That's actually a training chapter I dig. Throw in a few fun monsters to fight against, possibly pair up the trainees, and voila, you've got yourself a solid story.
Now it's absolutely mandatory to put Hawk and Oslo together.

I'd prefer if we only saw each of the trainees starting to catch on and showing it later during a real fight, instead of wasting chapters on them pawning training dolls of no significant importance with moves we're bound to see later on anyway.
Pretty unremarkable chapter. Not bad, but not really special. I spent most of the chapter thinking about how similar Gilthunder's face is to Meliodas's.
Same impression than when I saw this:
!
… like a useless but unexplacably successful shounen cliche.

Except Toriyama completely forgot those three trained with Kaioh for such a long time. I'm almost sure Nakaba won't make the same mistake.
So clay dragons are stronger than red demons at least, or is it the fact they can't use their weapons that's preventing them to perform properly?

Crossing-finger, but I'd bet nothing interesting will happen with them; (hope I'm wrong). ((Not even Zoro is having his proper shining time (or arc).:getlost:))

i quite like the flashback, the parallel was well done. And it seems the training won’t be too long either. I’m curious to see what Hawk power up will consist on :-)
When will be the day King grows up?
Hauser taking off his clothes was kinda funny, I enjoyed the training Hauser and Gil are doing, it seems that Fraundrin will be confirmed as the weakest commandment because he is gonna face Misfits and Slader.
Goddamnit! At this rate Ban is gonna be staying behind!

I can only hope the similarities will keep going, then.

They can't use their weapons to attack it physically and their magical ablitzes aren't enough to damage it. It probably is more powerful than that demon, since they wiped the floor with it without needing to cut or block.

I very, very rarely find Hawk funny, entertaing, or cute, so if he accidentally died in the training I wouldn't mind at all. Hell, Oslo could even eat him and learn to talk in his stead.

you realize it is wishful thinking and will never happen, right ?

Well of course. He's the annoying mascot character. It just feels like he's been taking up more screentime and panel space since he got resurrected.

well his resurection was strange so it may be has some importance
Talking pets on mangas are always annoying. Hawk is annoying on purpose, but that doesnt make things easier.
At least he should turn into a tucan again, he would be more bearable that way.

I thought he was a parrot.
I´m just here to say that Hawk could be much, much worse:
!
Much much worse…
! … if like the sins, Hawk gets the romantic mode...
!
Ban's not going to fall behind, him being in the fairy forest he'll probably find a way to train the fairies who just regain there motivation to fight.
And still he'll be one of the most powerful fighters still without his sacred treasure.
Considering that Ban can pretty much steal people's power I think he will be fine for now.
Ban is immortal and weaken his opponents so I won't worry. Worst case he can learn some new power thanks to being the fountain of youth.
I found Hawk to be really annoying lately.
Good idea for King to skip that thing. Physical doesn't suit him. But maybe I'm wrong and there's an emerald fit to him.
I wonder what Grimoire challenge is/was.

Seeing their comments on having little sticks and the importance of proper weapon in the manga(King explanation at the city of the dead), I think we better not make such assumption. It also seems to have just the right abilities to fight them…
I'm really just sad that we still don't have all the sins together yet.
I agree, always a freaking issue. :lmao
However as we seen sometimes with One Piece, a huge cast can get into the way of screen time.

Plenty of room.

