How would having only one model for pet shop or a logical explanation for star platinum - the world connection would truly improve the manga?
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part II: Do the Dio Walk!

Akari cares so less to his universe that he literally evaporated it.

How would having only one model for pet shop or a logical explanation for star platinum - the world connection would truly improve the manga?
Sticking to the original plan at least would have improved Vento Aureo a thousand times.
-
What original plan?
-
Giorno being a manipulative person who would try to change the 「MAFIA」 by fooling everyone into trusting him and slowly climbing to the top of it.
-
Meh, I'm sick of Jonathan now
Meh, I'm sick of Hamon now
Meh, I'm sick of Bara now
Additional Stand abilities by being stabbed by the arrow once more? Never again
Requiem Stands? Never again
Meh, Giorno, Josuke, who cares about those guys? They don't need to appear anymore
In fact, this entire story is a mess, I'll start all over again with a new universe that may or may not have any connections to the old one
But I'll make most of my new characters parodies of the old ones, just to tease my fans -

No.
Made In Heaven did not destroy the Original Universe. It became the End of Part 6 Universe – the only difference is that the people that Pucci killed were revived and refit into the timeline. It is not the SBR/Jojolion universe. Thus, we don't see Irene (new Jolyne) in the family tree revealed in Jojolion.
Jolyne, Jotaro, and everybody who died at Pucci's hands are alive, just in new forms. Joseph, Giorno, and Josuke are still alive, in their original forms -- literally for Giorno, as Made in Heaven does not affect Gold Experience Requiem (Video game/Jorge canon, but likely intended by Araki).
Finally, due to the effects of Made in Heaven, everybody in the new universe is in "heaven", metaphorically. The Joestars of the original timeline are finally at peace.
What Made in Heaven did do is spawn a multiverse – which sets up SBR.

IMO, What Araki is exceptionally gifted at, and given far too little credit for, is writing charachters. I think that, along with the absurdly fun writing of the single fights, makes up for all the inconsitencies and the plotholes.
i know many will disagree, but i find that his charachters are actually quite consistent, and what's really good it's that they aren't necessarily complex, hardly so, but with just a few established traits, one flashback and a monologue or two, they feel really alive and believable. A few examples.
Look at Giorno: while many (including me) find him dull, many others can prove those wrong bringing examples to the table and arguing ow his personality, established early on, carries on till the end coherently (while his stand's powers don't :P).
Or Jo2uke: while distracted by all the bizarreness in New Morio and neverending mysteries, it's easy to miss how he's becoming progressivvely more ruthless in order to unveil his true identity.
Jotaro? he was a pretty bi-dimensional charachter in his part, but since the very beginning we had some hints that his cool attitude was actually more of a facade, which partly faded with the years and we get finally to see how actually he's vulnerable in front of situations he can't handle with his fists alone in part 6.
That to talk about the less loved MCs.
Switching to the main antagonist, and referring to what someone wrote yesterday or so on the last episode: Dio,from chapter one to his demise was just one thing; a power-hungry thief. And an enthusiast of new powers too. Very simple, yet every thing he did could be easily linked to those simple traits established in the very first chapter of the series and still stood firmly after some years and a couple of art shifts… almost every single member of each Joestar party is good, and almost any lesser goon from part 3 on is at worse memorable.long story short, what makes JoJo so compelling for me is how good gets the simple point of putting a well defined charachter in a well defined situation and find a fun and original way for him/her to play it out. other series are more fit for intricate, coherent main storylines, the episodes is what you look forward to in JoJo.
-
Also, a reboot would've been necessary anyway. Jojo has been in linear order, timeline wise – each Jojo is chronologically set after the rest. Jolyne is a teenager in 2011. Suppose the timeline did not change and she survived and had a son who became the Jojo of Part 7.
What date would that Jojo be alive in? In the 2040s? Araki has always been writing about the past or the recent future, but the 2040s would be a huge leap -- and what about Jojos after that? Unless Araki pretends society and technology didn't change, Jojo would become straight up science fictional, which while cool, would change the tone dramatically.
OK, maybe Araki could've gone backwards in time and used a previous Jojo. But who's there in the Joestar family to do that with? Shizuka? That's a stretch. Do you go look at Josuke's or Giorno's descendants? You'll still run of time eventually.
So a timeline reboot would've been necessary at some point. Go look at the Jojolion Joestar family tree – it's absolutely huge compared to the original timeline's, giving Araki a lot more room.
-
If Araki had kept writing the old continuity into the far future the series would have lost a part of its charm (for me), namely the surreal events in contrast to the realistic setting. And look at it this way: how do you even give a multigenerational epic covering over a hundred years like JoJo's Bizarre Adventure a satisfying ending? Going full End of Evangelion mode feels like the right thing to do if you ask me.

