@Darth:
See, I would not mind if he decided to go on his own. He is a grown up man, he can make his own choices.
It's him making that choice for his entire family is what bothers me.
well,the wife seemed to be ok with it (but we basically saw her in one panel and that's it)
his sons will do what he wants them to do because they are children,they don't have the age to decide for themselves,and that happens pretty much anywhere..if a father of two lives in the US and finds the work of his dreams but in the filippines ,and decides to accept it,you can be sure he's gonna bring his entire family with him…even his sons, if they like it or not.
actually,parents make decision for their children all the time,it's part of what makes them parents.And i know it's shitty for the children,but that's how it works

@King:
It's that old debate about whether sheltering our kids from the world is a good or bad thing.
Though, if there's a positive side about all this is that Doula eventually became a strong fighter and successful businessman. If it weren't for his father, he would be a lazy mofo in a ridiculous suit and with a stupid hairdo.
and now i want oda to draw a "how would doflamingo look now if he stayed a tenryuubito?"
someone should write an sbs
