Chapter 772: Cabbage & Romeo

any news about the raw?

A supernova is any pirate that has reached Sabody with a 100+ million bounty.
Caribo is a supernova, Cavendish was a supernova from 3years ago.
I'm not against it, but going further Luffy, Zoro aaand probably Kidd and Law too were over 100 millions way longer before reaching Shabahody, So I would say that to be considered as a supernova means to become the most notorious as possible the earliest as possible as well.
That said, Sanji and BellaFodder didn't reach 100 earlier thus not being able to be supernovas no more. -
That doesn't make sense because 2 of those 11 guys don't have their own crews.
Basically, Zoro and Killer wouldn't need to be singled out along with the the Captains because they're part of Luffy and Kid's crews too.
Ok with your reasoning let me ask you a question. If Luffy and Zoro alone are part of Worst generation then what generation would you categorize Sanji, Franky, USOPP and the rest of the crew?

Every new pirate even if you have more than 100 million bounty in first half of Grandline is considered as a rookie but when you reach the end of the first Grandline which is Sabody, then you get "Super" added to your "rookie" which will make you a supernova to prove to others your an exception among other rookies.

It those makes sense. You have Killer and Zoro who are part of the Supernovas because they had 100+ before reaching SA, but those same two guys are part of the worst generation by default because they are part of a group of pirates that create chaos everywhere they go.
They are called the Worst GENERATION for a reason, generation applies to everyone inside that circle, once the circle is created you cannot get in or out of it.
You have Caribou and Bartolomeo who are called supernovas because they reached SA with 100+, but you don't see them getting any other titles besides that one because that title is unique and only serves to represent a certain group of pirate crews or Year in which a Pirate crew first appeared.

Come up on Jan 15 buddy

They're crewmembers of 2 members of the Worst Generation.
Like you said, a generation is not defined by one person, but you somehow think that 12 different people are one person.
I think you're making the mistake of thinking that a generation has to include everybody from a certain period, but that's not the case at all. A generation can just include people from a specific category (11 SA Supernovas + Teach).
Those are Oda's words relayed through Brownbeard. 11 SA Super Rookies + Blackbeard. I don't know why you're being so adamant at not acknowledging that.
They are called the Worst GENERATION for a reason, generation applies to everyone inside that circle, once the circle is created you cannot get in or out of it.
You're making the same mistake.
It those makes sense. You have Killer and Zoro who are part of the Supernovas because they had 100+ before reaching SA, but those same two guys are part of the worst generation by default because they are part of a group of pirates that create chaos everywhere they go.
Zoro and Killer were singled out from both their crews and their Captains. They stand on their own.
So yeah, they're not Worst Generation by default.

It doesn't matter how long you have it but you have to have 100+ million bounty and reach Sabody, you know the island where your ship gets coated before you enter new world?
It does matters, the higher your bountie is the more effort the marines will put on chase their butts. some of them reached 100 a long ago and had been dealing with Vice Admirals, Buster Calls, Admirals and stuff like that, is not just killing innocents and going straight to Shabahody, it's also avoiding and surviving all of the danger that having a bountie over 100 implies, but again BellaFodder is been a pirate for a while, he isn't considered as a supernova because he didn't reached the 100 earlier on his way and neither managed to get Shabahondy.
soo, even if Sanji reaches 100, he still can't be considered a supernova as BellaFodder's case, which it was the discussion round here.

they just got in the NW, give them some time at least, Cabbage would have been a better example, he's even dealing with the frustration of losing the spotlight lol
-
@DARK_RITUAL and @Shadowgreed that's means that the fodders in Hawkins's crew are members of the Worst Generation too?
-
You're making the same mistake.
Mistake is now considered making sense out of something that to my understanding was so obvious that it really wasn't.

Brownbeard's words are not obvious enough?
11 SA Supernova + Blackbeard seems very easy to understand. You are the ones being too literal about the definition of "generation" (despite DR calling me out for being "literal").
-

They won't get a title it doesn't matter how long they last, but is cool that you brought Cavendish to the equation, the guy is said to be powerful and holds Durandal in his possession, but you don't see people referring to him with a title (Not like they come up a lot), either way after this generation is done there won't be anyone standing anyway.

They get it by default.

