Does anyone knows if Bull and Cow has the same spelling in japanese?
Yes, they have. A bull is 'oushi' and female cow is 'meushi'.

The problem I have with that idea is that Doffy is for sure a 100% nobleman bloodline. His parent might excluded but his son became one of the biggest outlaws of his era, one of the fiercest fighter of the seas, probably one of richest people in the OP world, he's directly under the WG (with Shichibukai title for decoration) and knows the biggest secrets in the world. He would have an 'only alive' poster as well before joining the Shichibukai's line?
No, because there was no one to claim DoFlamingo. Nor a kingdom needing him, no nothing. They could very well kill him and no one would care anymore.
Being a former noble by itself doesn't mean much if that person is a criminal, and that's not what the theory is based on.
Not to mention Kizaru who must know the biggest secrets out there being the Navy's Admiral and not capturing him at Sabaody's? He could do that without blinking an eye. I would say that him being close to Ivankov made him so much wanted to be captured alive than anything else.
That doesn't mean Kizaru would recognize Sanji. It just needs that someone, somewhere, recognized him now after his face was caught in action.
If anything, the Ivankov theory is the one that makes the least sense to me. Why would they care Sanji came in contact with Ivankov but not that Robin was with freaking Dragon himself? Besides, it's probably not that unusual for other criminals to make close contact with Revolutionaries. Impel Down was full of people under Iva's wing. Then, "Only Alive" bounties should be at least kind of common, not an anomaly like their reactions make it sound.
I think Robin's whole situation is proof that special knowledge isn't enough, one needs to be useful for the WG - or an important someone else - to avoid a "dead or alive" bounty.
@.access:
Not compared to her Cook Cook Fruit, Shop Shop Fruit or the YouWereRapedBecauseYouWearShortSkirts YouWereRapedBecauseYouWearShortSkirts no Mi.
(saddly enough, I can see the first two actually becoming real DF for female characters at some point)
Nothing comes close to Tsuru's Woshu Woshu no mi.
Sorry if already said:
It's possible that the WG is aware of Sanji's connection to Ivankov and thus the revolutionaries. Robin is a huge threat, so dead is just fine, but they might want Sanji to get information out of him.
@Miss:
I hope the new Admiral is an older woman based on some famous Japanese actress.
And whoever the new Shichibukai is, he sure does look a lot like Shiki from behind..
Well, there's this picture Oda drew in volume 70, featuring Toshiro Mifune with horns. Maybe it was just a tease, though.
!
However, there is one move where Mifune has a longer hair, called Red Lion.
!
I don't know, there might be something there.

Any connection Sanji might have with the revolutionaries will be pretty loose. Robin spent 2 years with them, so by your logic, she's the one who should be wanted alive.

Robin was with them for 2 years…....
I'm thinking a boat for the dwarves, yes. But maybe not with that name lol
I wonder how small it's going to be. Though the crew does have about 200 members IIRC.

I wonder that too. My thoughts are its going to be a regular sized boat with custom things on it to accomodate that the crew is full of people so small. The reason is simple: to survive the New World's waters. A super tiny boat would just get destroyed or eaten or something.

But the marines doesn't know that Robin spent two years with the Revolutionaries. While Sanji was shown being protected by a bunch of okamas at SA. Finding out Ivan's whereabouts or hideout, is a plus for the WG.

In that case they better get Robin alive instead of Sanji, since Robin actually have stayed with Dragon the head of revolutionaries himself, while Sanji just trained with Ivankov one of the revo who were locked up in impel down for years.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
But the marines doesn't know that Robin spent two years with the Revolutionaries. While Sanji was shown being protected by a bunch of okamas at SA. Finding out Ivan's whereabouts or hideout, is a plus for the WG.
Having okama's protecting him does not mean they are linked to Ivankov actually, not all the okama's are linked to Ivan so it doesn't sound like it might be about this.
While Sanji was shown being protected by a bunch of okamas at SA.
When was that? They attacked a bunch of Marine soldiers, but they were not with Sanji. The only time was when he landed there.
It just makes no sense to me that someone who was with a Revolutionary would be needed alive, while there are hundreds of people out there connected to them too, or are Revolutionaries themselves, and still get "dead or alive" bounties. The fact is that we never seen evidence of the WG opening an exception just to extract information from someone.
Robin was with them for 2 years…....
It would be better for them if she would be dead as she could share the informations they already have and they would not get anything they don't know from her I suppose. There are only a handful of people out there who would even care and be able to capture him alive at the same time. It would be logical that if they would like him to be captured so badly they would send Navy Admiral, Blackbeard or Doffy (of course for something in exchange when it comes to him) after him.
If anything, the Ivankov theory is the one that makes the least sense to me. Why would they care Sanji came in contact with Ivankov but not that Robin was with freaking Dragon himself? Actually, it's unlikely the WG was aware where both were at all, especially Sanji, otherwise he'd known where Robin was. That's why it doesn't make sense for the WG to seek him because of Ivankov.

