Hi everyone
This week episode fight scenes were very good ,best episode so far imo.
I started paying attention to world Trigger when the manga was at this point i thought this was just some random manga until i saw Miwa shooting Yuma :P
As for the last chapter that came out i just have one thing to say Miwa FTW, he's a really badass i like his character a lot .
The world is triggered…

This is heartbreaking, poor Replica!

Aight, thx for the explanation. So far Border got the bailout and the Aftokrator group got the teleport user that functions as a bailout of sorts, remains to be seen how often abilities like this will be used further on in the story.
A Border raiding party might not have bailout when they're on a raid, for example. Should make things far more intense!
Yeah, depending on what stuff is needed for he bailout opt-trigger to function properly it might be very likely that Expeditionary forces have no bailout in neighbor nations. So fights there with them losing their trion bodies could mean the end of their lives.
@.:Nonsh:.:
I loved the Viper shot using the portal, that was badass on Miwa's part.
I liked how Miwa knowing about that trick and a pistol (!!!) were the turning point of the battle. A pistol injured two BTs at the same time severe, just because it was used at the right moment, that stuff is great! I still remember how Kunais got seemingly forgotten in the Narutoverse and Jutsus replaced pretty much everything else. Here a simply pistol was more useful than a BT might have been in the same situation.^^

As for the last chapter that came out i just have one thing to say Miwa FTW, he's a really badass i like his character a lot .Yeah, the fight scenes were pretty good, I kinda wished they had put the rest in there instead of reusing the whole Chika's childhood friend gets kidnapped memeory, but it looks like they had only two artists for this episode and ofc they had to focus their work on the actions equence so other stuff needed to take a step back. Shows how low the budget is for WT anime though. :/
This is heartbreaking, poor Replica!
We might never see Replica again and if we do… who knows what Aftokrator will have done to Replica till then... :c
Now about chapter 80, you can have a long and detailed analysis from me about it like usual:
It was awesome!
That's it!
Bext analysis ever! -
Wordy chapter this week but still quite interesting.
I wonder what will the "hero" say to the press. He obviously feels guilty so I think he will make a promise to rescue the 32 trainees. -
Hmm… just read through all of eighty chapters in a day. Interesting stuff... altough I have this weird feeling I saw some of the designs in one manga or another. Anyone else got that?

Wordy chapter this week but still quite interesting.
I wonder what will the "hero" say to the press. He obviously feels guilty so I think he will make a promise to rescue the 32 trainees.I like how we get political here, with back-stabbings and plans formed behind the covers.
Seems like Netsuki has planned Osamu to take the whole blame for what happened with the 32 kidnapped c-rank kids. Better one person than a whole organisation. Wonder if Kido and the others knows about it. At least it looks like Netsuki is the one who gave that reporter the information to start the whole blame-Osamu-train. That ould be the secret plan, after all it would have happened while Osamu was in the hospital.
Karasawa does not approve of that plan and gets Osamu to come with him to said conference to speak his mind. That would be the back-stabbing at least seen from Netsuki's point of view who fears for Border's reputation.I find it interesting that WT uses this aftermath of the Invasion to not prepare for the next big training arc or next battle arc but for the people who live in Mikado city and outside of it, basically for World building of the background characters. Doubt many readers in japan will like such political chapters but I for one am happy to see that after Osamu's mother, the parent of a Border agent, we get now in-sight on how the world outside of Mikado city looks upon Border (which seems to very critical).
-
Not really what happened in this chapter. You'll see when it's scanlated or if you subscribe to ESJ.
It's Border's PR plan not just Netsuki's. And it's not as bad as you think. -

It's Border's PR plan not just Netsuki's. And it's not as bad as you think.Awww, I kinda liked the idea of Netsuki being nervous and sort of a "coward" in the meeting, but actually having a cold, calculating side to himself that has no problems to go over corpses if it means to keep Border's reputation up.
But does that mean that both Rindou and Shinoda knew about this PR plan? Dang~ -
Chapter 85 is out!
! So Osamu steps into the Lions den aka the free press. XD
And obviously gets it really harsh once he tells them that he is the C-guy who had done that at the school when it was under Neighbor attack. The press didn't cared much for him saving said seven/eight students and were more focused on if he doesn't feel guilty as his doing back then caused the kidnaping of 32 C-ranks. Seems like they really bashed on Osamu there, Kasumi was pretty close to grab a stick and beat up every journalist in this room for shouting at her son. XD
! Yet Osamu turns the atmosphäre around when he announces that he gonna climb up the ranks and get everyone who got kidnapped back home. WHich was a bomb dropped for the journalists as nobody outside of Border had any idea that Border could travel to the neighborhood.
Kido quickly did damage control and lied to the press that they had recently succesful tries with unmanned ships into the neighborhood (haha, yeah, right~) and that someday in the future they might send manned missions into the neigborhood. With the goal to get the people back who were taken.
! So yeah, that's it pretty much.
! Exoect one little thing:
! A short timeskip to 1st february happens and
TEAM OSAMU IS FOUNDED!!!
And ready for its first B-RANK WAR TO RANK UP TO GOTOWARDS A-RANK!!!
Well, it is named Tamakoma 2 Unit/Squad so we can't really call it Team osamu, but it looks like they are now about to get their first rank in the B-rank wars.^^
From what I heard there will be many more tests besides B-team vs B-team, so I guess we are looking at another 20-30 chapter arc, maybe?
Also interesting to note that there is a Suzunari Team 1 in the B teams as well, the B-8 team we have seen in the Aftokrator arc. Seems like another branch but one which is not important enough to take part in the Border meetings.
! So glad we have them as a B-team now! Can't wait to see Chika and Yuuma in Tamakoma uniforms and how they will fare as a team against others much more experienced in teamplay B-teams! <3Or can I talk about it without the spoilers on?

