I just remembered Sabo's first appearance, he pushed Barto over in a clear gag-scene but still there was people saying he was so overpower he destroyed his barries with his fingers.
Chapter 761: The Ope Ope no Mi
-
-
What's wrong with Hakuba sequence? He sped up, pawned everyone and Rebecca sensed an attack was coming at her head, because that's what Observation Haki allows you to do.
Yet, no one (except Sabo) was able to see anything of that.
In One Piece, super speed is bullshit.

Damn, I planned to start watching X-men: Days of Future Past like an hour ago.
Hakuba wasn't targeting Becca's head, he cuts in the chest, she tried to dodge Haukua to save her breasts.

I remember explaining it to people myself.

Yeah, all those New World veterans and nobody had a clue. Well, ok, some of them were shown trying to react to an attack, but it was too little, too late.
I don't know, that Lao G moment didn't feel like just a gag, more like a hint. Sort of how Gladius was shown exploding his helmet while talking to Baby 5 about Violet. I'm pretty sure there would be people claiming it was a gag about his strenghtening hair gel if his ability wasn't already uncovered.
-
The main character of the series, is a gag himself.
-
Enough about Lao G.
Dellinger's appearance in the last fight leaves a lot to be guessed. Is he a human who ate a fighting fish fruit? Sounds dumb to me. Firstly, the fish zoan would be more or less useless, unless the user only did partial transformations to aid him in a fight. Still, a zoan of the species that lives in the waters of Dressrosa? Too convenient.
Maybe he's a fish that ate some model of human fruit?
If not that, it's possible he has some kind of animal mimicry parameciaโฆ
Not sure, but I think it should be one of these.
Bonus: Cross between a human and a fighting fish.

Not to mention that Fishmen already fill that void of human/fish creatures, making fish Zoans even more redundant as they would essentially be Fishmen without the ability to swim.
-
I think awakened zoans are just fruit users who used ther fruits so much that the animal side became dominant, and they became more animals than human. Or were left somewhere in between. It's evident zoans have some kind of personalities, otherwise objects like Lassoo and Funkfreed would be impossible.
Maybe Chopper would look more like human if he became an awakened zoan. Or maybe he already is one, since he has more human traits than animal ones.
When Oda said that human who would eat human fruit would become more enlightened, it probably means that the person who would eat it would become more human. Smarter, more emphatic, more self aware, wiser, healthier?Since Chopper isn't ready to go 10 minutes after being KO I don't think he is awaken Zoan. Their great recovery is the only info we have on them.
-
Awaken = out of slumber
-
So if all the pirates from the Doula's crew end up having a df, it means if they sink in open sea and since there's no one to save the rest, they're all gonna die, worst pirate crew so far.
There is also a bunch of fodder. I doubt they have devil fruits. And it's not like they actually live like pirate anymore.
-

Those fodders aren't members of the pirate crew itself, they will not be in the main ship anyways. and yeah they better stay in solid land, open sea is too much for them.
-

They can just ride Buffalo, who can fly.

They can just ride Buffalo, who can fly.
Pica and Mcvise are to heavy, they're the sacrifice I guess.
Besides if they all got instantly wrecked by let's say Kaido, and they all touch water, they're pretty much doomed.
-
Pica and Mcvise are to heavy, they're the sacrifice I guess.
Diamante turns them into flags, then they ride away on Buffalo.
โ- Update From New Post Merge ---
Vergo, Snow girl and Diamante as well
Buffalo is probably the only one who can carry passengers though.

Why should the human fruit behave the same as animal fruit? Most animals are stronger than humans for their size and also have greater stamina and endurance. Not to mention a certain wildness. Humans are different.
But that's just my theory. And Chopper being awakened was just a possibility I threw in.
-
I'm just saying, it's always better to have a non-df user in your crew. especially if you're the captain of a pirate crew who's gonna be like 70% of the time in open sea.
-
Right, there's one other possibility concerning Dellinger's fighting fish dorsal fin. It's a gag.

He can ride the wind
Pretty sure he wouldn't be able to control himself. And he would need to up for some great wind.

What if someone drops the Ope Ope in open sea?? Nobody can reach it, good bye Dofla's plan to take the world over, if only we had a non-df user with us :(

Is on the ocean so he'll have enough wind, and he might not be able to control his destination but he will keep himself at float

"There's something fishy going on with that kidโฆ"
It was just a mild provocation. ^^
But yeah, something like that. The kid has been obsessed with fighting like a fish that he even grew a fin on his back.
I mean, if Lulu could distort space at the root of his nose hairโฆ

16 chars of Use the submarine.

Because that's basically the only thing we know about awaken Zoan.
We know that they are humans who ate zoan devil fruits and we know that the animal side somehow overpowered the human side. Since zoans are the only type of fruit that increases physical abilities, it makes sense they they would be increased even further if the animal side takes over. Stronger, faster, more durable, recovering fasterโฆ
As for human fruit, it won't make the animal that much stronger than it already is and the animal becomes more intelligent, able to speak, read, write, socialize...

You know, the whole thing with the spoon only makes sense if people know what covalent bonds and van der Waals forces are. How exactly does Oda intend for children to know the scientific reasoning for Vergo having a spoon sticking to his face?
Also, we don't know if Dellinger is a DF user, or Lao G.
It is just a funny quirk, to show that Vergo is a messy eater.
Spoon is not the only thing that sticks on the guy's face, at times burgers get stuck on it. Damm Van der Waals ffs.
-
perhaps Vergo is just really unlucky with the law of infinite probability? I mean, what are the chances of a burger getting stuck to your face. He probably gets lucky perks too, like opening the dryer and finding his laundry neatly folded.
-
Friction or Static electricity can make all sort of things stick to your face, including spoons. Vergo posseses immense physical strenght, a trait wich in the world of OP is known to omit ridiculous amounts of friction and combusting static electricity.
-

That's just a regular amount of friction. Anyone can stick a spoon on their nose. It has nothing to do with static electricity.
-
Really, Vergo's spoon-sticking can easily be explained with him having a greasy body.
The burger that was stuck in his face earlier just made it greasy enough to hold other things like fries and spoons. Simple.