Yeah, i believe they have no idea where Sanji and Robin were. By "special knowledge" i was thinking about Ohara, whether they know about her Dragon connection or not, the WG doesn't seem to care if people who know too much (and nothing else) are killed.
while Sanji just trained with Ivankov one of the revo who were locked up in impel down for years.
This is another great point that i can't believe i forgot to mention. They had Ivankov (and Inazuma) locked up for God knows how long but never bothered extracting any kind of information, as far as we know. And they knew who Iva was. So why bother with Sanji now?
That theory makes less and less sense the more i think about it.
Chapters like these are definitely the ones that I enjoy the most.Mistery, new revelations, funny scenes…it has everything that I like the most about One Piece in one single pack.
An outstanding chapter,indeed.
P.S.Why the hell the marines gave Dofla a new pair of glasses?
I shouldn't do it …but... I am laughing at you
Actually I'm a tad bit sad now that I missed it. I'd love to see you argue with some (who am I kidding? all of them) of the lame-ass theories there. Both King Canon and you can put forth good arguments against idiotic posts .. and make snippy comments as you do so.
That could be entertaining enough to wade through the cesspit .... or not.......
On a different note=
Luffy finally joins in the group that have statues, so there are now56 characters in OP that have statues (ChouChou, Calgara, Usopp, Kyros, Norland & now Luffy)
But two of them have 2 statues! Usopp and Kyros. That reminds me I need to update my statue pic or just do a new one … yeah just do a new one...
[hide] [/hide]
HOLY SHIT!! How did I miss Chouchou getting a statue? So awesome!!!
Hmm, a thought came to my mind. You know, about what I said earlier about Jack. Maybe he does have suicidal tendencies, you know, such thoughts run in the crew
@Galaxy:
It's this silhouette.
[qimg]http://puu.sh/kmfhD/8e1f920d85.jpg[/qimg]
It's right in between Borsalino and Sakazuki.
I see her/his hair pointed like a bulls horn on top on the bubble.
HOLY SHIT!! How did I miss Chouchou getting a statue? So awesome!!!
It's easy to miss as it was on a cover ;) it was seen during the Decks of the World cover arc, ch 619
amusingly enough, it was the first statue of a living character, since Calgara was long dead and this was seen before Usopp's statue in ch. 645

