I just flew back from Europe the other day and they had all of GoT season 4 as part of their TV selection. I even watched an episode to fill the gap left after the other 3 movies I watched.

First Poster Art revealed
!
-
Jon always comes back.
-
Jon left ?
-
! It seems he was seen fighting wearing the stark armor against the boltons
-
-
! No shit, he wasn't dead lol
-
First teaser trailer is up and as far as I can tell contains literally no new shots from the upcoming seasons

Well we can pretty much confirm the return of Jon Snow and Brandon Stark (if nobody has guessed that yet) but the teaser seems to be just hype as expected
-
This post is deleted!
-
There are a lot of stupid theories, but I'm guessing it was a typo.
-
New teaser.
I am not sure if the pattern here is that they are just showing dead people along with people who will die or maybe some other common thing between all of them. Perhaps they are symbolizing an end to their "identities" rather than their physical selfs which would make more sense in the case of Jon Snow but not sure how that would be apt for the others
-
New teaser is cool, but once again no new footage. I guess outpacing the books has the producers looking to keep everyone in more suspense.
Or this season will be awful and they're trying to hide it for as long as possible.
-
New Game of Thrones trailer:
Kit did say he filmed some scenes being dead. That much is true.
-
Oh he is so coming back. xD
Also did anyone see those tower of joy battle glimpses, a flashback incoming?
-
So when does it start? Isn't it this week?
-
24th it comes back
-
Why the fork is the book (winds of winter) so slow? Dance of Dragons was out in 2011 if not mistaken. Storm of Swords came out a year after Clash of Kings come on grrm.
I am just whining don't mind me -
Let's put it this way the first book came out in 1996….it's been 20 years and he's still not done. We think Oda takes forever....
-
Grrm once said that he understands the pain. He wrote about the agony of waiting for Return of the King (in dreamsongs). You waited only one year, grrm. ONLY ONE YEAR.
Winds of Winter better be good. -
I'm actually worried for the show. My least favorite parts tend to be scenes, events etc that weren't in the books, or were significantly altered. Except Jon fighting those dead people. That was great. Jamie's quest was tedious. Hopefully this season he'll do more of what he actually does in the book.
How much actually dialogue and concrete plot threads they've received from Martin I don't know, so it'll be interesting to see.
-
I found season 5 to be quite underwhelming… I hope this season will better than Season 5.
-
Trailer 2 is here
! 1. Theon gets caught again loll
2. The mountain wrecks havoc and Jaime is pissed
3. New priestess
4. Sansa plotting against the Freys?!
! And that last Dragon-Tyrion scene, could it be… -
So yeah….that happened.
I need a shower.
-
"I'd like to see more of the Sand Snakes" said no one ever.
-
Okay, beautiful women are in the top five things that are best in life.
-
I feel like this entire episode was like, "Let's make a bunch of great scenes… but then let's fuck Dorne up beyond any repair!"
That entire segment was a black hole of awful, oh my god. The rest was fine.
-
"These aren't the boobs you're looking for"
Episode wasn't great, but aside from the derailed train from Inception known as Dorne it was passable.
-
The only thing making Dorne in any way bearable in the books was Doran's scheme, which they cut, so it leaves itself as Cringe Central.
-
I don't think the death of any character hurt me as much as the way the butchered Dorne. Tragic.
I liked the rest though.
Except Olly. I really want him to die painfully in a way he doesn't see coming.
-
Oh yeah when i was rewatching old episodes i wished the Thenn leader would've slit his throat. It truly seems like Jon snow is dead, it's a shame really. His character had alot of potential, hope the red woman has a way to bring him back.
I though the Dorne coup was handled fine, i don't read the books but did Doran had a larger role in them?
oh and Doran's son was a freaking idiot, as soon as i saw him give his back to the girl i knew he was a hopeless character. -
Episode ranged from okay to awful (Dorne). So it gets a final mark of MEDIOCRE.
-
Dr. Bashir went down way too easily for my liking.
-
Dammit, Jon Snow isn't revived this episode. But Davos is set to meet Lyanna Mormont (the 'wretched girl' who refused Stannis) this season, so he'll definitely survive this ordeal on the Jon Snow room. I wish he'll be revive on the nightfall Alliser Thorne gave them.
-
They actually improved Doran by cutting his dumbass scheme from the books, welp now that's gone.
RIP Camera That Rides, tho.
-
That was quick change of opinion from you earlier post. What was his scheme exactly? because he seemed like a peaceful ruler here (almost naive)
I would look it up but i don't want to run into spoilers. -