So any news on Part 4 being made?

Jojolion chapter 44.
Two more pieces for the puzzle. Araki is being very generous lately.
-
Oh my God, the first page is already a giant WTF moment.
-
All rockmen have been great so far, but Karera is on a different level.
Oh my God, the first page is already a giant WTF moment.
Thirty pages later you might find yourself from thirty pages ago an easily impressed fellow.
-
We get a little information, and more crazy things come up.
This is definitely the Strangest JoJo so far with the sheer WTF's you get. And here I was convinced we were about to learn a character was a transsexual, but it ended up being a misunderstanding. Though seems like a weird way to do that process. Karera is indeed the most interesting one so far, and really interested to find out more about her.
-
I feel like Araki has lost his touch with the "What the fuck is happening to me, why I have this inexplicable wound right now!!?" faces.
Also, I'm not feeling the brother's design.
Loved Karera's powers though, and how she's smart enough to use them, Love Deluxe remix?

The facial expressions have just been off this series. I can't put my finger on it, but they just feel strange and not natural like the other parts.
I also feel the flow of this part is off compared to the others. Granted, it has been quite about a year since I started read through all the parts at once, but the way the panels are displayed and the drawings seem confusing at times. The progression of movements just doesn't seem natural. It could just be reading weekly instead of going through an entire part at once can be part of it, but because of boat internet connection, it always took time to read even a chapter, and this part has felt off.
-
The pace felt off as well during SBR, but as it was done when I read it, and the sense of progression was more natural (collect all jesucrist, get to the other side of america), in this is "The mistery" that we won't know how much we progressed until the end. It's the issue of the first halfs of part 4 and 6, (pre kira and pre breakout) that we have no idea how much we had avanced and how much we had to go.
It's like a review that I read about okami, even though most of it was the stronger game, people tend to enjoy zelda more because you know how much of a progress you had made at every moment, with the dungeon trinkets and stuff, not like Okami that the progression beyond orochi is strange and kind of stagnates.

Sticky Fingers anyone?

The best voice performances of the Stardust Crusaders anime, IMO:
Unshō Ishizuka as Joseph: Really nailed the character's personality with his gravely baritone, and is a convincing evolution of Sugita's performance in Part 2. He's about the right age too.
Fuminori Komatsu as Polnareff: A relatively unknown seiyuu with big shoes to fill (namely those of Hiroaki Hirata aka freaking Sanji) who in my opinion captured the unpredictability of Polnareff - his serious scenes in particular are great (see the Chaka battle).
Shōto Kashii as Devo: Fittingly creepy, switching between anger and maniacal laughter at the drop of a hat (or rather, a rapier to the eye).
Hidenobu Kiuchi as Hol Horse: Initially I was skeptical because it wasn't Hōchū Ōtsuka (from ASB, one of my favorite seiyuu of all time) but he really "got" Hol Horse's arrogant, pompous side which was excellent for his more comedic scenes.
Takuya Kirimoto as J. Geil: Just listen to his gloating in episode 11. Then listen to his squirming near the end of the same episode.
Banjō Ginga as Elder D'Arby: Alright, he doesn't sound 31, but he's the best possible successor to Kenji Utsumi, who voiced him in the OVA. Sieg Zeon!
Junichi Suwabe as Younger D'Arby: Suitably smug and polite, but his breakdown is particulary memorable.
Shō Hayami as Vanilla Ice: Super creepy monotone/baritone that really makes you feel like you're up against someone who will stop at nothing to kill you. Plus, he reprised his role from Heritage for the Future, to everyone's surprise.
Takehito Koyasu as DIO: Even more awesome and hot-blooded than in the 2012 anime. You can tell he's having a total blast with the role. -
Why would someone shot a selfie without looking at the phone?
Also Josefumi's hair is dumb.:ninja:
-
Jo2suke's face design is atrocious. That face is the fucking stuff nightmares are made of. Holy shit. What's the deal with current Araki and eyebrows, though? It's like he can only draw these uber thin eyebrows mixed with giganting, hmm, how is it called? "Eyebrow muscles"? The area where the eyebrows are in the human body? That.
I like the girl's stand, though.
-
Forget the face and look at those clothes. Man, how much time does Araki take to draw those things? His shirt looks like a waffle.
-

WHAT THE DUWANG DID YOU SAY ABOUT HIS HAIR
anyway, I'm sure when you're fabulous, you can take pics through any pose you want and know it'll turn out mostly great
-
On the photo, Yoshikage has no star birthmark despite being Holly's son, while Josefumi has one. Does that make Jojolion's Kujos related to Joestars in some way that wasn't shown in the family tree book? Both Johnny and his son had multiple children, so a branch family is likely to appear.

