The man is insane. And let's be clear, it's not like his drawings are of bad quality. They may not be the work of high art, like OnePunch Man redrawn by Murata, but they are better that what Kubo puts out. Or Togashi, when he has his days off.
Shame the story doesn't quite match it.
Though I have to say, I liked Gajeel this chapter. He is probably the only character to have a genuine character development in this series.
And he even decides to put down his psychopathic ex-team mate, instead of calling him friend and pretending nothing has happened. Naruto could learn a lesson from that guy…

I know it's only bern a few chapters since the cult arc began. But have they actually done anything yet? The military seems to know what's going on or what they plan to do but I can't recall why they would.

Mashima is a machine when it comes to this manga. You have to respect him for that.
As for the story. Grey Fullchiha is still evil, Natsu believes friendship can solve anything, Lucy is a useless tool, and Juvia has massive supple tits.

I figure Erza won't be brought back until the next arc, whether she's with Jellal's group or Mermaid Heel (those seem to be the most likely options in my eyes, though I've been wrong about that sort of thing before).

Eh. It was a nice chapter of FT Zero. A shame that it's slowly drifting into just more Fairy Tail, it was a little different, better thing in the early chapters. But I still hope for good things from it. Let's see where this story goes. As for the main manga… it seems this Avatar or whatever arc is going to last more than a couple of chapters after all. I'm also liking Gajeel, he seems more mature and with half a brain, unlike out protagonists. I was really hoping for the final arc to start sooner rather than later and for it to be over in about 2 years, but I'm not so sure now.

Fairy Tail Ice Trail is where it's at right now. Gray's random adventure is far more entertaining than Mavis fighting a dead dragon or Natsu and older Gray having a penis measuring contest.

I had no idea Mashima is a Berserk fan(religion stuff and the tortures), but this is of course a kiddy version of Convinction Arc.

Isn't that the problem though? Yeah he can draw fast and a lot, but most of it looks absolutely the same everytime with no real energy etc. And on top of that the story is completely uninspired and bland. All he does is producing a lot of pages fast to get the volume counter high and sell more.

Juvia wasnt with FT for as long as Gray Erza Natsu and even Lucy but they also said they didnt want Natsu or Lucy involved they wanted to take them down themselves obv so since Juvia wasnt needed they didnt think she should know its understandable

Impressive pace of drawing no matter what one thinks of the story's quality. And well, at least Gray is back, so we don't have to deal with a new Sasuke. I honestly appreicate that more than I would've done if they had to convince him to join them again..

The ironic thing was that his magic was slow magic, not speed magic. He basically warped the passage of time in an area of around him, so that anyone in his time bubble thought he was moving faster. He could also apparently summon magical motorcycles and tires. And his name (or his codename, at least) was Racer.

I know they stretched it a little, but don't pretend it's something so stupid that it never happened in anything other besides Fairy Tail.
For all we know, Avatar might have checked where Gray was before he joined them, either by having someone investigate or by using some form of MAGIC. Anyone who would have found Juvia in her present state would have one less reason to doubt Gray. If you're gonna infiltrate a dark, potentially really dangerous guild with who knows what kind of magic in their disposal, better to play safe.
I know it was a cheap plot device, but it's videly used in all the media and not as insane as you make it out.
