What happened to Robby?
we must all get out our pitchforks for his laziness:ninja:
[hide]Acacia is basically the missing boss for the blue nitro I guess[/hide]
spoiler that pls. Translated transcript doesn't count as a chapter release.
Sorry but I believe it's fact known by everyone as I thought

I mean, that became clear last week's chapter. And was heavily hinted at since Midora vs Ichiryuu fight end. Had I not seen your post, I would have no clue he was referring to spoilers
That was joa right?
What a masterful display of trolling.
Yeah it's him I think

^^^ chapter 244
Man acacia and pair have the weirdest relationship. Eating each other without even a hello
people who still say toruiko hasnt good writing and an epic plot can sleep on sandorikos
so acacia's demon is the demon king? he was equal to blue nitro already in area 7 lol
Prediction: Acacia actually is dead and not immortal. But his food spirit lives on and is the blue oni inside Toriko.
He's far for them I mean blue nitro he was equal because he was at the edge of death
[hide]King demon is going to show up which I think he's the demon of Acacia[/hide]
I said it before Acacia has the demon king in him up until now but we still not sure whether it's the demon king or not
It was a very good chapter but reading "gourmet cells" in almost every speech bubble was annoying, and also how Komatsu Kaka got backstabbed by Teppei Joa only to disappear again saying to go to the next area. Also Acacia and Pair randomly meeting just at the right time in their huge world no less (just like it happened with Frohze and Midora, and Ichiryuu with Toriko), really makes it harder to believe for the third time. Same thing with the blue nitros suddenly having their ultimate masterplan of universal scale based only on one of them perceiving a demon inside Acacia because of their lucky and convenient meeting
It's call destiny
And these kind of coincidences also happen in real life.
The thing that is shown cooking the Earth looks identical to the Sun biting demon of Acacia's fairytales.
Very interesting chapter, though I dont quite get why Acacia's demon is the blue nitro's goal.
Kaka was explaining how nitros are tied to certain ingredients and how they go into slumber when the particular ingredient runs out and then it was all about Acacia's demon, it seems something was missing.
(I can guess that Acacia is the key item to awaken certain important ingredient, but it wasnt very clear)

Thank you Toriko!
But our chef is in another area!

x2
I guess it's their king considering both are trolls from the Gourmet Cells?
Or maybe it's revival is the key to bring forth the second coming of God.
I thought Accacia's demon was the one trying to cook the world? And the blue nitro want to release him so he can finish. That's what i got from it.

Neither do any of us, but that's the point. It's a huge event still shrouded in mistery, and we won't probably get to learn more about it until much, much later.

The world's cooking is the 8 food items from Acacia's menu.
Air, pair and the others are the result of the cooking.
Maybe the planet is getting overcooked?
Or Acacia's demon is the key to another ingredient outside of the 8
Hmm, thinking about it maybe gourmet cell demons are like the nitros and they slumber until the time to collect their ingredient comes. Acacia's demon may have been hosting several people until the time of the solar eclipse, when he'll awaken.
Also Acacia and Pair randomly meeting just at the right time in their huge world no less (just like it happened with Frohze and Midora, and Ichiryuu with Toriko), really makes it harder to believe for the third time.
Er… They were both going for Pair which only exists on one place. What does the size of the world have to do with it...?
When the world gets cooked, maybe even other plantes are being cooked.
Adding to that that the gourmet cells come from outer space, we might see Toriko having adventures in the galaxy.
Turning extraterrestial like Dragonball^^
Coco was half-right in his theory. The Earth really expanded, but not from outside forming new crust. The gourmet cells kept nourishing the planet until it grew to its current size.
Is the scar on acacias head from where Pair ate him?
Though we can barely tell what it looks like, the demon lurking inside Acacia has the same skin color as that thing the Afro Nitro showed Terry, Kiss and Quin which scared them shitless.
But then how many gourmet eclipses need the earth for be properly cooked?

Toriko Gourmet Tour.
The adventures of a 60 years old Toriko after accidently eating the Rejuvenating Dragon's Balls, his grandaughter Pim and Starjun's son with female zonge, Skinny Jean (read in french)…
…IN SPACE!

Fine, I'll go do that. Problem is I'm offshore in a boat. Will sleeping with the fishes be an acceptable alternative?
As for the chapter, The part that got me excited was the end of the chapter where Kaka was gone and everything is pointing to going to the next area. While Toriko is usually fast paced (which can be good or bad), the last few chapters have been dragging. While I am a little more interested in the overall plot, I still don't care for it. Only reason I got a little more interested is the idea of planet size monster and more epic fights because of the imagery, but Toriko doesn't need a story for that.
TORIKO MATH TIME MINI EPISODE
So the Toriko world's surface area is approximately 659 times it's original size. Earlier I calculated from Shima's numbers that the Toriko world currently has 30 times the surface area of the earth. This means that the original Toriko world was really small! It's surface area was only 210^7 km^2, which is only 1.5the area of modern day Russia!
[hide][/hide]
The means it's original radius was just ~1350km, which is ~1.2*the radius of Pluto or about 3/4 the size of our moon.
[hide][/hide]
Also I can't help but post this due to recent plot developments:
Just imagining all the massive meteors impacts being just the Demon King putting some seasoning on Earth is making me laugh.
Hmmm. . .nope, it's still not that clear to me what half of that was really about.
And another "surprise stab from behind in a crowded place" in a row.
For fucks sake, this is just plain horrible lately… And wordy to infinity...
Mangastream version
Well at least shimabukuru can stay consistent with the comic's increasing levels of absurdity if nothing else
I'm imagining a Bayonetta style ending now where they punch the gourmet devil into Mars
@FKM:
But then how many gourmet eclipses need the earth for be properly cooked?
I would go for two long ones and one final short one. But hey, it is not really Earth if it's not al dente.
I think it could reach a point when it gets tiring/boring that we only get this kind of information in brief and condensed packs at the end of each arc. However, this time I think it works great, as it increases the hype for the next ingredient (Acacia's fish), which has been said to be closely related to these "mysteries".
And the backstabbing… I got the feeling that Joa was the author himself telling Kaka "Shut up! You are saying too much, at this rate you are gonna spoil the readers!!!".
So one of the 8 leaked ingredients is called EARTH, but it's not the earth itself.
Well, at least we got a reason for the Acacia-Nitro alliance. So either they are subordinate to him cause of the demon king, or the eating each other part allowed them to communicate.
Still don't know why he had to fake his death to his disciples and exactly how much Ichiryuu knew.
Joa is proof he not she in this chapter. Why didn't he kidnap Komastu instead of attacking Kaka?

Killing the exposition character before they said the entire plot of the manga was a higher priority than kidnapping Komatsu.
Not really, that exposition would have changed little, they'd come into conflict with the blue nitro no matter what. Kidnapping Komatsu would have been a way better move as they actually want him. So unless Kaka started blabbing about combat secrets there's no harm.
But then, why not attack Kaka before he said anything? This only makes sense from a meta prespective, drip feeding info to the audience.
Unless they are pulling a "gather food materials for me", Komatsu, cause they can't cook it themselves, a la Kingdom Hearts 2.

I agree that the exposition would have been changed very little considering when the attack happened. I'm just saying, apparently it was more important to kill the exposition character rather than kidnap Komatsu.
Joa should probs watch out for Teppei considering he/she seems to know that Komatsu's still alive.
I think they want to get Another at 120% because the fake Kaka has stated that he has never seen such a high quality Pair.
