That hyped me up.
But keep in mind this happened after
And actually that made sanji shine even more. Wow, seeing this made me think of how much I miss the remaining of the crew and especially sanji.

This arc is a few chapters away from over, Doflamingo is like 1 chapter away from defeated but we still din't solve this arc's biggest myster

What's in that suitcase???? It's killing me.
Coult it be a symbol that Bartolomeo packed his bags to ask Luffy tojoin the Straw hats??
seriously? Doffy has 1 foot in the grave and Zoro still hasnt even had a time to shine since the time skip, all his fights have all been just messing around. pretty sure zoro has some pretty monstrous new abilities still unseen.
What one foot in the grave? This guy is effortlessly using awakened abilities and keeping birdcage up despite being in a critical condition and if you paid attention I said Zoro would triumph but if you think the strongest villain Luffy has ever fought would be defeated by Zoro in 5-6mins you're obviously overestimating Zoro and underestimating Doffy. We've already seen how cunning Doffy is in a battle situation, under what situation would he allow himself to get hit so easily when, like others have stated, his minion was able to avoid being hit by Zoro for so many chapters?

I thought we already know about the contents of the suitcase. It contains pictures, posters and fan stuff of the strawhats.

Nope, I would remember if he opened the suitcase. And the pictures, posters thing was from his flashback.
You guys still do not believe. Doflamingo will (For sure!) not die, for he is the final villain of One Piece.
I have seen the future, for I am KOP.
Look, I've written my prediction in Haiku form:
A tall bird will fall.
Devious shadow lives,
The run to escape death.

Just a guess but maybe he was going to use the suitcase to keep the mera mera safe until he found luffy?

I've never seen that before.. Knowing Oda, its something.
@DHL:
We know that lol.
But what we've established is, is a 1 on 1. Luffy vs flamingo no distractions with full strength, Doflamingo would win. That's what I sincerely understand.
ok well why do you think that? Bc Luffy ran out of haki and exhausted himself? Bc in a true 1v1 Luffy never would've fought Don or the toy solders or all those other guys and would've had much more haki to use and maintain g4 for longer. Mingo couldn't do anything to Luffy in that form and thats not bc of laws attack.

Laws attack has impaired him in his fight and Luffy himself KNOWS it and was counting on it.
Haki has a regen time remember, he had god knows how much time to regen the absolute minimum amount of Haki he used. Luffy used all of his energy going all out and failed to put him down. That's the facts. Doflamingo is still using Haki because he's not stupid and spamming it.
Doflamingo knew he couldn't afford to take anymore hits and he started fighting from a distance. As I've said, we've only seen very little from Luffy in Gear 4 and is not enough to judge what Doflamingo would be able to do at full strength.
The tide changer of the fight was the Kong Gun Doflamingo stupidly tried to "tank".
Doflamingo could have handled Gear 4 a ton better. Even say Luffy edged flamingo in gear 4 at full strength, Doflamingo would have come out on top anyway.

My biggest hope for the end of the arc is that we find out more about Nolan's relationship with the Tontattas and we get a flashback of what Bellamy did in the Sky Island. I loved Nolan and his story and the sky islands are SUPER interesting.

Maybe Bellamy's Sky Island adventure will be a cover story though since we already know it so maybe not.
So do you guys think the fight will end at 789?
cant wait for this arc to finish even though this arc has provided lot of awesome moments and new characters…its a clusterfuck

Luffy will probs recover and save Viola/Rebecca when they get owned by Doffy. Either him or Cavendish and then 790 will be when Luffy makes a comeback if cavendish gets involved.

Why not both? Cabbage saves th halfway through 789 and Luffy is back up and facing him down by the end of it. Luffy finishes Doffy in 791.

Thats true haki does recover but i don't think Luffy was fighting with 100% of his available haki. Thats a mute point though as theres not really any evidence for that, just my opinion. How would mango have come out on top when he couldn't eve see half of Luffy's attacks? His rhino shnider or whatever its called was so fast mango had his head turned the other way. He straight up got bruenoed. While i agree we haven't seen doffy use all his tricks no way was leo bazooka Luffys best move either.
So do you guys think the fight will end at 789?
I hope so but if not, and we have a break, I'm sure the chapter after the break will end it.
I can see it. Luffy recovers on the last panel. Break next week.
i wonder how long next arc will be
i wonder, which is true between these two possibilities:
A.Birdcage is tens of times stronger than Doflamingo's Awakened strings which are tens of times more dense than the Birdcage. This would make the "Why doesn't Zoro JUST defeat Doflamingo who is the source of the problem?" the weakness of this hypothesis is, Doflamingo's Awakened strings, which also have sharp and cutting properties like we've seen Birdcage doing, is likely to be stronger, since they is "Awakened" and has similar sharp feature which have no proof of difference from the Birdcage so far. Thus hypothesis would also justify Fujitora seeming weaker than Luffy's Gear 4th.
B.One individual string from Birdcage is similar in strength with one individual Awakened strings which Dofla used to attack, Luffy. It would justify Doflamingo being pissed at Luffy since literally no one rookie has given his strings so much trouble. He can even use them to halt Jozu. It would justify Luffy's exhaustion since Gear 4th was a desperation move full of weakness after its use. It would also justify Zoro and others not acting directly against Doflamingo, since the bundle of Awakened strings would be even stronger than Birdcage. This hypothesis would also justify Fujitora playing around and conflicted so that he didn't go all out.
What do you think?
I try not to think about the birdcage too much. Same way I didn't think about Enel not melting Luffy (and everyone else).
Sturdy strings that are far too sharp for any sword or other object to be able to cut them without getting damaged.
Jozu is no where near 20 times the size of Don and croc don't even have touch you with his hand to dry you out.
Here is a pic of him next to marco
If it's one thing you learn about OP is oda characters get huge\small when he does certain perspectives.
i sure Jozu is much bigger width wise not sure about 20 times.
Mind you don is suppose to be 10 feet tall .
EDIT i found another pic i rather use but how do you take images out of your post ?

