@Kizuchan:
Aldnoah Zero continues to keep my interest fine with it's twists and some of the characters. Rayet is becoming one of the more interesting characters in the series to me. I feel like her problems are conveyed really well, like Slaine last week.
This season has really made me realize just how much "average" there's out there, none of the series except Terror really have truly impressed me and even that sort of slowed down from the really strong start it had, though I still would not say it's bad at all. They're not necessarily bad, just not amazing, or ultimately standing out. Looking at the past seasons, every season has a lot of average and maybe 2-3 good/great series and when lucky a huge breakout like AoT.
One's standards change the more series they watch. While for example I hailed Highschool DxD as a great show back in 2012, I now look at it with eyes of disinterest, viewing it as nothing else but "slightly better than the other harem garbage". That also makes it difficult to find captivating shows. You have to go through a lot of crap to find some gems. It's annoying somewhat but goes to show what kind of anime are considered mainstream in Japan (sad ain't it?).
As for A/Z. It really threw a curve ball at the end there. After a lackluster first 20 or so minutes I was on the verge of dropping it for good, but suddenly things happened (admittedly, Rayet's dead eyes in the shower were an indicator that something Urobuchi-ish was imminent). Now the question is
! is the princess really dead? If so, then holy fuck, A/Z did it. Caught my interest. Made me open my eyes in disbelief.
If not, then well, fuck you, too, episode director for apparently showing balls and then remembering that they don't exist in the first place (Jesus, what a stupid metaphor, Enzy).