Better than last weeks chapter.
More details why Gil/Hauser are improving and King just snapped.
Okay, didn't see that one coming.
Personally, I prefer this chapter being released on monday because of the lack of One Piece next week.
Finally someone from the Sins decides to seriously confront Meliodas about his origins, King is the man! Also, there's no better training and no better timing for King than to go against him now because once he's gotten back his powers, he will be beyond competition among the current sins (I'm still excited about Excanor's fighting prowess being revealed)
Well, Ban already did that before and he simply left the Sins.
King is even more laid back and easy going than him so I dont think things are going to go further than a tantrum
Ban's only motivation for anything he ever does is reviving Elaine (or boredom), which I don't consider opposing Meliodas with the goal of getting some answers relating his demon origins. He only seriously fought with Meliodas when that weird goddess offered to revive Elaine in exchange for taking his life. And he also left the sins in order to revive Elaine, not because he couldn't stand not getting answers regarding Meliodas origins.
I wonder How Griamor and Slader are doing.
Guess Ban will go with Hendricksen later?
Griamor will probably be paired with Hawk and Oslo will Slader.
That chapter end was quite a surprise given the topic of the arc but it is true that it makes sense. Now I doubt we can have a Ban like resolution so I wonder what will come up.
Huh, missed this when it came out earlier.
Not a huge fan of the chapter. Lightning armor doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, and King's attack on Meliodas reeks of unnecessary drama. The Hendrickson part was good though.
Damn that is quite the call-back reference haha. If it's good enough to take out psychic rocks it's good enough for clay dragons.
So lightning armor and pinpoint tempest. Nothing to interesting to me, but they are improving.
I'm surprise Gowther hasn't finished the job yet. I think she even has her magical weapon. Maybe we'll get to see Arthur do something.
Maybe Oslo get to eat Hawk.
It still seems awkward when Hendri is the typical good guy(remember their childhood). I fully understand King's reserve when it comes to him.
So Melio is with King. I din't see that one coming. They never stroke me as a duo. But that gives place for some drama as king wants some explanation from Meliodas.
I doubt they will leave the cave without resolving the matter. King is a emotional but loyal guy. As long as Meliodas give the right arguments it should be easy.
From a battle standpoint it's a weird matchup since King greatest assets is versatility while Melio is already a beast. I really wonder what King can do without his awesome spear but a mere spear.
King is even more laid back and easy going than him so I dont think things are going to go further than a tantrum
Ban is definitely more laid back than King(who is pretty serious for a sin). The only thing he takes seriously is Elaine.
Nakaba is definitely good with action and coming up with powers and abilities. But his narration oftentimes feels so off. . .Everything is a bit too sporadic. We go from conflict to cool down in a second, and the way Mel got back his powers…doesn't that contradict his uber dramatic trial with the flashbacks that he couldn't pass? Oh, well.
Not the best SDS chapter.
Yeah, that was the laziest power up training session since Gohan on the Buu saga.
And I knew King would let Meliodas off the hook just like that.
So what's the point of Meliodas training and condensing his darkness into a single spot again? Because he just got his power handed back anyways, which probably tripled his special ability or something around that… Well, at least King's disaster now "rules over life and death" all of a sudden, that's a nice powerup.

But he did pass his trial, otherwise he wouldn't get his power back
Something tells me King will start growing wings.
I have a theory that one of King and Elaine's parents was a human.
Something tells me King will start growing wings.
Yes. It must happen soon, likely in the battle against the commandments.
The power ups are fun, but I think is not enough yet. Estarrosa must be, at least, as powerful as Meliodas.
I honestly don't understand much King's attitude, As far as I can understand Mel answered his question, even if King couldn't understand it. And in the end both of them were saying: "if you do something bad to our comrades, you'll have to face me"… So... ??? Anyway it's not an issue to me.
Nakaba has complete now all the set up for the battle and for Meliodas development to the next level. Sure Elizabeth will play her role in that and I'm wondering what did she learn in this trial.
By the way Meliodas, tits>asses .
Gentlemen, a topic as complex as "tits vs ass" can't be discussed to a satisfying manner as there's always going to be some folks vehemently defending either of the two. All the while failing to see that both are what makes the cake so tasty, being of great importance in different situations, but ultimately functioning as one portrayal of perfection.
Now, what else happened in the chapter again…
There IS a correct answer

On another note: What's with Meliodas' "Full Counter" not doing anything after redircecting King's attack and the latter suffering from random back pain after practice? Is this supposed to hint at something (like King growing wings, since the pain seems located at the shoulder blades)? Because it seems oddly misplaced from a narrative point of view.

Its hinted that King lost his wings somehow, having his power reflected to him may have spurred their growth. I makes no sense since King was trying to open a wound not heal it, but maybe fullcounter reverted the intent of the power.
Its not like the series has been making much sense lately nowadays, lets just enjoy the pretty pictures.
