the one how kill Corazon is just Law Cora Corazon himself for law ..
so Law don t blme Don to do what any ather captin do to the traitor
Chapter 767: Cora-san
-
-
great chapter..flashback inside a flashback
-
he either gave him a gun or the ito-ito no mi.probably the first though
I would bet on both - gun and later also Devil Fruit power.
Doflamingo seems to be young Master and Trebol most likely is previous/old Master.
This makes Trebol to be
Of this manga with difference of Doffy being on dark side from the start lol -
Beautiful chapter… Goddammit this onions!
-
AoHige wrote SnotOzzy… Could it be that Trebol is based on Ozzy Osbourne? I thought yet he was based on ZZ Top. With Diamante based on Steven Tyler I guess Pika is based on Glenn Danzig (he was really ripped though).
Really sad chapter. But I still don't get Jinbe's cover Story. The last 3 Pictures Show him staring at empty places (and I guess the Kanjis on the Wood-plate mean Sea-God or God of Sea).
Doffy using a gun to kill People is a remnant of a CD-Thing. He knows his roots!
-
I just noticed the donquixote flag already has the crossed out smiley, so its not about corazon
Seems like there is deeply rooted hate for Ds in Mingo. Thats why he has crossed out smile on flag.
Flasback didnt touched upon it yet, maybe its not over. We will see. -
2 different shades(look closely at the shape), 2 different persons!
!
Does their boss looks like a 16 years old to you? I thought so too! probably Trébol's dad or something. The one at corner with the rounded shade talking about the 'power' is most probably Trébol himself. -
Trebol being the former Boss makes sense if you look at the Dining Panel. Trebol sits next to Doffy whereas Cora sits on the side along with Dia and Pika and the other officers.
-
Beautifully written and drawn again.
Really shook me emotionally with the 'I Love You', is this the first serious one?
Love the last page the most, Law's cries, 'Calm' being broke as Roci died, drowned in the sound of the explosions.
My favourite flashback for sure. And what's the missing thing with Jinbei?

The only Thing different is the perspective. The top right Panel Shows Trebol from below (he is lookin down to the reader). The Panel top left Shows him from the front. A circle-shape Looks elliptic from not a straight angle. A circle from the front Looks like a circle.
-
And then world would be a better place for it, if people like Doffy would be sternly magma fisted :ninja:
You're still confusing legal with right, that's the big plothole.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Dude doffy dresses like a proper pimp.
I prefere hoes ;)

Trebol based on H. Fonda ?

ROCINANTE, LAW, I LOVE YOUUUU
Oda does it again :cwy:
-
! It wasn't appropriate, so he didn't use it
Well we kind of also didnt gotten confirmation on Machvise devil fruit and also Lao G almost certainly seems to be DF user and we gotten nothing on it.
All of other people from crew are users and in this chapter we gotten to know that Trebol seems to be "old master" and asks Doffy if he should give him power for revenge. He seems to be DF user already judging by his snots lol so if he was first generation boss then Doffy simply continues his business on black market and Devil Fruit deals.
There should be nothing weird if whole crew would end up as DF users and only Dellinger would be half fishman(or some animal-mimic kind of devil fruit who knows). Also bastard like Vergo should not get a death with a smile but some cruel fate should be his life. Like he would be in midget form for rest of his life - like Luffy pre TS after using gear third. Something else than just "he smiled and was blown up".
Oda has to explain him somehow surviving- getting really screwed up in some way - and some DF would make sense. -

If these shades and this are one and the same?
After a second look, they maybe the same person :P but damn he looks way older than a 16 years old. -
Damn ninjas, chopping onions in my room…
Doesn't feel like this is it. There could be more stuff about Dofla. Maybe it will be in another flashback, lol.
I guess "Corazon is alive" theories can be laid to rest now.
-
-
If these shadeshttp://i.imgur.com/1UFfdwl.jpg and thishttp://i.imgur.com/WwQp5KZ.jpg are one and the same?
He put them on, Horatio Caine style.
Shall I give you the power… for revenge.
YEEEEAHHHHH!
-
the one how kill Corazon is just Law Cora Corazon himself for law ..
so Law don t blme Don to do what any ather captin do to the traitorDoula didn't have to kill him, you know. Could just have made him a prisoner or something.
He also technically betrayed Rosi first by killing their father.
Also, people like Luffy would never kill traitors. Same for Whitebeard. Shanks too.
-
My body was made ready for this chapter so no tears were shed. I also am really interested in Drake's inclusion, if that is indeed X Drake.
-
Technically, Doula betrayed Rosi first by killing their father.
It also doesnt seem like Doffy had any plans of bringing Rocinante with him back to mariejois…

After a second look, they maybe the same person :P but damn he looks way older than a 16 years old.no,but a person can change glasses if those two scenes didn't happen at the same moment.
that nose and that snot it's definitely trebol in both cases -
2 different shades(look closely at the shape), 2 different persons!
it's the perspective that's different, the first one is from bottom looking upward (child perspective?), so the glasses are drawn according to that. the latter is frontal, so they are round shaped.
i don't understand all the fuss about that panel, there's the nose with fluid hanging, the nose's shape it's consistent too, the mouth (almost covered but still exposed).
maybe i'm wrong but i don't see a new character in that moment to be introduced, just to say one thing and then disappear. even if oda explain that later it doesn't make sense, oda is so precise in introducing people (i'm not thinking about df powers), always giving the right context to new characters, why in the world he would have introduced a new character so similar to trebol out of nowhere? and beside that, who other else could be at this point of the story? -
Still do not get that line and who could have said it… I hope Aohige may clear it up
-

sorry read right after replying. you already said it :)

