It seems people are forgetting that Juha's name is now Yhw.
Bleach Discussion 0: Hello Darkness my old friend

-
Sounds dumb.^^ I'm gonna call him Juha or Bach, or Juha Baha. xD
-
Juha is soup in Croatian. Which is something I have a trouble imagining someone with those kind of mustaches eating.

He can just shave it and grow it back real quick by killing a few of his closest and most trusted supporters. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Thanks, now all I can imagine is this.

Lol, you're welcome. Check out the new color page, btw:
http://imgbox.com/kU2fBYSc Spoiler is out, but it's too boring to post.

About fucking time. Now we're getting some real fighting between the 2 of them….and he releases his shikai right at the end, which was pretty sick... and he used some kido as well which is a bloody miracle.
-
Dare I say I kinda enjoyed this chapter.^^ What is going oooon? xD Not going to last, but it was nice to see a somewhat interesting fight choreography again. The monk ultimately will die though or just get knocked out.
-
Not bad, nice choreography and art.
But Kubo is still SO DAMNED KUBO.
"Huh, you think you got me? Learn your place, fool. I GOT YOU!"
"Tch. . .for real, you thought you got me? Poor little idiot. I've got you!"
"Don't make me laugh, you really thought you got me? I've got you since the beginning!"
"Ahhh. . .you really want me to get you good this time, right?".
It's like a fucking competition of who's smugger and cockier and pettier than the other. So very Kubo.

its a battle of the 2 leaders…..

Man, when was the last time we saw an even fight in Bleach? Usually Kubo's idea of "even" is making a character stomping his enemy and then reverting the situation on the last page and keep turning tables until the fight is over. Seems like forever since he did a chapter like this one, so I actually liked it.
-
In it's unreleased form, his sword is a brush, but when released, the brush hair is a blade instead. Ok.

God of Highschool had an awesome parody of these kind of situations.
The fight is above Bleach average, though. Still, that doesn't say much.
-
It felt like Sasuke versus Itachi all over again.
"I got you!" "Fool you are in my trap" "No! You are in my trap". Repeat ad infinitum. -
At first, I thought the title meant that we were going to get the true master of one of the sides coming out, but it was more just two masters of gloating gloating at each other. One thing that interested me was that it said color page for the climax of the final arc. So does that mean we are getting to the last few fights before the next long somethingcide?
Beyond that, I just could not give a crap about anything this chapter.

Come on Franky, it is actually a good fight by Bleach standarts. At least it was entertaining.
The dialogue sucked though, but the fight is fun.I never expected Juha to provide me some entertainment, so this is definitly an advance.

That's the thing, I should be saying the fight was decent enough, but I can't. I've just become so apathetic towards the series as a whole, that I can't care whether it's good or bad. That's how bad Bleach has become. Also, there has been no build up this arc, that I don't have a reason to care. However, I choreography was good overall, and I smirked a little bit at what happened.

Does anybody remember if the Hollow antibody or something akin to that was referenced at all during Masaki's hollow contamination?
Well i remember that Ichigo's dad had lose his power to fix her which sealed the hollow stopping it from doing any more damage inside her so close enough.
-
If the anime still existed, then this fight would make for some excellent reaction gifs.

Relevant.

One thing about Bleach that just came to mind as a result of this fight - why do characters not use their Bankais (or whatever their ultimate ability is, since that depends from group to group) right away? Usually when that question comes up in other series, there's some sort of limit on what characters can do (whether it's energy, like ki or chakra, or the technique can be harmful if prolonged, like Kaio Ken or Gear Second), but Bankai doesn't have any kind of drawback.
Just one more thing that doesn't make sense about Bleach, I suppose, but when the bald bearded guy is fighting to prevent Juha Bach from destroying all of existence or whatever he's trying to do, you'd think he'd go all out, especially since they've figured out a way to negate the Bankai theft.
-
"Blutvene Anhaben"
Ahahaha. Bleach is terrible, but it does make me laugh every once in a while. Oh man.
-
I cannot lie, I enjoyed that chapter. I hope this keeps up.
-
-
@Purple:
Don't worry. It won't.
Its the royal guard, I expect the quality of battles will be better than what we've had so far…..

The old man hasn't been taking this fight seriously for some reason.