Not all captives are automatically snitches. Plus Ivankov and Inazuma were hidden at level 5.5 at impel down.
They know Ivankov and probably most of the high ranking RA, but do they know the location of their base?
For now i'll stick with this reason, until something more plausible is revealed.
Well, finally Usopp gets his ridiculously high bounty I've been expecting since Sabaody.
P.S.Why the hell the marines gave Dofla a new pair of glasses?
More than that, they had one with Doffy's preferred design. :D
By the way, I wonder whether the WG is going to assassinate Doffy or request his (early) execution. Otherwise it would be quite a loophole in the story for the Tenryuubito not to care whether he remains alive.
They had Ivankov (and Inazuma) locked up for God knows how long but never bothered extracting any kind of information, as far as we know.
Mm, don't the prisoners have periodic interrogations and jobs and then are sent back to their cell? It takes a long time for someone like Iva to break so some time Iva just disappeared while in a cell or at work.
I'm thinking a boat for the dwarves, yes. But maybe not with that name lol
Again, its Usoland statue.
So this is the fate of Doflamingo.
Jack will save him and Kaidou will beat him up? And maybe he will play a role in defeating Kaidou with the supernovas and Moria?
What's Leo planning? building the Tonta-go?
I'm thinking a boat for the dwarves, yes. But maybe not with that name lol
Again, its Usoland statue.
yeah I agree, Leo was likely planning on the statues…. but for fun's sake I'm gonna comment on the "what would the Tontattas ship be called?" idea =
The Usolander :ninja:
But that's not really the most important question about a ship for the dwarves.
The important question is how big would the ship be?!
another theory: Sanji's cooking abilities somehow became known to a very powerful character and he wants a slave-cook. (?)
Could it be Scopper Gaban, the seventh Shichibukai?!
Could it be Scopper Gaban, the seventh Shichibukai?!
Nope. The hair doesn't quite match.
And it's supposed to be a guy who was a rookie after Roger's death. Check up on Zephyr's story in wikia.
@uniaka:
Jack will save him and Kaidou will beat him up? And maybe he will play a role in defeating Kaidou with the supernovas and Moria?
Jack owning or outwitting two vice-admirals, an admiral and former fleet chief, that would be some grand failure on the marines' part.
PS: Anyone noticed Usopp's leg on page 13 (or 12) in the group frame where Law ask Barto to sail to Zou. A bit too thin xD
Jack owning or outwitting two vice-admirals, an admiral and former fleet chief, that would be some grand failure.
It's doable, but only if he's a friggin monster or has some insanely convenient/hax devil fruit.
Can't wait to see what becomes of this situation. Clearly Oda didn't put it in just for kicks. And what would be the point of that Jack failing? Maybe that would cause Kaidou to attack Marines to free Jack?

Why would he be planning the statues that are already almost built?
Why would he be planning the statues that are already almost built?
We don't know the time frame. The panel with Leo giving prints and the panel with statues being almost finished might be days apart.
Plus the guy at the bottom of statues pointing his finger looks like he might be the same guy Leo showed the sketches to.

I intentionally didn't comment on whether it's doable, of course, it is. However, no matter Jack's ability it would still be a grand failure, most certainly a reason for Sakazuki to fire Issho, especially after failing to capture Luffy. That's why it's interesting as to how it'll play out.
But the marines doesn't know that Robin spent two years with the Revolutionaries. While Sanji was shown being protected by a bunch of okamas at SA. Finding out Ivan's whereabouts or hideout, is a plus for the WG.
Being protected by Okamas doesn't mean anything, you know. Not every Okama comes from Kamabakka.
Not to mention that this would be a weird plot point to bring now. The chapter implied Sanji's new status coming from an unknown development, so it's most likely something we don't know.
Sorry if already said:

Why don't they interrogate Buggy about Ivankov's whereabouts then? After all, they did work together.
And really, by this logic, why not have Luffy only alive as well, considering that he might know something about his father? Or Sabo (The Marines know that Sabo is Luffy older brother)?
Jack got balls, kid, BALLS! That's it, I go watching None Piece again

I imagine he/one of his crew has some crazy DF. Like he can control mind of others and use it to control marines so they bring DD to him.
Or maybe he can has a sneak sneak DF that can sneak in the marines's ship and take DD without notice. Maybe he would just have to beat Tsuru alone.
Aldo it would increase his chances a lot if Kaidou shows up.
Jack got balls, kid, BALLS! That's it, I go watching None Piece again
Or he is just plain crazy. Doflamingo himself had big balls, look how far that got him :ninja:, locked on his way to ID, defeated by some kids.
Why would he be planning the statues that are already almost built?

There's certainly time between when Leo said he had something to do in the last chapter and seeing the statues this chapter.
Let's not forget about 'cartoon physics' where Franky can build a bridge in seconds, and only days (if that) for the Galley-La Co. can build a basic building (no frills, just basics like kitchen) where Iceburg's building once stood but got burned down. Lets not forget how quick the Sunny was built.
(wasn't just 3-4 days after the Enies Lobby incident that the SHs then escaped Garp at Water 7?)
So a single day to build the statues is nothing
Maybe Jack has some power that turn him into a monster able to turn the ship down. In this way Sengoku and Tsuru would off and Fujitora would have his own beginning problem to stay floating. In the meanwhile Jack stole Dofla's glasses and goodbye.