! Interesting to note that the B-Class #3 team and #4 team are Ikoma Unit and Yuba Unit respectively, and those were two of the Fūjin candidates. I think Yuba is female because Jin referred to him/her as Yuba-chan, something used for girls. At least the girls aren't downplayed in this series.
I noticed a skyrocket in the World Trigger rankings on MangaFox, because some group called betterthannothing had scanned to chapter 80. I'm really glad to see this because the invasion arc was amazing. I don't think this will be an issue, but since the group is on a hiatus 'till January, I hope that the rankings don't go back down. Speaking of rankings, WT got 6th in the 52nd issue, but then dropped down to 10th on the 1st issue of 2015. Now, the former ranking was World Trigger's anime debut ranking, but why did it drop to 10? Do the Japanese viewers dislike the anime (not much of a surprise if it was). What I think would work well for WT is if a major reviewer like FW or S7M got hooked onto the manga. I recall FW reviewing the first episode of the anime, but he pretty much dissed it. If he read the manga, he would like it waaaaay better. FW reviewed MHA, and now it's surpassed WT in the MangaFox rankings and ratings.

At the very least, let's continue to use spoiler tags until the official release.

! Yep, the girls/woman are pretty strong in WT and I enjoy that they are not walking fanservices. Not that I mind fanservice but it can sometimes be pretty distracting especially in a serious setting with death and what not.
Given that B-agents were looked at for the Black Trigger, this either means that a BT means a giant power-up no matter if A or B agent uses it or that the Top 5 B teams are pretty close to A agent level. Would explain why Ashihara hasn't shown them yet, he keeps them for the B-rank wars or future invasions.I think the drop was due it being the chapter 77 which was unfinished when it was shown 2 months ago? It was done in a Hiatus x Hiatus style after all.^^
Could be the reason for the drop of votes. Well that and BokuHero getting more and more votes in rankings leaving little for WT to gather. I doubt the anime has yet much to do with that as it would need enough watchers to get an effect and so far I haven't heard much about how many people n japan watches this series.
MHA?What series is this? I honestly doubt a single reviwer has that much impact on a manga/show, I think that the talks in the forums and 2chans and what not were the reasons for people starting to watch BokuHero which is still a new series and thus easier to get into it. Similar to how it happened to MLP when suddenly male adults started to watch it in hordes.^^Also rankings in Mangafox or other managsites doesn't mean that much, expect for internet popularity. Much more important for WT's future are the JUmp rankings and its TOC sales, I heard that the older volumes have a slow raise in the last couple weeks, not much but something. I hope that the new volume which might come out in february can get enough sales to stay for three weeks in oricon annd get over 150k and as close as possible to 200k. If it gets over 200k and its older volumes as well then WT might be safe to become a longer running series of more than just 2 years.
-
Man, episode 8 was as slow as episode 1. Somehow felt like with the many flashbacks and the anime only white rice scene they really wanted this to end at Kido's "Jin, go kill Yuuma and grab his BT from his corpse, will ya?" order. .< Also found an interesting tumblr post about teh symbolism in WT: http://thoughsonart.tumblr.com/post/103997918846/symbolism-and-foreshadowing-in-world-trigger

Osamu's speech was great as well as Kido's intervention.
A rank war arc is coming as I predicted. I'll be looking forward to see some awesome teamwork from Mikumo's team in which Osamu's leadership qualities will shine to make best use of his 2 partners powers. Maybe 3 if Izuho joined them (as an operator would be my guess)
Then, after a last exam to determine who will go to the Neighbor world's between the A rank teams (I'm already guessing that A1, A3, A7 and the 2 Tamakoma squads will go), we should get a massive expedition arc.
About Jin, I expect him to form a special squad with Amo and Hyuse to join the expedition as well. -
I hope once they travel to the neighbor world(neighborhood?) they will become unable to use the bailout feature.
-
Just finished watching the first few episodes of the this series & I can't stop thinking about this :
- The MC is a short, weak looking kid with white hair. but he is a badass ( Kuga = Allen Walker )
- A mysterious energy inside of the heroes that helps them repel evil after they shaped it into a weapon ( Trion = Innocence )
- An agency that was created for protecting people ( Border = B.Order)
- Evil robot soldiers (Trion Warrior= Akumas )
- The swordsman that hate the MC but work with him ( Miwa = Kanada)
- The officer that is overprotective of his younger siblings ( Arashiyama = Komui )
- The protagonist with a weapon that extend ( Yosuke = Lavi )
:/

I doubt Izuho will ever be an operator. XD
She seems more the combat type than Chika despite their big differences in both trion power and current sniping skills due her character. The way she confronted a rabbit after witnessing how an A-agent got turned into a cube to save Chika from behind captured and risking her own safety shows that she is made for the battle. Once she trains more and sincere that is. :P
Doubt she will be a B-sniper at february 1st though.
I really really doubt that IF there is a neighborhood expedition after the B-rank war that Border would send one of its two (as Yuuma is not allowed to use his expect in emergencies) BTs off to a off-worldy journey that could go on for who knows how many days/weeks and with the risk of it failling completely. Border has not the firepower or manpower yet to do an expedition in Aftokrator style and even that one was done only because Aftokrator seems to be in panic mode.@Wes:
I hope once they travel to the neighbor world(neighborhood?) they will become unable to use the bailout feature.
I think that might be the case. After all if one of them would bail-out to their ship that could lead the neighbornation's forces to it and destroying it before the handful of A-agents can prevent that from happening. Losing both a ship and around 6 a-agents would be really bad compared to a single loss. As cruel as that might sound.

