Thanks for the noms, folks! There are lots of cool folks up for the same categories I am who contributed way more than me this year, though, so you should definitely support them!

I'm pretty sure I mostly stayed in the background fending off an army of spambots trying desperately to sell you timeshares. Seriously, you should se some of these things. Spambot of the year was definitely this dude posting in arabic about some sort of mystery sheikh. From what I could pick out of google translate, I think he claimed he could cure cancer with the force of his magical spirit powers? This was the accompanying image (un-doctored):

So I'm sorry if it turns out I actually screwed up our chance to cure cancer, because looking back this guy seems legit. Have you seen his aura?

I think Decemberists should be eligible for next year awards.
They usually don´t have enough time to show themselves and win a nomination.

I'll throw in my thanks to those who nominated me (and shout outs to Space Cowboy for last year, which I didn't know about until this year). Looking at the competition, it's going to be an uphill battle for me.

On another note, it's going to be really hard for me to vote. I have high respect for pretty much everyone on this forum, and I feel bad having to make one vote when everyone on the list is awesome in their own way.

I know there going to be some "fixed/expected" noms for the "Best Resercher" because there a lot of guys good on this so I make something new and choise Australopithecus because he's doing a good job for almost every post even if he make mistakes.

There also alot od expected on the other categories that everytime I've come to vote somebody was already done it before