This post is deleted!

They get it by default.
This doesn't really make sense as it goes against what the manga told us.
-
He was kind of ignored by world goverment while he is not only fighter that in my opnion should be considered on par with Supernovas(Zoros rival, he fought pretty evenly with Vergo, will very likely do something great soon) but also tactic mind of crew.
.
But heey!, look at the bright side!, Sanji's not being considered as a bigger threat for the WG gives the SH's a secret weapon on their crew

Yes, they are so obvious that a kitty could understand the meaning behind it.
11 Pirate Crews met at Sabaody 2 years ago, 9 of those crews had one person with a bounty of 100+ while the other two had two persons with 100+, BUT THEY MET AS A CREW and not as an individual entity, those Eleven guys ALONE does not conform a GENERATION, they + their CREW does.
-
They get it by default.
BB and the 11 Supernovas made a lot of efforts to achieve that while the fodders can get it by default. Fair enough.
-

11 Pirate crews didn't meet at Sabaody 2 years ago. There were only 9. See how even you guys can commit mistakes?
Zoro and Killer stand on their own as Worst Generation members. They're not there by default.
Brownbeard defined those 11 guys + Blackbeard as the worst generation. It would be terribly unfair if some unnamed guys were associated with the Worst Generation despite not earning the title like Zoro or Killer did.
You are the ones arguing against Oda here. Please, don't make me repeat what I've been saying in the last 2-3 pages.
-
This doesn't really make sense.
I'm a soldier that joined the Army in 2020 along side 100 more people, 20 of those people made a big rukus in an enemy base while the other 80 didn't collaborate during that incident but were present, but now they are referring to the guys who joined in 2020 as "The mad men", does that tittle applied to me despite me not being one of those 20 people?
-

Actually, 12 guys are enough to make a Generation.
-
BB and the 11 Supernovas made a lot of efforts to achieve that while the fodders can get it by default. Fair enough.
They would have not gotten the title of Supernova If they were working alone, this is a team effort.
-
They would have not gotten the title of Supernova If they were working alone, this is a team effort.
In that case, why not call them Supernova crews, instead of just singling out the +100 Million guys?
-

Not as bad as the once you are making right now that's for sure.
Zoro and Killer stand on their own as Worst Generation members. They're not there by default.
SO does every single member of the pirate crews.
Brownbeard defined those 11 guys + Blackbeard as the worst generation. It would be terribly unfair if some unnamed guys were associated with the Worst Generation despite not earning the title like Zoro or Killer did.
They have a title that defines them as individuals which is 'SUPERNOVAS' and they also have one that defines them as a crew 'WORST GENERATION'.
You are the ones arguing against Oda here. Please, don't make me repeat what I've been saying in the last 2-3 pages.
Ohh like I haven't been saying the same thing over and over gain, how glamorous!

They would be commiting the mistake of generalization.
It's like saying that all Germans during World War II were Nazis.
-
In that case, why not call them Supernova crews, instead of just singling out the +100 Million guys?
Wow just Wow. The Supernovas are the Heads and Sub-heads of a crew, we have seen this countless times by now, but here it is; why would Oda name them individually 'Supernovas' and then rename them individually again 'Worst Generation'?
-
Teach is pretty much Zoidberg.
-
They would be commiting the mistake of generalization.
It's like saying that all Germans during World War II were Nazis.
So they are also committing a mistake by calling something how they see it.
-
They have a title that defines them as individuals which is 'SUPERNOVAS' and they also have one that defines them as a crew 'WORST GENERATION'.
They're not Supernovas anymore. Supernova is a term given to any pirate who manages to achieve a bounty of over 100 Million before the New World.
The Worst Generation is the 11 Supernovas that met at Sabaody Archipelago 2 years ago + Blackbeard. Those are Oda's words. Nothing about crews.
-
Razh - I think we need agony thread.
So many more days and we will eat each other just to get some kicks for discussion lol

Because more Supernovas like Bartolomeo and Cavendish who were separated from the specific 11 SA ones were appearing in the story.
But he still needed a term for the 11 specific SA Supernova group (+ Blackbeard), so he came up with Worst Generation. Oda pretty much told us that through Brownbeard, but you're making a big deal about the term "generation".
I'm also done with this.
-
You know what, I'm done!
Hahaha finally gave up…. I don't think these are the type of people you argue with, if Oda doesn't say it in manga then you're probably wasting your time to convince them otherwise.