Eh, you can find those kinda types in many mangas/animes, right? What's so special about those in this case?
@Miss:
I thought the MC was Osamu…
Osamu and Yuuma are both MCs. And apparently Chika and Jin as well given Ashihara's Q&A's. The way I see it this is the story of those three kids and their "mentor" aka Jin who got them all into Border due whatever he had forseen for them to possibly do in the future. Osamu is the one we see mostly through his eyes as we watch Yuuma, a superb fighter with no goal of his own and a few years left, and Chika, a trion "monster" who wants to save her best brother and best friend from the vastness of the neighborhood.
With Jin sometimes jumping in and grining and being all cool and mysterious. :PAlso spoilers for chapter 86 out!
! Seems like this will be a pretty short arc. More like an interlude to a bigger arc perhaps?
! Osamu has to sit out due his injury, but he takes part in the rank war as a co-moderator to the moderator who's the cute girl operator of B-18 team as well as the ever confident sniper Sarutobi of Arashiyama.
In other words Yuuma and Chika have to do this battle on their own!
Chika got promoted to B-rank as
a) Border realized that Chika was a too-big-trion-to-let-captured-agent
b) allowed to give Chika the reward points from their kills (a lot is given in this manga, usually the MCs have to earn every little thing the "hard and cool way")
So Yuuma and Chika in their first B-rank war versus B-16 and B-17 = They OWN them! xD
Yuuma kills on his own the first team (the girl attacker looked a lot like a grown-up Chika version with more adulty eyes in my opinion) and when the other team decided to hole up in a house and prepare a trap for Yuuma, Chika BLOWS them away with her snipershot aka deathray and Yuuma cuts them in half! This gave their team 8 points of total (1 point for the kills and 2 for surving as a team) which catapulted them upwards to B-12 rank!
Btw, Usami is their operator. Not sure if forever or only temporary till Tamakoma can find another operator purely for team Tamakoma 2.
! Anyway, everybody is O.o at how quickly Yuuma and Chika killed them all and advanced forward. Their next match is on the next day against team Suwa (former rank 10 now 8) and team Arafune (former rank 11 now 10), so I bet that match will be much harder for those two and not as easy as that first one. I believe they miiiiiiiiiiiiight even lose that one. Maybe.
You know, to show that while Yuuma and Chika got a lot of power and battle strength and in Yuuma's case also experience that the other teams can outweight that with their tactics and teamplay they adapted over the years. Basically to show that Yuuma and Chika still need a "leader" even if they are so strong.
! Also Izuho still got the cat with her as she watches the match unfold on the cinema screen. XD -

I think the 'main character' label could finally be even as intended, or maybe even 60/40 in Osamu's favor from now on

Osamu didn't had much going for him till recently that's true. XD
Given Ashihara's statement of Chika and Jin being MCs as well, I wonder when they will get their own story arcs. Chika's pretty clear with the rescue of her friend and brother, but Jin is more of a mystery to what he wants and such. The characters design feels too similar to me, I can't un-see it

Dunno, as I am not sure how the people you compare the WT charas to looks like. Given that you can't unsee it though, there should be some resemblance. Similar to how Rindou reminds everybody of Hughes of FMA. XD
Episode 9 of WT was really nice to watch. Despite there not happening much in terms of action, the animation felt in general much nicer and bit more fluid than in some parts of previous episodes. Yuuma's father sure is a well-known one, at least by the veteran Border members who were in Border before it went public. Given that Yuuma is 15 years old and seems to have lived all his time in the neighborhood that means Yugo was traveling the neighbor countries for more than 15 years! Damn, that's a lot of time he has spent there.
His view on Border is entirely different of what it is now though. Even the reason for Border to went public was to protect humans from neighbors not to be diplomats who introduces neighbors to humanity as nice allies/trading partners.Chika's and Yuuma's talk was good too, especially the part where they made fun of Osamu's tendency to put others before himself though it's clear they like that part of him.^^
What was also fun was Jin's complaining at the end about the three types of people who do not like him, which can be pretty much described as one type: All Girls/Women around him. XD

Chapter 82 is out. Have to say, Chika sleeping on Osamu's mum's shoulder made the chapter for me. Loved that scene!
-
Found this on imgur, I guess i'm not alone in thinking this show have borrowed some elements from dgm after all
-
This has been bugging for some time now, Is Moira an operator? I'm really curious on the possibility that border operators could also possess unique triggers or some form of trion combat weapons that they can use for offensive/defensive attacks during neighbor world visit missions. I hope the author can explore this possibility in the future.
Can someone shed light on Shinji Fuyushima's role in this arc? Is he an operator?
-
Great chapter.
Osamu is slowly becoming my favorite character. I like the way he warned Kido not to try doing the same thing to his teammates.
The first round was over in a flash. The next one with Osamu's return should be fun. I can't wait to see their uniforms.
The explanation of the rank wars was good. I just wonder how the A rank challenge match works exactly.
We'll see but my guess is that 2 teams including Mikumo's (of course) will be promoted. I'll wait to see more about the top division teams before making a prediction. -

