Earlier leaks by several other sources also list Dixie, Ridley, and Mewtwo. Same sources accurately predicted Dark Pit, Duck Hunt, Bowser Jr., Shulk, and Dr. Mario. Also mentioned Chorus Men. Mach Rider and Impa are new though…I do want Inpa to be playable as Zelda doesn't have a newcomer and my top choices (Midna and Skull Kid) are AT's. Just add K.Rool and Isaac, bring back the 4 vets and it's perfect...DLC?

Oh no attack of the differing opinions. Lucas is better than Ness to begin with, but yes as a huge fan of the series it hurts to see the rep count drop. It got tons of love in Brawl which makes it even harder to get a downgrade. Almost any protagonist or major villain from the series would fit in really well.
And sorry I can't count a Pit clone as a villain addition.

My only regret about Dark Pit is that he's not called Pittoo in-game :sad:. I wanted the announcer and cheers to call him that way

Sakurai never intended Ganondorf to be playable in Melee. He was the last character added and he said he only got in due to his popularity and having a similar build to Captain falcon.

I liked the few changes they made to Ganondorf in Brawl's moveset. The only thing that really bothered me is his absence of projectiles which hopefully will be fixed with a custom Neutral B.
If they increased his speed and gave him that, I will consider picking him more often. -

So Mii is flat-out not present on the character select screen then? That's one thing I don't get. Also would be really disappointed if Ness is the only Mother Series character. The main thing that worries me overall, other than roster choices, is that clones still seem extremely clone-y. Even Shulk seems like a clone.
We also know the Mii Fighter is not present in all modes of play. There are circumstances where the game won't let you play as them, and we have no confirmation whatsoever that any of these shots or videos are coming from a mode where they're playable.
Mii fighter may also not have defaults and only appears on the CSS when you actually have a Mii Fighter created.

IMO, the perfect way to fix Ganondorf would be to change one of his specials so that it becomes a "Sword Draw" technique, and otherwise he plays exactly the same. Drawing the sword would then radically change his play-style to a more unique one. Then maybe make whichever B attack you changed (Down B most likely) one of his customizable moves where you can give him back the old one, and boom: You have made everyone happy Sakurai.

Sakurai has gone on record saying he likes to put in retro characters to revive interest in the. And advance wars aside, Custom Robo might have a bunch of games, but it is an INCREDIBLY small franchise that I don't think has ever even sold 100k copies for any given game

If the leaks are true:
Bowser Jr. is unexpected, but could be kind of fun. Can't say I'm too excited about him. I never played Xenoblade, but that's cool for the people who were excited about Shulk - I'll have to see how he plays first before I judge. Ganondorf being (at least mostly) the same is disappointing, but oh well. Falco, Dr. Mario, Lucina, and Toon Link are all cool with me, but I admit Dark Pit has me a little annoyed - unless his moveset is significantly different, to Smash players he'll just be a palette-swapped Pit, which really shouldn't take up a separate slot. The other clones at least have something else different about them - what the heck are Dark Pit's alternate colors going to be, especially in differentiating him from Pit? I'll have to wait and see, of course, but not too happy about that.

I don't think it's bad in itself; it just will never live up to any character that's more of a beloved mainstay. Also ROB was awful in Brawl lol.