Let's also not forget how fast and strong dwarves are.
What the hell King Riku, why did you keep lying about the dwarves and Rebecca, didn’t I say how stupid that ioh, I can’t even do this, FINALLY! No more bullshit lies in Dressrosa! Thematic consistency, fuck yes! Seriously, I’d love to have seen the actual scene of Kyros finally being “busted”, but that panel of Rebecca with a dwarf on her shoulder being greeted in the street makes me so damn happy. Kyros can keep his paranoia and isolate himself in that hut as much as he likes, that statue, and Rebecca being greeted, shows that the jig is up.
I'm probably one of the rare exceptions here, but I personally found the first few pages of the chapter much more affecting and memorable than the rest. And not because of the Lucci cameo, even though him staying with the Cipher Pols makes a ton more sense than the CP9 cover story.
DANGER: GRUMPINESS AHEAD. This post might hijack your brain and retroactively ruin all enjoyment you had of the chapter, and poison the thread for all eternity. Or maybe not.
I was quite hopeful when I saw we'd get a scene of Tsuru talking to a captured, beaten Doflamingo; Were we gonna see him reflect on his relationship with Law? The loss of his self-made Family? The murders of his actual family? Maybe even some payoff to his dreams of immortality, the “secret of Marijois”, or those times his crew said something about him becoming pirate king?
Nope. Instead we just get a speech about how we should GET HYPE! Remember all these characters and factions that I’m conveniently listing with helpful collages to go with them? These guys are totally gonna do something! Look forward to it!
I mean, I know its not the first time Doffy has made a “Big Declaration!!!”; between his initial THE NEW AGE COMETH, the WARLORDS GONNA FIGHT WHITEBEARD and now this you might say prophesizing big things is a Doflamingo character trait…but unlike other declarations, like Blackbeards at the War or Luffy at Enies Lobby, its not anything Doflamingo will, or appearantly ever had any interest to take part in. Doflamingo for all his grandiose statements about the future, never managed to crystallize any main tangible future goal for himself for the readers to latch onto (which might be my biggest problem with him as a villain overall, and something I won’t dedicate hours to arguing at this point in time, so hold your horses).
Now, I’m pretty sure that something will come of Doflamingos declaration later on, I’m just saying why it didn’t do anything for me, why it didn’t hype me up; I’d have taken a Dressrosa-arc specific scene of Gatz reorganizing the Coliseum over a generic speech like this. I know its context is that Jokers defeat is supposedly shaking things up, but really, you could’ve cut to Doffy when the news of Luffys return got out, and “Mfufufu…Now begins…the Throne Wars!!!” would’ve fit fine. Doffys little jab at the World Nobles on their high horses was the only thing that really struck a chord with me in terms of his characters role in the Dressrosa arc.
I’m just numb to the hype at this point, and that goes for the Bounties too. The numbers went up, big woop? That by itself is not very interesting to me. Back at Water 7 this hit with the force of being the second bounty increase in the series, and a massive one at that; 5/8 crewmembers got their very first bounties, and Chopper, Sanji, Nami and Sogeking all had original jokes attached to theirs. Plus the whole thing was contextualized as an urgent “time to move your asses, and also bring Franky along” wake up call. That all made it memorable. Here, it’s the 4th increase, the bounties are literally here as a showcase, and it very much feels been-there-done that. The Sanji poster provides a plothook, and the small moment between Franky and Usopp is more entertaining than all the updated numbers, but overall, I just don’t see this as a particularly memorable moment.
It might just be because I’d honestly forgotten what the crews prior bounties even were, but I’d much rather have traded it for some closure to the Bellamy storyline; no matter if you’d convinced yourself he was gonna join or not, that deserved some actual time dedicated to it. And the fact that “We might see a payoff in 200 chapters or so!” doesn’t mean dick, Bellamys relationship was part of Dressrosa, it deserved to be payoffed in the Dressrosa arc, like stories usually do.
A Burgess update would’ve been appreciated too, but I’ve got my fingers crossed for next week.
I’m hoping so bad that the Zou arc or wherever we’re headed now is going to be more small and intimate, and not burdened by setting up the future, but at the very least I’m looking forward to the initial chapters of exploration and Straw Hat interaction.
I’m not trying to detract from anyone who’s liking this chapter, feel free, all the hype and promises is just not really for me anymore; its very much a feeling comparable to what Toriko accomplished twice as fast: "yes yes, this is all well and good, big things are going down, you're world building and throwing out big names and stuff, fair enough, but I'm just here to see these characters interact, go on adventures, and experience neat little self-contained stories"
@uniaka:
So this is the fate of Doflamingo.