Seeing Chika asleep, leaing on Kasumi's shoulder, sure is an adorable sight. She is just so tiny and cute and huggable and everything! <3
Though she would totally pulverize you with a single shot of her monster trion. XDDDhttp://i.imgur.com/FHFawiD.png

DGM? Haven't seen that show, heard good and bad stuff about it though.
Well, could be the case that WT borrowed some elements from it though I guess said elements from DGM were already borrowed from even older animes/stories/etc. Even Tolkien borrowed his Orcs from old folktales. xD
But I still find Ashiahra's three year long work on his new manga to be well-spend (although he could have tried to do a more dynamic first ten chapters similar to BokuHero to capture the attenion of more readers), his story, characters and setting feels very, well, "real", I guess. One Piece, Naruto and even Bleach are all fantastic, supernatural and awesome, but you can't really imagine them in our everyday world.
WT does just that, our everyday world, just with a new technology added to it (as well as the possible complications that brings such a technology with it, like other countries wanting it too, etc. At least I hope WT will someday speak of the world around Border and I do not mean only the neighbor countries with that.^^), a technology we all could use, no devil fruit, ninja chakra or ghost stuff needed. Just take the trigger and let your engery flow into it to make use of it. Kinda like some inventions were the body warmth or movement gives it energy to function and such.So I don't mind WT borrowing elements from other animes or have similarities to them as long as it is done well and fits into the story.^^

I think Aftokrator does not know the role or term for an "operator". They seem to be a highly militaric society so I guess somebody who does purely support roles on a battlefield isn't seen as a very highly position. Maybe that position doesn't even exists. Moira seemed to me like a warrior with some operator skills but not like an operator with some warrior skills. Operators of Border are very vulnerable as we have seen with the 6 operators killed by Enedra. They can't defend themselves and their main role is to analyse stuff on the pc with the infos they get from their Team's combat bodies.
Still seeing the "trapper" abilities, I think some operators can learn some amazing stuff. I think about "drones" or "trap" or "teleport marks" or "intelligent mines" or "power shields", etc, an operator can use on the battlefield to support her/his (if male operators do exist as we have yet to see one :P) team against enemies. Same with stuff like "star marker" that Suwa's squad has used against Enedra. Operators seems to be able to do quite some stuff to make the lives of their team easier and the ones of their opponents harder.
We might get to see that with how Usami will help Chika/Yuuma out against Suwa's and Arafune's operators.Shinji Fuyushima is the guy with glasses, right? The one where we have yet to hear form the name in the manga, but got named as such in the anime already, right?
Well, I believe he is an operator or an engineer due his looks aka having no uniform on and such. Maybe a case similar to Osamu, but one who decided to support Border as Operator or engineer.Which reminds me that I really really wanna see the two engineers from Tamakoma from who we have only seen their backs yet (and that one looks female and the other male)! >.<
I wanna know if the rumors are true that one or both are neighbors which is also why HQ and such looks down upon Tamakoma for using neighbors as engineer to produce own Tamakoma technology.Great chapter.

We'll see but my guess is that 2 teams including Mikumo's (of course) will be promoted. I'll wait to see more about the top division teams before making a prediction.Osamu reminds a bit of an older brother, doesn't he? With all his overprotectiveness of Chika and his "don't do this. Do that"-attitude to Yuuma. In most fanart I've found those three in it, it feels alot like the artists have drawn exactly that kind of relationship between those three.^^
B-16 and B-17 had 0 chance against Yuuma and Chika. XD
I do think though that the Top Ten B-teams aka B-8 and B-10 will be a bit harder for Yuuma and Chika. I still have my money on them winning but that either Yuuma or Chika will go down during the battle and that they barely make it. I also doubt that they will be able to get past the top five B-Teams even with Osamu returning to the team. So I guess Team Tamakoma 2 will make it into the Top Ten, which is already amazing for their very first Rank war, but that they cannot make the first two teams. And that they will lose to one of the top teams who makes it to the first two places and that said one becomes A-rank.
I think they will need a 2nd Rank War before they can make A-rank.
If they made A-rank now…I felt like this would mean Ashihara has fire under his butt and got told that his manga will get cancelled soon after the anime ends if his rankings/sales do not increases which is why he would try to get them to A-rank as quickly as possible even if it would feel too fast. I dunno, but after not hearing anything from the Top 5 B teams and hearing how the top 2 places get the right to take part in the A-rank wars (and I am not sure if that means that only one, both or none can become A-ranked) then i do expect the Top 5 B teams to be near or at A-rank in talent, effort and skills.
And no matter how good Yuuma is, Konami said with the Border Trigger he is currently B-level, for A he needs far more training. And Chika became B-ranked sniper due the points given to her by Yuuma and Osamu and due Border not wanting to have Chika run around without a bail-out trigger anymore. So I guess, there are limits even in the B-rank wars at how far they can get. -
@James:
Seeing Chika asleep, leaing on Kasumi's shoulder, sure is an adorable sight. She is just so tiny and cute and huggable and everything! <3
Though she would totally pulverize you with a single shot of her monster trion. XDDDHave to say I really do like her design, she's very cute! I hope we get the next few chapters sooner, although I have been reading what you post in the spoiler tags, I still want to read them. Her interaction with Osamu should make for a good read
-
I don't see any point in postponing their promotion to A rank. The flow of the story is just going into that direction after what happened at the press conference.
It won't be easy but I don't see it being strange or rushed to see a team with 2 monsters like Yuma and Chika become A9 or something like that right now.
Becoming a top A rank team can wait. Just being the last A rank team is enough for their objective.
All they lack is teamwork and a strong leader and that's what this arc is all about. And honestly, you should stop worrying about the manga being cancelled and just enjoy what you read.