I don't even understand why you're confused about anything. I mean seriously.
Trebol (or someone that reaaaally looks like him) said Do you wish me to give you the "power" to exact revenge?
I mean the speech bubble even has it pointing to his face. Twice. You know, the only face in the panel. -
If these shadeshttp://i.imgur.com/1UFfdwl.jpg and thishttp://i.imgur.com/WwQp5KZ.jpg are one and the same?
After a second look, they maybe the same person :P but damn he looks way older than a 16 years old. There is Trebol's trademark snot in both frames, he have same face in both frames, it woudln't make sense to have 2 different persons in those 2 connected frames. More like perspective + those glasses don't seem to be finished on second frame anyway(no framework).
But, if those are in fact 2 different people, then it's even bigger mistake from Oda, because we "can't recognize this second person and have no info about him". Unless you expect for further flashbacks to come to verify identity of this "second person"…

Can someone please explain me why everyone knows for sure Dory is X Drake?
ThanksPS: Hope it wont be a new "he's sabo"(Drake) trend…
-
it's all part of the stop snitching campaign, but if we keep going justifying mingo, at this rate, we will see dd for nakama post soon.
after bellamy, anything can happen
-
Very cool chapter. Frankly I'd read a spin off series of the Dofla family rise to power. How they all joined and things like Pink's change of style or the true story of Monet are just as fascinating as our main crew.
Such a dense, rewarding narrative this flashback has turned out to be; Dofla killed his dad and then Sengoku raised Roci. And maybe Drake and Law?
It seems from the Movie Z marines poster even Bepo has links. It's funny, when Law's crew were first shown with Penguin & the other guy I though 'huh, Oda's designed them like marines'. Seems he was hiding the point in plain sight.
I don't think Law is a marine, but that golden bastard's fingers are appearing all over the place. I'm actually starting to feel sorry for Sakazuki. His predecessor looks like he's left him completely in the dark on multiple long-term plots. -

there's plenty of explanations in the previous thread, in brief: x on the chin, X on the name spelled diez, like the name of barrels, the romanized version of drake abbreviated it's dory, like doffy for dd
-

Because his "X" scar is clearly visible in this weeks chapter and Dorry for Drake is same as Doffy for Doflamingo.
Mostly because of that we are certain(even as I thought that it might be Bellamy..oh well). As for Bellamy many people probably didnt seen it but I like crazy stuff like this
Roci had a family before he went back undercover. Maybe he had a son who only saw that his dad was a member of Dofla's crew but not the circumstances?
What's the official term for nephew-cide anyway?Have to check on Rosinantes age and Bellamys as well to see if it would fit in timeline :ninja:
-

I guess because of the x shaped scar on his chin AND that they call him Dory which is most likely a nickname for Drake.

I wonder why for Oda, shooting people seems to be the method of traumatic murder. Not so much punching, or slicing, but taking a gun and firing is more of a murder method to him.
-
Power of revenge was referring to the Kings Haki since Doffy doesn't know how to use it yet, he thought that Trebol stole it from him
Ah, thanks for pointing that out. I didn't make the connection the first time.

Trébol looked even younger at Age 33 than this supposedly 16/18 self -

Its colder and less personal kind of thing.
If somebody is simply put down like an animal its even more of disrespect for that person in a way. Japanese people not very long way ago thought of death by sword as honorable, beating somebody to death is bit much for shonen I think also those One Piece characters are hella durable and given how many shots it took to kill for example Whitebeard he would have to be beaten for a month to die
Shooting somebody seems to be just cruel act of taking away life. Look at Diamante and him taking out gun to kill Rebbeca after he killed Scarlet like running animal.
There is no honour or dignity in that kind of execution.Marines for example seem to give person some honour when it comes to execution, Ace was about to be killed in a way that gave him some dignity(close to samurai death I think but I am no specialist so thats how i see it for now even if its bullshit for some japan-samurai-specialist ).

Thanks for the answer guys.
Still the only connection to me is the x on his chin that is partially on shadow so we are not sure it's actually a x scar or just a shadow…
Plus Dory and Drake does not sound like Doffy and DD to me... Maybe it has something to do with the Japanese language... I do not know :)
Thanks again guys! -
Power of revenge was referring to the Kings Haki since Doffy doesn't know how to use it yet, he thought that Trebol stole it from him
I thought he meant gun - so Doffy gotten back to his father with a gun and killed him.
Also seems like Trebol might have been the one to give Doflamingo his Devil Fruit- it can be understood differently. Kings haki training wasnt what Trebol said or suggested imoAlso can anybody remember age of Bellamy?
-

Also worth noting X in X Drake is pronounced "Diez" in the japanese version, just like this group of pirates

Power of revenge was referring to the Kings Haki since Doffy doesn't know how to use it yet, he thought that Trebol stole it from him
Pretty sure he was speaking to his father, who was responsible for taking away his Celestial Dragon status.
After all, stealing Haki doesn't really make sense.
-
Now but it confuses me… how Trebol could give him power
He gave him a gun most likely to exact revenge so Doflamingo can kill father.
Its likely that ito ito no mi was also given to Doffy by Trebol who seems to be first master and Doffy is called young master.
So Trebol was first boss of organization that later turned into Doflamingo pirates. -
Doffy shooting important people to death instead of cutting them down is a classic.
Psychopath killers usually tend to kill people following a certain ritual and their victims often represents a substitute of their real target or of their first victim.
In this case Doffy replicates his father murder and Roci is their father substitute. -

Thanks again guys!drake is spellet do-re-i-ku in japanese…so it works perfectly as a nickname for drake.
also both barrels and him are called "diez" -
Additionally, we already knew Drake was from North blue, he was a former marine which fits in with the marines taking him in this chapter, and we know this chapter dorry has some sort of power
-

everybody understand the scenes how they please lol
Bellamy's age hasn't been revealed yet