High brow ridge and lowered eyelids gives him a very calm and relaxed look, showing off confidence and control of the situation.
A look that would fit a villain.
Wait, are we talking about Josuke or Josefumi?

! Araki has practiced before just in case, don't worry.
-
On that photo, Kira looks nothing like himself.
And yes, the lack of the birthmark on Kira is weird.
Maybe Josefumi is also an illegitimate son. Also "It was Kira´s knowledge that hid me from the world.". That´s a weird sentence.

Sticky Fingers anyone?
The way he used it was similar, but the ability was different.
In the first cop, he copied the object he was touching with his left hand with his right hand, and destroyed the original object.
With the second one, it was weirder, he touched the cop´s hand and he made a copy of it, also destroying his hand, but when he let go, the cop had his hand restored.I think it might be some sort of low range teleporting.
The objects aren´t really destroyed. They transfer to his hand. -

I was talking about the zipper.
Ah. Totally forgot about that.
The other one also resembled Sticky Fingers when used on Giorne the first time and on that airport security guy in Notorious BIG. -
-
Joel for Kira dub.
On the other hand thanks for bringing some Vinesauce here; I always love it when Joel streams Jojo stuff.
-
On that photo, Kira looks nothing like himself.
You think so? Araki has drawn his face a bit more angular before, with pronounced cheekbones, but eyes and nose are the same. He doesn't look familiar because his fringe is on the left side which we can not see.

Unless Josefumi is Joseph 2.0.
Also "It was Kira´s knowledge that hid me from the world.". That´s a weird sentence.
Kira stuck his beautiful fingers in many places. Knowledge would be something he would deal in. Moreover, he was a doctor, so perhaps he has learned something on rockmen physiology to help Karera. I don't see anything weird here.
On the other hand, Karera's line?
If nobody finds out what you are doing… then you'll "succeed".
Now that's weird.

Wait, do we have any confirmation that Karera is a rockman?
She just seems like Kira and most likely Josefumi. Most likely got her nose too deep in their business and now she´s in trouble.
Going to reread the chapters again to confirm.About that line, it´s just another layer to the mystery. Josefumi was doing something and he got killed because of it. He failed.

No, it looks like he's eternaly derping with one of those stupid Rinnegans or wathever from Naruto. Seriously, part 4 Josuke looks much better. The hair, the eyes, the eyebrows. . .everything.

The shave sideburns are weird, but Araki clearly just forgot to ink the pupils black somehow. Other than those 2 things, I would say he looks fine.
I like the eyebrow like that though. It's how Inoue Takehiko draws eyebrows too, just not as extreme.
-
Kujo Josefumi. Is he gonna be like the ultimate joestar? He has Jotaro's last name, looks a little like Josuke and Josefumi is like the Japanese Joseph (like Joshuu and Joshua).

Guys, one thing we don't talk about enough is how Takehito Koyasu as DIO is perfection incarnate and one of the greatest gifts to humanity.

Best woman and best bird are in.

The english dub of episode 3 and 10 were shown at Animexpo and some guy shared clips on Twitter.
Everyone seemed to be bashing it, but I actually thought it sounded good; as campy as Jojo should be.
-
^ I hope bashing was because of glorious nippon voice acting sub purism and not because the dub is actually bad.
-
For those who want to judge by themselves.
I like it quite a bit, specially Speedwagon. -
^ I hope bashing was because of glorious nippon voice acting sub purism and not because the dub is actually bad.
Maybe's it's because of the abridged series.
-
Antfish will always be the official Dio's english voice.
-
I like Speedwagons voice. And dio's is pretty good. Not sold on either jostars yet.

Taking the date into consideration, there is a shameful lack of PATRIOTISM in this thread.
Let us take a portion of our day to discuss best Jojo villain.