Jack looks insane but it seems he'll fail on his mission.
Green COW would be kinda sexist.
It would be hilarious if you ask me, sounds like a superhero from some South Park. But then again, cow probably doesn't have the same connotations in japanese as it does in the U.S.
@uniaka:
Or he is just plain crazy. Doflamingo himself had big balls, look how far that got him :ninja:, locked on his way to ID, defeated by some kids.
I blame you for picturing a One Piece / Scooby Doo crossover with Luffy in the classic red pose as he tears away a mask … only Luffy is holding onto Doffy's glasses.
Doffy snarls "I would have gotten away with it too, if wasn't for you darn kids and your sniper too!"
cue image of Usopp in Shaggy's clothes
(sadly with Chopper gone there is no Scooby in Shaggy's arms, instead Daphne has to deal with him jumping in her arms ... I mean Chopper and Nami)

Plus, even when you have Big Declarations, they don’t necessarily translate into immediate Big Payoffs or changes to the status quo. How much did Luffys declaration of war on the WG actually matter? I would have expected Dofla to be a little angrier that all he's been working for in 40 years fell apart in 2 days. He's still the same, like you say, laughing at the coming times. He's more like a Joker from The Dark Knight now, as if he was in it for the kicks and all the chaos it would cause.
I guess he derives some satisfaction from the fact things will be more violent and unpredicable now when he isn't there to help control the flow. Like, everyone would have been better off if he was running his business as usual, but now that he's out of the equasion they're fucked.
I would have loved that he was at least shown caring that he won't be able to take Tenryuubito down himself, or something. But maybe he simply hasn't given up yet. He wouldn't have gotten as far as he did if he gave up easilly. And his storyline definitely isn't over yet, since he's the only person that can tie some loose ends.

I’m hoping so bad that the Zou arc or wherever we’re headed now is going to be more small and intimate, and not burdened by setting up the future, but at the very least I’m looking forward to the initial chapters of exploration and Straw Hat interaction. I’m not trying to detract from anyone who’s liking this chapter, feel free, all the hype and promises is just not really for me anymore; its very much a feeling comparable to what Toriko accomplished twice as fast: "yes yes, this is all well and good, big things are going down, you're world building and throwing out big names and stuff, fair enough, but I'm just here to see these characters interact, go on adventures, and experience neat little self-contained stories"
i got to agree with most you said, but you actually missed the part that actually made me hype: Doflamingo will be rescued from under 4 top marines, how the hell will this Jack guy accomplish that? this plus the Sanji "only alive" reward, are the two things i valued most about this chapter, bounties and "the declaration" are just meh
@Daz:
Doflamingo for all his grandiose statements about the future, never managed to crystallize any main tangible future goal for himself for the readers to latch onto (which might be my biggest problem with him as a villain overall, and something I won’t dedicate hours to arguing at this point in time, so hold your horses).
I wondered why Doflamingo seems so….cheery?, when this series makes the point that losing the chance for your dream hurts more than getting beaten up.
Just throwing it here : http://kissmanga.com/Manga/One-Piece/One-Piece-220?id=8576#6
What a cool chapter. I guess Rob Lucci is part of CP0 witch is kinda cool, cause I really like him. We'll probably never see Doflamingo's eyes, but it doesn't really bother me. We may be in for a cool battle soon since Kaido's men are gunning for the Marine convoy knowing full well that there are powerful officers on board.
It was funny that Bartolomeo's crew was exactly like him. His ship was so stupid, but I mean that in the best way possible. I wasn't expecting new bounties this chapter, but I like how everyone's went up even if they weren't on Dressrosa very long. I'm happy with them and really enjoyed the chapter, cause I had no idea where it would go. The Dressrosa wrap up was satisfying as well.
I was literally looking up at CP9's cover story and was hoping they would return last night.
Woah

Doffy just wants to see the world burn. He wanted to do it himself but he still see that future as unavoidable.
He is obviously pretty pissed at "those little shits", but reading the news and seeing his predictions come true is apparently close enough.
