yeah joss whedon reveled in an interview that they are team ultron, which we know has to change at some point, and I'm guessing since Paul Betany said he gets to punch lots of avengers he's similar in that regard too…. wonder if there gonna bring up the wanda vision romance

Since Vision is technically an android I'm assuming Ultron just programs him into a slave or something. Alpha AI to AI or the like.

I do think Falcon is in the movie as a companion to Captain America.

Much like Rhodes will forever be associated with War Machine, Norman will forever be associated with Iron Patriot, even if neither character is currently running under their established alias in the comics or the movies.

and we saw Ultron prototype crush iron patriots head in the trailer..... we even saw Rhodey in the trailer if you pause the scene where everyone gets up to react to Ultron

and I'm very certain I read that Rhodey will be be suiting up with them for the first initial attack on hydra base

He's purely talking about the legacy of the comics. Norman Osborn is Iron Patriot while Rhodes is War Machine.

We know that Rhodes is in the movie but we have no idea to what capacity he will be involved.

so far we've seen her use, telekinesis, and shoot red energy

and my guess is that since banner seems so freaked out, and agents of shield has made such a big deal about their being no psychics in this universe she'll also become the first one, messing with peoples minds and stuff

Just watched the avengers 2 trailer and gotta say that while i am not a huge fan of avengers or superheroes movie in general James Spader playing the role of Ultron simply hyped me the fuck up . Really looking forward to this movie .

Hank Pym, is basically reed richards, a fun adventure loving scientist who gets to into his work and ignores his wife's needs (ugh how horrible it is to have to even write that out)

where as scott lang, you can have a total anti-hero approach as apposed to usual heroes, but you still know deep down he's a good guy (did someone here say thief with a heart of gold, cause if not I'm calling that shit), which are the reason we can have a heist movie and super hero movie mixed into one (they really need to give edgar wright his own alternate universe ant-man comic book series where we can totally see this fleshed out over a good amount of time, instead of two hours he deserves that much… and let's face it, that shit would sell like crazy)

and let's face it, janet, as much as I love her... because for some reason I was obsessed with the avengers even before Bendis awesome run on them, is a terrible character. She's superficial, obsesses over fashion trends, lots of times is seen with enormous shopping bags of clothes. Flirts with every guy available to make her husband jealous, gets weak at the knees when a new hot guy appears, loves to spend spend spend, and constantly portrayed as the weakest character on the team.... for a long long time. She's basically the way men in the 50's and 60's viewed and treated women, I can imagine her being an excellent character on mad men

and while many women characters in marvel at that time had bad portrayals (I'm looking at you jean grey and invisible women) they grew out of it becoming more powerful, and no longer saying things like "oh what would I know I'm just a woman" and blushing like crazy at every new male character who comes in, and while it's been toned down a lot with wasp, she still feels like she's that ideal version of what a sexist man in a begone era thought women should be like

sooooooo... I doubt hope can be much worse than that. Well that's my opinion feel free to rip it to shreds

I didn't realize the dirty, sweaty, bearded guy was Andy Serkis. If so, PLEASE let him be Ulysses Klaw so we can have a tie into Wakanda and (maybe?) a glimpse of Black Panther. C'mon, we gotta have a start to the movie somehow. And I could see Marvel/Joss Whedon just loving keeping the announcement until the opening.

I have no issues with his acting. He's a good actor.
I don't find him attractive, but I don't find that a reason to dislike him.
I don't even care that much about his name (though swirling the name around is fun, because his name is hilarious)

But the amount of horrid fans this man has. HORRID… fans. The movie could be great. The performance could be amazing. But the fan reaction is going to be a massive train wreck of horrible jokes and over-defensive screaming. I dread going to Tumblr even now.

Seriously. Most people here probably know him only from Sherlock, Star Trek, and the voice of Smaug in Hobbit… all three roles where he's playing an arrogant ass (which is a good fit for strange)

Partly because of the Sherlock fangirling on Tumblr has been so oversaturated that it's kinda obnoxious even if it is no fault of the actor. Mostly because it's a fun name to make fun of.

Eggs Benedict Cumberbitch is a good actor even if he's starred in a lot of stuff I hate (Sherlock, Hobbit, Star Trek 2), the actor himself is very good when he's given something to work with so I look forward to his performance.

He was also in Fifth Estate. But no one likes to talk about that trainwreck of a movie. He also starred in a war movie this year playing Alan Turing that's been getting good reviews if you're interested.

I don't know if anyone here's disliking the actor for it….but I do admit I'm pretty iffy about casting or other stuff just because of fan reactions about it. Of course, I'm sure its much worse on other forums, tumblr, etc. which is why I generally don't get involved on that side of things.

Not sure how I feel yet. Cumberbatch is a good actor and he's a big name that will draw fangir– I mean, the casual moviegoer.

It's probably one of the big announcements from Marvel tomorrow.