Doflamingo is 10ft tall, Kuma is 22ft tall and from that I will guess Jozu is atleast 30ft tall or 25ft tall.
You're insane. Jozu isn't 10 meters tall. How tall was Whitebeard then?
Whitebeard is 4 faruls tall.
Good thing height is nothing in one piece. Admirals, WB, big mom are rather tall but still bugs compared with giants. Luffy, Sanji, Zoro,Kid, Law are the next to climb the top and they are more close to IRL humans in height then those guys.
it always angers me how size is always changing in one piece…. at times the War ships look like they can actually hold the Thousand+ people they claim to, but most times they look like they are 100 foot long and hold 75 people..... same with human sizes... White beard looked like 40 feet tall sometimes and then 8 foot tall others..
I kinda like it
not Odas' inability to portray the size of things in a consistent way, but his whole deal with just being random as hell about it, reminds me a little of DBZ and all those animal people being everywhere. You'll ask yourself how that is even possible and what the implications are and why things are the way they are, but in the end it doesn't really matter, because it's more of a quirk than being detrimental to the story or the overall product
gogogo spoilers 789¡¡¡¡¡

"It's One Piece!! (LOL)"
Some of the distortions are simply because of perspective, some are probably used to relay the presence of a character (by drawing him bigger than usual in relation to other characters) and most of them are simply Oda not bothering with proportions that much.
"It's One Piece!! (LOL)"
Lmao.
I think it's mostly nitpicking. It really bothered me only 3 times:
-Fishman Island geography
-Sanjuan Wolf was in Impel Down
-Puffing Tom is MUCH bigger than Merry at first

What about Dressrosa suddenly shrinking to one town.
When they docked, I expected they would spend couple of days there, at least, like in Alabasta. The island looked a lot bigger. There were at least 2 towns so it sounded promising at first, but then nope, it's just a small island. Or it isn't small, but the fact everything is happening in once place makes it seem smaller than it really is.

I swear in some panels it saw, or we saw, more then one city.??!
I never have had a problem with it but burgess hand being the size of luffy 2 chapters ago did made me lol.

Yes it kinda hard to tell how big dressrosa really is .

in before Doflamingo goes all "shit i forgot about the rest of the country"
So do you guys think the fight will end at 789?
The fight will end after the break. well hopefully.
Don't forget Oda's "let's go back in time a few minutes before…" sprecial box.
only time the perspective thing really bugged me was with hammond and co riding the sea-animals when the SH entered fishman island
!
since then i kinda have come to terms with it
Anyone still think that Kaidou's commander could show up now? And he would be DD's escape gate from dressrosa after he is defeated?
And no, it's not Meadows…
In my opinion in chapter 791 the fight with Doffy will end.
789 will be Luffy saving Viola and re-entering the fight.
Both show their last power in 790(maybe Luffy breaking parasite/spider net).
791 finishing move(maybe using CoC), Doffys eyeglasses fall.
Here is a pic of him next to marco

Cant see the picture, but yeah, I get what you are saying. I was just showing that picture because I didn't want to sound absurd giving no proof to show my point. As I stated in a previous post, I said I may have exaggerated the size difference of Doffy to Jozu, but you have to admit, he stilll is gigantic in stature compared to Doffy who in comparison looks scrawny to him.
But as someone said, size in OP fluctuates, and is never one way, so I by overthinking One Piece, I did something completely silly facedesk

Well in Doflamingos defence he was a bit shocked to see Luffy flying, the dude didn't even know where he was after he flew across the country.
Also the the move wasn't the Rhino Schneider, Luffy just soru'd through the air and then attacked. You mean to say Luffy was fast to get behind Doflamingo?
Leo Bazooka is probably one of his most powerful moves. Elephant gattling is the most powerful destructive move.
(That we've seen)

Yeah but he meant to close the gap and get behind him so fast wasn't Rhino Schneider, as in flying through the air towards Doffy and then appearing out of nowhere besides him wasn't the move, but yes the dropkick itself is the move.