Chika's the Fluttershy of WT to speak in MLP-terms:
Supercute and adorable but don't believe for a second she's weak or you'll regret it. XD
Nekyou is speading up its uploads! We're already at chapter 84 and chapter 85 might come out this week-end too! 8D
Sadly, nobody speaks about them here. :c
Yet. ;PI don't see any point in postponing their promotion to A rank. The flow of the story is just going into that direction after what happened at the press conference.

Who knows. Maybe there is a point as in that Ashihara wants to concentrate back on the city and the world around it. Or more on Border after the B-rank war and of its engineers and scientists we have yet to see and hear much from. That stuff could be done with Osamu and co being B-ranks as well, like meeting with the Tamakoma engineers (and confirm if they are neighbors or if that was just a rumor).
And there could also be a point if Ashihara tries to empathize teamwork and teamplay and teamtactics and that despite Yuuma's experience and Chika's monster trion and Osamu's wit, they are still newbies compared to some B-teams. Like Tamakoma2 most likely will make a rank in the top10/top5 ranks but cannot get into first or second place due other teams being better at taking Tamakoma's strengths out and focusing on their weaknesses.
Yuuma is still B-level with a Border trigger, he might still need some more time before he can reach A-level. Chika got great trion, but she's new to the whole team fighting stuff. That first battle where they curbstomped the two weak B-teams can't really count as real experience, it was over too quickly for that. And Osamu still got an average trion that normally would not make it for agent material.^^
I wouldn't be surprised if the or some of the top5 B-teams are pretty much A-rank material and who will not underestimate Yuuma and co like Midorikawa did. Their operators probably got footage of Tamkoma2's battle/s so they can plan ahead for their match-up.
Also due the point system it is possible that Tamakoma2 can win all its fights yet not make it to the top2 positions if the other two teams for more points than them in their fights. Which is possible as there are, so far, 3 team and 4 team deathmatches. In the latter more points are possible.Right, I'll stop worrying for after the anime ends. Then I can angst about WT's too soon (in my opinion at least) possible ending due low rankings/sales.^^

I was in tears when Osamu's mom said Chika has been in there for some time but is yet to cry, I love her already
The next few chapters will be intriguing. Osamu confronting the journos should make for a good read. It was also a nice touch seeing how many people have come to care for Osamu and have visited him in the hospital.
-
Yuma is definitely not B-rank level anymore.
Konami said that he was already as good as the top of B-ranks on his first day of training with her (day in which he already managed to get a win against her). And that he just needed to get used to the border triggers.
Since then, more than a month passed, during which he destroyed Midorikawa, an A-rank attacker. So, maybe he's not yet at the level of the 2 top attackers but I can't see him losing against the other A-rank attackers introduced so far (ex: Utagawa).
Plus, fighting with Chika is like playing a game with cheat codes. She may not be the more accurate sniper but she's compensating with her damage output. And the fact that Osamu and Yuma can use her Trion to boost their triggers…As I said, the main problem they should encounter is learning to fight as a team, not being weaker than the other teams individually. Using your ace's superior strength efficiently, which Suzunari-1 seemingly can't since they're still B-rank even with one of the strongest attacker.
-
A fighting game seems like a waste. It could of been a pretty cool action rpg with all the different triggers, how each of them has their own pros and cons.

Kasumi seems to want Chika as a step-daugther badly. XD
Looks like Osamu confronting the journalists had quite an effect on Border all together.^^
A tiny bit of chapter 87 spoiler:! Apparently 26 Trainees left Border after the Invasion, which makes sense given how 32 of them got kidnapped and how HUGE that invasion was. However, once Osamu had his speech in Live TV with the journalists the applications to Border to join them FIVEFOLDED!
So yeah, Border won't have to worry about getting shothanded any time soon.^^Yuma is definitely not B-rank level anymore.
Konami said that he was already as good as the top of B-ranks on his first day of training with her (day in which he already managed to get a win against her). And that he just needed to get used to the border triggers.

