Anyone of the opinion that Jotaro became way more of an interesting character after Stardust Crusaders?
In "Diamond Is Unbreakable" and especially "Stone Ocean". He looses the "delinquent" attitude that he had as the MC in part 3 (justified by the fact that he's far older in later parts). But he still keeps the distant stoic attitude. When Stone Ocean comes around though we get details that make everything about him before way more interesting. That being he's the type of person that's more comfortable hiding behind a stoic face; because he feels like he needs to for the sake of others and because she doesn't know how to really deal with those feelings or talk to other people as well.
In short; he's a socially awkward, inclusive geek (with obsessive fascinations like marine biology or Columbo) who doesn't have a clue about how to talk to people. All while being a genuine badass at the same time who genuinely cares, maybe even a bit too much. A sofie who can be as hard as a rock when he needs to be; which he thinks is all the time.
His relationship with Jolyne is directly related to this, as well as his own upbringing. Not only has he negatively impacted their own relationship by pushing her away (because he thought he needed to) but he may not even have been fully aware how much given how his own dad was barely present. The way that the two reconcile in Stone Ocean has always been one of my favorite things about part 6.
All of that is why any fan comics or fanart with Jotaro and lil' Jolyne are some of my favorite Jojo things.
