gives you any disease by simply touching you).
Yeah, those are my thoughts regardin the BBs.

Bon Clay is just about the only kicker Sanji has fought one on one. Out of all the others, only Kalifa and Vergo were good kickers. And even Bon Clay uses arms I think.
I like Brook vs Lafitte…ya know Cane vs Cane and such
Guess Burgess, being a martial artist of sorts, is as close to a match we get.
He's fought fish karate, okama kenpo, noodle fighting and the six forms.
So why not wrestling. Or whatever the hell it is that Burgess practices

Drunken Monk, man!

Wrestling fits more with Franky IMHO.
@ArmamentHero
Brook VS. Laffite is pretty solid, not just because of their canes. One's a musician, the other is a dancer. One can fly, the other is as light as bones. And both have some Kind of psychic powers (Laffite hypnotized the marines at the GoJ and Brook "hypnotized" those fishmen at Gyoncorde Plaza.

That s why I said similar zone, if not leg fighter then at least physical fighter, and not some logia that spams gas or something and has no real close combat strength.
Franky doesn't wrestle as much as he uses equipment.
He's a cinch for San Juan. Gigant mecha Franky