Yuuma is just one part of a team. If Chika and Osamu gets taken out and he is outnumbered by a smart enemy who moves in his blind spot like Miwa and Yoneya did then even Yuuma will have trouble to not get defeated. Besides, this is a point game, it is possible that Tamakoma2 reaches the first two spots but also possible that they will be one or two points too short and are on place 3 or 4 at the end of the rank war.
And apparently it is not unlikely for B-rank melee fighters to get a couple wins against Midorikawa.
Spoilers for 87:! Suwa squad got that Sasamori guy who apprently was able to get 4 victories out of 10 battles. For a B-rank that's pretty impressive. Surely he will be able to hold himself against Yuuma for a couple seconds or even longer which might be all Suwa and Tsutsumi need to blast Yuuma apart with their shotguns. At least that is Suwa's plan - restrain Yuuma's speedy movement for a couple seconds, blast him to pieces. XDDD
! Arafune also got a plan for Chika's enormous power. While it is incredible, it also gives her position away immediately. So they will dispere over the battleground, waiting for Chika to shoot and immediately aim at that area and kill her before she can get up and run away.
A weakness Osamu has noted as well and warned Chika off. She is supposed to only shot when the time is right.
! Other stuff:
26 BorderAgents quit (not sure if all trainees or some B-agents as well) left Border after the Invasion. Makes sense I might have rethought my application as an agent as well.
However, after Osamu's speech Border got 5 times the applications of new people wanting to join than usually. Border will get plently of agents, operators and engineers for future campaigns with that. Osamu's speech was best advertise it seems. XD
! Also Konami told them that the upper B-teams got agents rivaling A-agents in their strengths. So those Aces could become pretty dangerous to Tamakoma 2 if they underrestimate them.
! The chapter ends with the start of the 2nd round at 5 february. Wasn't Chika supposed to have her birthday at the 21st february? Depending on how many rounds there are, she might have to celebrate her birthday during a day when they got a team death match. -
Some extra news:
WT gets a game in 2015 for the PS VITA:
Hopefully that one will be made better than the anime by Toei. <.<
Then again, I'm just happy WT got a game at all. Didn't thought it would get one tbh as it doesn't seem to be super popular in japan. Now if someday a strategy WT game is made in Xcom style for PC, that would made my day. XD -
Chapter 85, nice speech from Osamu, liked how his brutal honesty was actually useful as it made everything he said believeable. His "I am no hero, I cannot do the results to make everyone happy" was really good. Usually once the MC beats the evil guys everything is fine, everyone is happy and theres some huge celebration; so I enjoy that here we get a different result with people blaming the MC for his mistake/s instead to concentrate on his success.
Looks like the whole information slip about missions into the neighborhood will be good publicity for Border, at least better than articles where the media bashes on one agent because drama sells. Hope sells good as well.^^
But now they got to search for 430 other people besides Chika's brother and her best friend. Real lotta work those three gotta do to get that goal done.
Also raw of chapter 87 is out. Can I post the link here or are raw links also not allowed? Saw a couple of them in Bokuhero so I think raw links are okay, right?
As for episode 10 of WT:
They slowed down a bit again, one chapter and like 4-5 pages of the one after. The whole dinner making, room deciding and fishing took quite some time. And they halved the flashback as well just like with the Miwa squad fight. How will they ever reach the rabits at this pace?!
Looks like we won't get to see Konami, Reiji and Torimaru=Karasuma in the 11th episode but in the 12th at this rate. D:
But all in all it was an okay episode or an so-so episode. Kind of hoped to see a short image of how Mogami-san looked like, but I guess that was too much to ask for.^^ -

Good chapter this week.
Osano is awesome. Best operator ever. That's all I have to say this week.
I can't wait for the next round to start to see how they beat both teams. As for the other 2 good news, I'm very glad.
This manga was made for this kind of multiplayer game. I can see it being quite popular since Japanese gamers love portable multiplayer games.
Hopefully, it will have a big roster (which could be possible if they make generic movesets for each position) and it's the first of many. And as I said a few weeks ago, it was getting obvious that the anime was at least 3 cour.
I'm enjoying the anime so I'm glad. As long as they stay faithful to the manga the way they've been so far (with decent not plot-breaking fillers and the action parts being well animated) that's good enough for me.
I'm expecting the anime boost to become bigger in the incoming months now that it's reaching the part where the manga really becomes great and a lot of fan favourite characters are introduced or more developed. -

Well. the anime gonna be around for quite some time then. Hopefully Toei has put more money into the episodes which will cover the invasion arc, I wouldn't like to see all those battles being still scenes.^^
Shame we got no infos yet on how many people watch WT at sunday or how many of those are kids as Toei wanted this show to be aimed at children with the way they censored the bloody hole in chest stuff. Good that they keep the combat bodies losing heads and arms and such, guess that's okay due them not being real boodies and there being no blood but sparkles and stuff. XD -
86 eng scans are out.
Well, uhmm the other teams sure were just outclassed. In terms of Battle Experience, Trion, even the Operator is above their class so a slaughter was not so surprising.
I am just curious if Border will further develop trion sharing mechanisms with their soldier trion battle bodies. Imagine a group share all their trion for one cannon like attack.
I am excited to see how creative the author will be in utilizing Chika's massive trion abilities. Personally I want to see her attempt to self destruct like a nuke.