I would look it up but i don't want to run into spoilers.I thought the same, then I remembered there's no more book spoilers at this point.
-
I was genuinely expecting them to never visit Dorne again.
-

I would look it up but i don't want to run into spoilers.book spoiler, safe to read if you only care about the show since this won't ever appear on it
! in the books doran has been plotting to put a targaryen in the throne ever since his sister Elia was murdered. He planned to marry his eldest daughter Arianne to Viserys. When Khal Drogo killed Viserys the plan changed, his eldest son Quentyn now has the mission to marry Daenerys Targaryen and put her on the iron throne.
! Ellaria doesn't want to have anything to do with revenge, the sand snakes support wholeheartedly doran after this scheme is revealed. Myrcella is still alive although she lost one ear because stuff. Trystane is alive aswell, he is the second son though. -
book stuff
! Doran's son in the book was the blue haired kiddo?
-
Jon's blood pattern:
!
I wouldn't have noticed it hadn't Davos looked at it so long.

What is that btw? I can't seem to make it out
I am genuinely interested over how Tyrion is going to solve the Meereen problem. I miss his second season hand of the king antics.
! Well apparently, they have screwed up the Dorne plot but wasn't it sorta crappy from the start? We have seen very little of the Dorne kingdom and its subjects. Add to that a bunch of crappy fights and bad ending from last season, this start seems to be just a continuation of the misery. Perhaps they will try to push them more into action but the characters just seem so binary…
! Btw where the heck was Bronn in that ship when the prince got attacked?!Sent from my XT1068 using Tapatalk
-
it vaguely looks like a direwolf? im not sure.
about the dorne coup, something i found stupid was the way how all the other soldiers stood still and basically just watched their king, his guard and the messenger get killed like it's a normal occurrence. you had one job you fools… -
@xan:
What is that btw? I can't seem to make it out
Looks like dragon wings to me, but that may also be because that's what I'm expecting to see. There's a reason Davos looked at it so long. He the shape too.
-
Finally!
-Come on Jonny! I don't really care about Alistar, the one who deserves to die badly is Olly! I have high hopes for Davos Bluebeard. And Sandra..
-Arya got her ass kicked, but soon it will be the other way around
-Dorne still like last year…huge crap. It seems like the wanted to wrap it up as fast as possible (without explaining anything) just to take it out of the story...
-Dany lol, thinking she was gonna swoop in like a queen...still lucky though, she found the dumbest of the dothraki. And soon Daario and Joorah will arrive
-Jaime and Cersei well, surprisingly shallow...
-Brienne finally did something useful after ages of nothing. Sansa's got a "fanbase" now, and I feel there will be more -
To the ones, who've seen the new episode, regarding Stannis:
! Was there any new Infos? Was the deathstrike shown? Or anything hintinh, that Brienne has killes him?
-
Thinking it through, it's not surprising that the show amputated Dorne as it did. Dorne is involved in two plots, Quentyn's and Griff's, that have apparently been abandoned by the show, meaning that Doran really has nothing to be plotting for. The alternatives would be him attempting to form an alliance through Trystane marrying Sansa (that ship has obviously sailed), marrying Arya (presumed dead), or marrying Yardrat or whatever Asha's name is in the show. I suppose Quentyn could still show up to talk to Tyrion, or that Doran might have had plans to marry Trystane to Dany via messengers, but as far as his original book plans went there's not a lot to go on. Really, it's the show's own fault for excluding Arianne, who woild have given them more options. It'd be nice if Doran actually did have something planned and the Sand Snakes to realize they fucked up, but I'd just as soon settle for them getting eaten alive by a rabid pack of weasels.
I guess there's still the option for some Dornish Citadel shenanigans if Sam ever gets there.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Also I want to start a fake SJW rage movement decrying Benioff and Weiss as ableist pricks. Reduced number of appearances of characters with mental disorders, no Wyman Manderly, no Willas Tyrell, Doran Martell can actually sort of walk and then gets killed anyway, Arya gets beat up, and Bran disappears for a whole season! How dare they!
-
Dr. Bashir went down way too easily for my liking.
Beat me to it.
If they just showed the snakes doing their stuff in westeros, like they will do in the future episodes, I would've just assumed that he lives happily ever after in the palace. But noooo…
-
I guess the martells were culled by political reasons more than vengance, if not the SS are supremly stupid.