That's why I don't argue with Magi.

Oda said it in the manga:
11 Supernovas + Blackbeard = Worst Generation.
What is there to argue about, besides alternate definitions of a word?
Still haven't answered my question. What generation are Sanji and the rest of the crew?
I think you're making a really big deal about the term "Generation".

So now you guys are done with that, have a minute to talk about Cabbage?? our lord and savior!
So, I just realized that I was wrong about something, I was wrong about believing the full of spades wins against full of aces only in the spanish playing cards, actually I just find out that in the english playing cards game known as Bridge, also the full of spades is the highest hand you could have.
Law and Doula(Once Issho stopped bullying Law) they started their fight on the Bridge, which is what they're playing if all this battle is a playing cards game.

Someone is going to mess up your hand
-
Someone is going to mess up your hand
they all are going to silently agree by the end of the arc, Oda didn't give Luffy a hand full of spades which wins against full of aces to end up not using it.

I think I made a spoiler support thread almost a year ago but it was deleted/moved, don't know.
And yeah, KC is already calling people Naruto fanboys. Next week should be fun!
-
Damn it, slept through the argument. I'm not convinced one way or another, but I wanted to point out that Supernova is a time sensitive achievement whereas Worst Generation is a grouping. I'd guess that a rookie is anyone who is still in their first year on the GL, so in order to be a Supernova you have to reach SA as a rookie with a bounty over 100 million. However, we'll see fewer and fewer people referred to as Supernovas as time goes on because it becomes outdated. For instance, Bartolomeo IS a Supernova while Luffy and Cavendish WERE Supernovas. I think that "Worst Generation" was invented to describe the Eleven Supernovas after we stop caring that they were once supernovas.
As for Sanji, I tend to think of the nine SN captains in three tiers:
Luffy, Kid, Law
Drake, Apoo, Hawkins
Bonney, Uruoge, BegeSanji can probably fight on par with the second tier. He'll still never be a Supernova, though, because the time for that has passed.
-
I never considered Supernova anything more than a nickname for the Eleven at that time. I can't remember if it was even used in story. If it was, it was certainly never used by anyone but Shakky when describing them to Luffy. Worst Generation, meanwhile, is more official, having been coined and used by the general public.

Nothing about Naruto fanboys. You argument just reminded me of similar ones that can be found there.
Mostly from versus threads.

I'm just joking, not taking such exchanges seriously.

He doesnt. Maybe for somebody who doesnt think through in detail what happened on PH.[/QUOTE
Facts are facts and Sanji couldn't handle Vergo in the long run.
-
@MJR.:
Facts are facts and Sanji couldn't handle Vergo in the long run.
This is far from a fact.
Between the shortness of their encounter, lack of either of them using their best moves and Vergo's plot armour (needing to look strong until he was fed to Law) we really don't know what would happen in a full fight between the two.
-
Though I can't help but wonder what the point of that broken bone even was. It was just brushed off with seemingly no consequence in the long run. Sanji is running, jumping and kicking as lively as ever. And Vergo's toughness could have been demonstrated in other ways.
Unless Oda plans to turn the wound into a complication later on, which results in Sanji losing a leg or some shit.

I guess when somebody with 4 shiny stars says something, I should shut up lol

I can't see it being anymore than a hype tool for Vergo at the time, but who knows.

Haha, I'm just saying that we really don't have enough information to make a statement like that.
Especially when Vergo was being built up just for Law to be built over the top of him seemingly.
-
wouldn't be healthy for the series that other captains have subordinates at least stronger than sanji? NW is gonna be shit if even Sanji can deal with everyone on their way to Raftel.

I really think people are underestimating Bege, Bonney and Urouge.
Bege's DF seems to be able to shrink anyone who gets close enough to him (interpretation).
Bonney's fruit is Hancock-levels of overpowered.
Urouge, after taking enough damage, was able to toss a Pacifista around, something none of the Straw Hats were able to do alone.
It really tells something when somebody like Cavendish, who has a superpowered split personality, still gets overshadowed by them.
