Deko is actually quite cute.
Katsuko ain't bad either.

Seconding everyone who wants Genderbent All Might. And fem!Deku looks like she'd be in a rom-com shoujo :3
wtf at fem!Lida as always though
Female Bakugou looks no different lol. Are we sure this is gender bent and not just cross dress?

Well on my own end:
Fem!Baku - Eyes look less dark/violent, actually edges around those and the teeth are generally less thick than for normal Baku
Fem!Deku - Hair seems less scruffy (I spent ten second comparing this pic and madriano's avvie, seriously) - looks slightly curvier. Also she looks less dopey and more cute.
Male!Tooru - emo
Idaho looks like a righteous girl.
Froppyboy still has the original's charm.

She does look exactly like I would expect Bakugou's mom to look.

Female Izuku is literally Mina Ashido with a normal color scheme and his (her?) mother's eyes.

I might be wrong but I seem to recall Ashido doing a similar pose on a Color Spread (or it might have been one of those twitter sketches)
Horikoshi actually commented how similar Mina's hair is to Deku's in one of the volume special pages, so he's aware
Like Ida wasn't hot enough already.

! And we have ourselves our third Oumagadoki Zoo-cameo!
! OMFG it's Sakamata!! The gangster orca from Oumaga!!
! Fuck yeah, Orca!
! There are two places… So who is raiding the right one and who is gonna find the Nomu factory?
You know something that I just thought? Every since I watched the first episode and read the last chapter I thought of something like this. Who did Bakugou inherit his quirk from? Children inherit their quirks from either their mom, dad, or both (Todoroki). It could be that Bakugou inherited his quirk from his mother but we know absolutely nothing about bakugou's dad. It could be that his dad was villain. It would make sense since Bakugou has a almost villain like personality and his quirk could cause massive destruction in a city.
Dad's quirk was sweating tons of flamable substance.
Mom's quirk was sparks.

@Asta&Deku:
When was this stated?
I think he was joking.
Personally, I like the idea that a UA student has a villain for a parent. Could be what drives them to Heroism. Bakugo is a likely choice, depending on who he got his belligerence from
! I'm happy to see Sakamata! I think I missed one cameo… Sakamata, Uwabami and...?

! There was a translation that I read but I'll just summarize it. The media pressure eraserhead with a bunch of questions like what if Bakugou goes villain or something. Bakugou tries to work his way out of this situation while shiragaki ask for All for One's assistance. Deku and the others arrive at a location where the transmitter was signaling. The pros are split into two teams. All Might's team arrives at where his police friend told him where he saw dabi. Best Jeanist's team arrive at the location where the transmitter was signaling too. It turns out there we're several locations where momo's tracker was signaling too.

Aoi appeared in chapter 1 (with the circus boy whose name I forgot).
Don't forget Toytoy!

New chapter
Oh Shigaraki Kitamura… never change slangstream, so at least we will always know what is a bad translation.
I'm guessing that the heroes are going into an explosion trap? Maybe somehow the villains could make it seem as though Bakugo was behind it and turn the public against him. I hope AfO doesn't have some shitty mind control power that brainwashes Bakugo.
There's the nemu factory and the Nemufication process. They kind of need Bakugo as he is for the plan to work, but if they chose to abandon him, he'd make an excelent Nemu.

well thgat does indeed seems to be the case..i can't really see any other way that all for one might help in that situation
only other possibility is that he is asking for his help to gain the time he just said they don't have…but if the translation is correct it indeed seems that it's askil afo to help him control bakugou
Well, that was another good set-up chapter.
If Bakugou does turn evil it is not out of his own will, but either through brainwashing or manipulation.
Something I forgot to mention last time. But is Iida dressed as Dudley? Lol.
Overall a good chapter.
Who else thought of OnePunch Man Opening after the last panel?
Well, that was another good set-up chapter.
If Bakugou does turn evil it is not out of his own will, but either through brainwashing or manipulation.
Easiest way to do it via manipulation, assuming AFO knows about it, is to spill the beans on Deku being All Might's hand-picked successor and inheritor. For Bakugo, winning is everything, and finding out the man whose victories he admired above all else chose Deku to be his next in line would almost be the ultimate loss in his mind.
If the villains simply plan to brainwash Bakugou why choose him in the first place?
They could brainwash Deku or any other student close to him if they want to reach All Might. But they want to prove a point with Bakugou.