There might be neighbor nations who do that, sharing trion for cannon like attacks I mean.
Yep, ep 86 was pretty good, showed clearly how strong Chika and Yuuma are, A-rank is their destiny. Though given how the top teams already got 15 and 14 points from the get-go, it will be hard for Tamakoma 2 to get enough points to earn a top two position. Right now they got 8 points and I dunno if they will manage to get another 8 points in the battle against Suwa and Arafune.WT episode 11, nice new details. Had no idea that the nation was called Kariwari (or whatever its name was XD) and that it was a fortress nation (I wonder how many types of nations exists) or that the attacking was called Spintale. Wonder from which nation that imba assassin was. Also what I never noticed till now… apparently that assassin was able to INJURY the real body which was supposed to be safe behind the trion combat body!!!
Damn, if such a possibility does exist then a battle against such a BT-user could cost Border dearly! o.oAll in all I liked episode 11 a lot. The new little extras made the flashback more worthwhile than in the manga and it was sad to see Yugo crumble to dust. And man, if I had been in Yuuma's shoes I would have been traumatised from such an experience... it's sad that he wanted to revive his father just to realize that even Border has no way to revive the dead. Having to live with the knowledge that you will soon die/die in a couple years and that there's no way you will ever see your father again to ask him that one question...damn.
I liked how they added that Yuuma sees something from his father in Osamu, it explains why Yugo went so far to fight in a war to help a friend out as well as why Yuuma liked to be around Osamu, because he was honest about wanting to help others and had no ulterior motive behind it but just that very reason. But man, that episode will give those Osamu x Yuuma fangirls a loooooot of stuff to make even more doujinshis off. Father complex and all that stuff. XDThe little pauses were okay, nothing was glaring or outright "oh my gawd, I wanna die instead of watching this crap" or maybe I am already too used to Toei's style. XD
Honestly though I found this episode to be quite nicely done, especially the little fight sequences were good for me and felt fluid enough. If they can keep up a similar style for the whole invasion arc or make it even better, then by all means, gimme that!^^Dawww, Chika's voice's so cute~ <3
Osamu's blush and being frozen was a bit more than in the manga, but I don't mind. XD
And next episode KONAMI, finally! 8D
Huh, no chibi ending? Weird, I thought this would be about neighbor nations but I guess they gonna keep that part till we get the four nations introduced that are around earth for that time being. What made me wonder was how Spintale was able to do a campaign on Kariwari for 3 years given the planetary rotation. Did they had sent an army with food and stuff there who etablished a stronghold and gave it supplies over the years till they gave up? It clearly was no raid invasion like Aftokrator did with Mikado City but a conquer quest.
Well, maybe we will read about that in the manga, I sure hope so.Now about the manga, RAW chapter 88 is out too!
! We get Sakurako as our main host again. Guest Commentators are Azuma and Midorikawa. Midorikawa's rumor of 8-2 is immediately questioned and confirmed.
! Suprising both teams, Tamakoma 2nd picked the map City C, which was a map ideal for snipers. Suwa is seething with hate while Arafune's suprised at the unexpected pick.
! Meanwhile with Tamakoma 2nd, Osamu's a nervous wreck from overthinking too much for his first Brank fight but Chika, Yuuma and Usami can calm him down. Usami even makes a joke about how Osamu can't die (as in die for real like it almost happened^^) in this type of battle. XD
! After the match starts, Arafune and Suwa both push for the hill while Tamakoma 2nd decide to rendevous before doing anything else.
! Sasamori nearly eats a headshot if it weren't for Suwa pulling him back.
! A building near Arafune goes BOOM and all three snipers pinpoint and shoot back. However, Yuuma and Osamu are there going layered full guard to protect Chika while she supposed goes for a shootout, forcing Arafune to dodge as Chika blows his building away.
! As Azuma is analyzing the situation, he realizes that Tamakoma 2nd never had the intent to win with a shootout. In the battlefield, Suwa tangles with Arafune. Making the map City C basically made an unsaid truce between Tamakoma 2nd and Suwa since they'd want the snipers of Arafune out of the picture on such a sniper-favored map.
Still, Tamakoma 2 can't kept this shield tactic up for long as sooner or later some of the snipers will be able to shoot through it. Luckily Suwa and co starts hunting the snipers, Suwa wears a Wormbag and manages to ligthly wound Arafune and both are now in a mid-range battle involved.
! Osamu confirms that Arafune is now tangled up with Suwa squad engaging them and gives to the order to turn the fight into a brawl. Yuuma takes this to mean it's his turn to shine.
! Guess next chapter we see a brawl with shots, slashes and flying heads and what not. XD
Given how this chapter went though I don't think Tamakoma 2 will get 8 full points again, looks like either Suwa or Arafune or both will be able to get a point or even two before their teams are finished. I still think that Tamakoma 2 gonna win this battle and thus be able to reach top tier rank of the B teams but that in the next battles they won't be able to get enough points against the powerteams of the B-ranks and are unable to reach the top two positions. Maybe 3 or 4 ot 5th place will be their final one. Which is still amazing for their first B-rank war and considering how new most of their team is to fighting.

Great chapter with some interesting strategies.
Mikumo's team uniforms look great. I hope to see them in color soon.
It's a shame that we will have to wait one month for the next chapter. Fortunately, there is the anime to give me my weekly dose of WT which is reaching the part where this manga became a great one for me. -

It's a shame that we will have to wait one month for the next chapter. Fortunately, there is the anime to give me my weekly dose of WT which is reaching the part where this manga became a great one for me.So the whole month is confirmed? Shame, thought it would be a week or two. But as long as there's the anime, as much as I wished it would be faster paced, I'll manage. Plus with BokuHero, Assclass, Haikyuu!, Boku Girl and whatnot there are enough mangas to read till WT gets a new chapter.^^
I liked how Mikumo's team managed to keep individuality while still having some sort of team familarities. Yuuma still looks pretty "Neighbory with his outfit and Chika very cute with her sniper one. Osamu's pretty much the same as before, expect maybe one or two tiny details. If Usami was the one who thought up the design then she got good taste, at least in my opinion. It wasn't superfancy, superweird, supercool outfits like you could expect from Bleach, One Piece, Old Naruto or now BokuHero but it fits its theme and its Tamakoma branch very nicely. :) -
Can anyone take a screenprint of their new uniforms ?
-
The reason for the non-magazine break is because of Ashihara's health.
-
Can anyone take a screenprint of their new uniforms ?
You mean like this?
You could make a better one yourself though: http://www.dm5.com/m183936/#ipg8
This page got what you're looking for?^^@Galaxy:

