@Homezslice:
I need a new manga to pick up my friends… I've been suggested Kingdom, and Animal Land recently and I intend to pick them up but I wanna know what's next.
Some of my favorite manga are One Piece (of course), Zatch Bell, Sengoku Youko, Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer, Samurai Deeper Kyo, Dragon Quest Dai, and Rave Master (gimme a break it was my first manga and I like it for nostalgia purposes)....
So if you have any ideas of manga similar to those, or even ones you think are legit, toss em' my way!
Kingdom alone will keep you busy for a long while. And yes, it's crazy good stuff.
I don't know if you're currently reading them, but here we go:
If you haven't tried Full Metal Alchemist, go for it ASAP. It's one of the best shounen manga out there, so go for it NOW.
Currently, I'm very pleasantly surprised with 7 Deadly Sins; I didn't think I'd take it as seriously as I am, and it is really engaging and pretty damn entertaining and addicting. Try it, it's the kind of fight heavy, crazy adventure manga you seem to enjoy. And hellishly enjoyable it is.
And, if you read it and enjoy it, go for Kongoh Bancho, by the same author. It's great fun, with exaggeration after exaggeration, and it's almost non-stop fighting among superlatively strong beings capable of impossible feats of strength. It's veeeeeery over-the-top in its cheesiness, but it's great, great, GREAT fun.
If you like high school delinquents duking it out in super badass fashion, Crows and Worst are great stuff. Really fun and badass stuff. Not deep in any way, shape or form, but who cares? Characters are epic as all hell, the manliness is impossibly massive, and you'll might even feel like crying once or twice. Seriously good stuff.
And Magi is great too, and probably really close to your tastes. I'm kinda off with the last 15 chapters or so, but everything else is pretty damn good. Good characters, good drama, good world building, good adventure, good fights. . .not much else I can say. Just try it, I doubt you'll be disappointed with it.
I'm also a huge Dorohedoro and Jojo fan, but these are quite weird series, kinda difficult to get into, and definitely NOT straight-forward, action-adventure shonen mangas. But Jojo's parts 1,2 and 3 are quite action-adventure oriented, and very enjoyable (specially part 2, which is probably one of the best things ever made by mankind).
Hope that helped!