We still don't know if they have brainwashing powers, but if they do have some ace in the hole like it, then I imagine they don't use it because they're fighting an ideological battle, so ideological victories have the most impact. Their cause is way more advanced by tempting another student than just brainwashing them. If anything, forcing anyone to side with them through brainwashing, extortion or some other means would cheapen the power in their message.

They chose him because out of all the people he has a villain type personality. They aren't gonna turn him into a noumu because his is a important piece. If anything they are going to brainwash him so it could leave a huge crack in the hero society
You dont need to brainwash a kid who is so full of himself that the first thing he thinks in this situation is "OMG, the hero asociation really cares about me, I'm so important!" you just have to push him a little.

It's not that he was full of himself. Its that he was looking at the situation like "This villains want me to join them so I know that they aren't going to hurt me". He knew his position there. Sure you could push him or torture him but the way I see it Bakugou has some strong conviction. I don't think even if you torture him his not going to change so there only option left is to brainwash.

He is perfectly aware that they're trying to push him, though. That's the thing. He is smart enough to see and avoid the bait.
His reason was not the bolded at all. It was more like "they know me so well!".
If the villains simply plan to brainwash Bakugou why choose him in the first place?
That would be more of a Plan B (whatever that ends up being). Plan A was convincing him through ideology.
They simply misread Bakugou's character. Aizawa says it as such.

His comment had nithing to do with being full of himself. It was a simple analysis of the situation that Deku could do in the same situation.
Aren't they just going to remove his quirk? (AFO getting involved). It'd make him helpless for a while, and then he could get it back after he's been humbled a bit. Break his spirit. Teach him what it's like to be Deku.
I like that. Much better than him changing sides, which I'd find out of character.
I thought I was in the wrong manga for a moment because SAKAMATA!!! It's like OD is still alive through this, and I'm sososo happy for that! Outside of that, I don't think Kamui Woods should be standing so close to Endeavor… :ninja:

That wouldn't be necessary. AFO could simply chat him up to open up about himself a little, then after analyzing his over-inflated ego, he'd simply go in for the literal bomb-dropping.
Just watched Episode 2.
I think the deliberate pacing was more noticeable than in the first episode, to the point where I thought it dragged a bit right before Midoriya leapt into action. I also noticed that they changed a line, with Deku skipping over what quip he might have thrown out, but I'm fine with how it was. On the plus side, I noticed how fantastic the music in this series is. I'm not a big fan of All Might's theme- it doesn't seem quite… bombastic...enough- but everything else is jazzy, emotional, kickass, and everything in between. Overall, another strong, beautiful episode and faithful adaptation.
Looks like next episode will cover Chapter 2 and half of Chapter 3. I'm betting it will end right as the exam starts.
Watched episode 2. Yeah, the first half definitely dragged, but the second half, particularly the conclusion was really well done. The build-up Deku springing into action also definitely gave me serious Shounen Filler flashbacks. How many times did All Might say he was pathetic, again?
I noticed they didn't have Izuku say "fake muscle?" lol
It's gotta be said, the anime is a beautiful emotional thing. Hopefully, the pacing will improve before it becomes a problem.
I really love the music. Opening and overall sound track really set the mood.

Yeah, the recap also gave me flashbacks - "Oh, yeah, I remember watching the One Piece anime."

I don't agree, I can think of a ton of scenes in episode one I'd cut short but in this episode I felt the anime hit it's stride, I'd only cut out some of the flashbacks.
Was near perfect for me.