Third time WT takes a break due Ashihara's health. Makes me worry that he's working too much/hard or that he got something serious. :/
-
I think he meant like this..
-
^Yeah, that looks much more impressive. :D
Since we got no new raw this week, and not for the next ones either, I gonna speak about the 12th episode of WT anime:
KONAMI!!!!! <3
The end of my reviewXD
Seriously though, I liked it quite a bit, mostly to finally seeing my fav female chara of WT in the anime.^^
Rie's voice fit Konami better than I expected. I had a bit deeper and more "mature" voice in mind when reading the manga, but hearing it now, the more "childish" and higher voice fits Konami really well, given her naive and guilble nature as well as her anger mismanagement and her love for battle. Kinda like an older Kagura. XDYotarou got much more screentime in the anime than in the manga, then again we do see Yotarou a lot where you would not expect a kid of his age in the manga as well, like an conference for example. Like a mascott that's everywhere.^^
Tamakoma branch got a good vibe, very free-spirit and friendly so to say. You can't compare that atmosphäre to Miwa and Kido. XD
Glad we finally got Konami, my fav girl from WT <3, it took us 12 episodes but she's here and I hope that some of the "anime only stuff" Ashihara had to cut to get to a certain arc quicker will be about or with her.
Yuuma and Konami seem to be pretty similar with each other from what I gather, expect ofc the guilbe nature of Konami. Both are very strong, got many years of experience as warriors, love to battle, are pretty disrespectful, etc. Like the master so the student. :P
On the other hand you look at Reiji and Chika and you are like: Giant and dwarf. XD
Chika being able to shot the entire day and STILL be able to continue seriously impressed Reiji. Guess he cannot do that despite his A-rank and skill. Shows how incredible Chika's trion is though it also shows why Neighbors would want to have such a trion in their hands. Imagine Chika as a battery straped onto a trion made siege weapon, shooting huge deathrays all day long onto some fortress - that's like a gamechanger on a lot of battles for any neighbor country in possession of Chika! And then Torimaru/Karasuma and Osamu….. yeeeeah, still weak. XD
Then again, THIS is realistic as only a couple days/weeks have passed since Osamu and Yuuma got to know each other. Nobody gets superstrong in such a amount of time. Even Deku from BnH needed a "gift" from AM to truly get heroic power plus he had a couple months time and a giant training plan during it, Osamu just met his AM/trainer/mentor so to say. Can't wait for Osamu to learn more and get stronger though, with Torimaru one of the few A-ranks Border got it should be possible, even for a normie like Osamu. Was a bit surprised to hear a female voice from the away team. Guess that's the voice of the one we heard the name of in the manga but had yet to see her. I think she was the leader of an A team? I hope this means that we either do get to see her in the next 38 episodes or that there are plans to show her up later once she gets shown in the manga - which would mean another season after this one.
Then again, a 2nd season of WT would be too good to be true as that would mean more safe time for Wt to continue till chapter 200 and beyond, so I better do not get my hopes up.I mean, we still haven't heard anything about WT's performance in TV ratings and such, so I have to guess it is not doing so well. :/
Looks like Toei's plan to make WT a children shounen show wasn't a success. <.<Oh well, I for one gonna try my best to enjoy the remaining season of WT and it looks like next episode will have a bit better animation quality though it probably is just the introduction before the intern-Border battle between HQ and Tamakoma begins.^^
-

Looks like Toei's plan to make WT a children shounen show wasn't a success. <.<Right now the ratings that we see are only the TOP 10, so it doesn't in any way means that a series isn't doing well when it doesn't appears in there.
For examples of series that don't appear on it and are doing or were doing amazing are:- Naruto,
- Digimon Xros War/Fusion
- Saint Seiya Omega
- Hunter x Hunter
- Space Brother
- Nanatsu no Taizai
…
With hundreds of anime titles there is no way that not appearing in TOP 10 automatically make somebody guess a series is not doing well.
Also, the slot that World Trigger have never got an anime in Top 10! Obviously that is not what the TV Channel is looking for that slot(Well if it could do that good they wouldn't mind though :P).I heard that 50 episodes is just a placeholder that is found in the site of the anime of World Trigger. Nothing was really announced that the series will be only 50 episodes. Given that in that same slot Saint Seiya Omega, that never got in Top 10 in ratings, got a second season ending up with 97 episodes, I don't think is unimaginable that the same happens with World Trigger.
-
Fucking Toei. They've been adding in useless filler and the scenes just feel sooooo weird. WHY WON'T THEY STOP THE MADNESS???!?!?!?!?

Actually, no. On IMDb, it has an 8.8 (out of 10) rating; a 4.07 (out of 5) on the WT wiki; and a 3.875 (out of 5) on Crunchyroll. Regardless, I still want it to have better art and animation, primarily because this is a sci-fi series that needs it. I hope they're saving up for between the top teams and Jin and Arashiyama Unit to look AMAZING.