If everyone came out swinging with their biggest weapon right away there would be absolutely no build up in the fight. The writer starts at a measured pace and as the fight advances the fighters bring out the more powerful weapons/techniques in their repertoire so the reader's excitement level rises with the escalating scale of fighting, and they can also see how the opponent reacts and what they counteract with.
Secondly, the opponents first sizing each other up by testing the others strengths and weaknesses before bringing out their trump card makes sense in a "testing the waters" kind of way. You don't play your trump card at the beginning of the hand because you don't know if you even need it or not. Of course, there have been fights where there have been demonstrated exceptions and it really all depends on how strong or weak you see your opponent as. Seeing as how the Quincy just stomped Soul Society it would make you wonder why they don't just start off with their Bankai, but then you have to remember that the Royal Guard is haughtily above even Soul Society so they're pretty much full of themselves.

I liked it better when he was just painting things. That was a guy I could get behind. Now i dunno what he's doing or what his ability even is.

He is still painting and stuff even in this chapter, but apparently in mid air and really fast…hence that "hidden hadou" he did.....and i assume its going to be some super enhanced version of w.e it is he is doing now.....

Thanks for replying, Purple Hermit and hover.
The fight itself isn't bad this time, but it reeks of pointlessness. Can't say it was entertaining either due to lot of 'NO U' in single fight. It's very 'Bleach' way of showing two people are equal in strength.
In hindsight, Yamamoto was the biggest moron in the galaxy for letting someone as game-breaking as Yhwach live.

To be fair, we don't know what actually happened….1000 years ago...or how he failed to kill/let him get away....
-
Reading this chapter kinda reminded me of the days when my little brother and I had our fantasy matches where we invented bullshit op powers outta nowhere to beat each other up. LIke "I halved your powers" "guess what, i got a power that can ignore that", "I got a supershield nothing can pirce through"," Bah, I got a skill to blow it away", etc and etc. XDDD

Kubo missed the chance to show tiny glimpses of flashback related to that before Yamamoto bit the dust, while underlining his regrets for letting Yhwach live. What a wasted opportunity.

XD that's a perfect portrayal of this chapter. In the end, the fight goes nowhere until one side gets bored and loses on purpose.

There is plenty of time to show a flashback to the events of a 1000 years ago….

What exactly was entertaining? Cause all I'm seeing is the jobber hyping himself getting jobbed up.
He's the guy who's here to act tough so other characters can wreck him when they're introduced thus proving to the rest of us how amazing they are.
-
Wouldn't it be funny if Ichigo came and Yhwach was defeated, for real. And then the series just ends.
-
@God:
What's so funny about that?
Jabra is German I think.

Tashigi without inferiority complex?
-

You have to understand this is entertaining by Bleach standards.
-
Bleach has standards?
-
They go from 0 to 9.
-
When did you think that standards have to be real numbers?

Because even though it's obvious that's what's going to happen, we might as enjoy it while it lasts.
-
@Purple:

Tsukushima-san told me a long time ago. We're childhood friends and he would never lie to me.
-
@Purple:

Bleach is judged on the three basic standards of Threeve, Eleventy, and Glorg. As for this chapter, I'd say it was a solid Glorg. Maybe a Glorg and a Gloog.
-

I guess so.
It's just that we're at the point where this pattern is overly simple and repetitive, it's become boring and unexciting. You don't even need half a brain to come up with something like this, even worse, Kubo is dragging this shit.
One upping your opponent in a melee fight is understandable, but it's how drawn out the power reveal is that makes bleach bad. If it was pure sword fighting (like what some of ichigo's fights are at times), it would be okay. But with all the conceptual effects and other shit some characters have it's just a fucking chore to read. Whip out your best single target move and use it, if that fails use your aoe spell since no one seems to care about collateral damage to land or buildings.
-
If only Kubo could add a little, tiny bit of effort to explain what those in the Soul King Palace, and Bach himself can actually do. If they can shoot blasts from their swords, then say so. Like, "My sword is called the fire sword, hence the reason why it shoots fire blasts and other fire related techniques."
Just to explain it, b/c the way it's going right now - it's, "Oh, my sword is a brush, so even if you can do that, I can do this." "Oh, but now that you did that, watch this." "Okay, but then I'll counter and do this." All out of the blue.
-
these fights would be better animated , some things aren't that clear