I'm kind of sad the relation between Dofla and Law seems to simply be about "If I kill you I gotta search for the fruit again" rather than some genuine affection from the past.
-

Yeah this disappointed me a little too though I do have a hope we'll see something. After all, Doffy did say he thought of Law as a brother once. I think Law's relationship with Corazon will make up for it though.
-
@Daz:
Yeah fuck gags
Now let us all discuss Lulus magic Nose-hair-teleportation DF. I mean, Oda would never ever let a character break the rules of reality for a silly gag right?
I'll discuss it with you.
First off, actually that's a cowlick.
Also, there is a sense of realism in there, if there wasn't, there'd be no one in our world that has a cowlick/hair that won't stay down - referred to as Ahoge (which I personally had).
Lemme try to explain, Lulu's cowlick does not teleport, more so that he has some kind of natural ability to make hair stand (which he can also trigger in other people, like the marine soldier who was wearing a cap so his nose hair poked out). His Ahoge moves around after being pressed down but to only where there are hair.
I would say it's more magical like you said, but I know the real explanation would be it's another example of extreme/exaggeration of One Piece and on Oda's part.
..I feel enlightened.
-

Cora being the new Saul won't make up for the lost of a genuine affection between Law and Doffly.
-

Well I have some good for you, Doflamingo's hesitance to kill law has nothing to do with hunting down Law's power. In 682 he gives Vergo very clear orders to kill Law with no mention of the fruit at all.
On a more interesting note (possibly) when Dofla refers to Law saying "I thought of him as my little brother" is there any possibility that the translation is not saying that he thought of Law as a younger sibling but actually he thought of him like he thought of Corazon?
-
what reaction, he's mad, he's always mad, he had never shown to be afraid of Vergo, even tough Vergo had his heart/advantage he went all the way to fight him.
Feels like you are simply trolling here, shame really.
I doubt they could ride Vergo. Diamente can fly?
And I left for sleep just before those kind of posts
I'm just saying, it's always better to have a non-df user in your crew. especially if you're the captain of a pirate crew who's gonna be like 70% of the time in open sea.
Mingo has his strings to get people out of water- Law could have used his DF on water to pick it up with Smokers warship during PH arc. Robin also used her ability under water for a moment.
So making net out of strings and getting people out of water should be no problem for Doflamingo.
Also Trebol with his sticky power was more than capable in pulling Gladiators from underground prison one after another and using it on crewmates that dropped into the sea is possible.
So even with crew full of DF users it would be possible.
Beside all that why not to put some safety measures on ship full of DF users, like some kind of net not even telling about simplest idea ever to have some fodder nobodies on ship as cabin boys etc who dont have DF power. Seems like Doflamingos crew has thousands of those, it would be weird if while being on the ship that crew would go anywhere without those footsoldiers etc.

Ok mister Cannon..
Explain thatWhy Counter Shock doesnt work on Vergo as it should ? Why Oda gave a panel where Law points to that?
Haki? I dont think so if Laws cutting power was able to go through Vergos CoA hardening armor than counter shock should have gotten Vergo good as its already proven that Laws DF power > Vergo CoA hardening armor.
Wouldnt it make sense if it was because of his metal body that he gotten close to no damage that he should have gotten?
Also there are even sound effects of sparks of electricity going around Vergo even after attack was finished. There was nothing like that when we seen Counter Shock used on Yeti Cool Bro. With Vergo all of Laws attack seemed to go through him and have visual effect like a piece of metal was hit with electric current.
Tekkai also is not answer as it doesnt protect you from electricity same as it didnt protected Jabra from Diable Jambe heat burning through. Tekkai doesnt save from electricity / cold / heat kind of things.
It makes body more durable against physical attacks and thats all, its not a shield - like haki - power that was in Vergo vs Law case shown as Law DF > Vergo haki. -

Don't call people troll when you post a pic where Vergo is obviously bleeding and boiled.Well he was boiled enough to look just fine few panels later
And Counter Shock did close to no damage to him as it seemed. He was capable of beating the crap out of Smoker and then going at Law.
Do you really prefer to call my argument a plothole / trolling rather than acknowledge that it would make sense ?
Comment from Nami on Sanjis body being super durable would have even more sense if Vergo was metal man.. it would also add to Sanjis training and build up of bodu with Nakamas food.

I know we are talking about shonen logic but Oda can't have both metal and rubber block electricity. And fucking spoiler tags.

Metal is affected by electricity if amps are high enough but it doesnt have same effect like on normal body, by logic it should just go thrugh metal slab and left it a bit charred.
So its not like it was with Enel and Luffy.
-
There is no panel with Law showing any sign of traumatism, and till we get one that is only Doula's supposition/assumption.

Would you agree that the best way to prove your theory is to shut up and wait for it to happen ?
-
From my point of view you cant stand that I think the way I think about Vergos ability.
I just stick to my point of view having a lot of arguments to show that all wasnt made out of thin air and thats all.You keep bringing this theory up over and over again, this isn't anything to do with me.
You're the progenitor here lol derailing thread after thread by indulging your own tenuous theory.
It's getting really old.

It doesn't make sense. It plain simple. Vergo is stronger than the yeti brothers. So simple
