Yeah, overall nothing really happened to Heracles.
All is fine in the Toriko world.

Only the thing I'm not OK with Blue Oni is others doesn't seem to have it.
It's a given with Acacia's FC you get to have full control over your Red but Blue is still an enigma. Given eating only special ingredients, like how the only Blue Nitro we have seen went bleah over BB Corn, only certaing ingredients is able to touch the appetite of Blue. AIR will be enough I'm assuming but why that normal air fruit wouldn't be for example? In the end Blue did eat it.
DDDAAAMNNNN horse kind is so damn cool
i wonder how long it takes shima to draw the horse it looks difficult as shit
The king is pregnant :o
Hm… wait a minute...
@Purple:

We got another Bad Ass female in this Manga. Toriko is so progressive, there's a distinct style for males and females, and a female can be a king. :ninja:
It could be a hermaphrodite.
That may explain why since the beginning, Viz went for "Nightmare" Heracles even though the literal translation is "Horse King" Heracles.
Or maybe his species is just like the Namek in Dragon ball.

I was thinking the same thing. Seems like the gender nonspecificity is finally paying off…!
Uhh, Horse King as in King of Horse species.
The gender doesn't matter, it can be a female horse king that got impregnated by a male one.
Great cover and great teamwork in order to cook AIR. Completely over the top stuff, but it beats Komatsu taking care of everything with Food Luck alone by miles. And I guess I did completely misjudge the strength of the 8 Kings… Heracles just ended the fight by inhaling once! Lots of compatible ingredients will be eaten before a serious fight against one if the kings will take place.
No you fucking didn't. . . .
Holy SHIT that's beyond fucking broken. . .

Still sounds really weird in the sense that you don't say that the "King of Beasts" the lion is pregnant, but I'm just really jesting around when I'm making fun of it.

Now he just needs to make a clone of the Horse King, then they are good to go. They having problems, Horse king is made to suffocate the enemies.
lollllllllll poison car
Good to see Heracles cement her superiority again, but I wonder if she'll be the sole "obstacle" this arc, or if an evil nitro or something will show up to fight Komatsus team over the Air fruit.
Yeah Coco's powers are growing weirder and weirder. With this progression he'll be able to create a new universe out of poison.

I'm expecting a Blue Nitro to bail Toriko out of this pickle or something like that, maybe something like NEO to obstruct the AIR process and underhandedly deal with Heracles, but we'll see.

I'm expecting Terry, Kiss & Quin to help Toriko buy a little more time. They started rushing towards the Emperor Ring at the beginning of the previous chapter.
Yaay, I knew our favourite horse would do something like this. I love how Shima draws Heracles.
And yeah, Poison Doll OP plz nerf.
How does a cheff deals with an unknown ingredient?
He tests it by using his past experiences with similar ingredients, like the lesser air fruit that Komatsu just prepared, in order to predict the best curse of action.
Instead Komatsu "knows". I don't like this.
What are the odds of the nitro or neo coming just after the Heracles gives birth and eats her? and the guys adopting baby heracles?

Zebra still needs an animal partner, already shown with a Horse…... I like your idea lol.
Also, Komatsu hears the voice of ingredients + got an explanation from Melk I on how to cook AIR, as is stated in this chapter.
I could see Zebra adopting it.
How can an unripe fruit have 70 % of the flavour of a ripe one, and a ripe one have twenty percent more flavour then it has.
This s a logical nightmare.
What manga do you think this is?
Logic doesn't exist here.
How can an unripe fruit have 70 % of the flavour of a ripe one, and a ripe one have twenty percent more flavour then it has.
This s a logical nightmare.
I have rationalized that nightmare by thinking %70 as just a basis Komatsu used. Like 70 points. But Komatsu then calculated it to 120 points. Still… Fuck it.

Komatsu learned how to math from younger Toguro.
Also, can I take a minute to point out how much I love Sunny? Toriko is pulling demons out of his ass- or face, in this case- Coco is creating same-power clones of things (even more broken than a Green Lantern Ring), and Zebra is…actually, he hasn't shown any new powers this arc has he? And then there's Sunny, who just develops pragmatic new uses over the hair power he already has. No BS, just logical progressions. That's part of why Sunny will always be my favorite. (Granted, I'm not sure why just pushing himself forward with his hair wouldn't do the same effect, but I can dig making hair tracks.) (And no, reflecting power back at multiplied force isn't BS shut up shut up shut up.)
I enjoyed the chapter.
Heracles is probably just giving birth via Parthenogenesis, same way the revived Battle Wolf gave birth to Terry.
Is there a chance that Gourmet Cells are the great sex equalizer? The way characters and beasts can simply regrow limbs and vital organs, I wouldn't be surprised if Gourmet Cells can be tapped to give any creature the ability to make clones of itself (Elg?). Oh, wait, now I remember that this was said to be one of the basic powers of the Herac species, right? Incredible healing factor and reproductive ability?
Only way I can think the percents make sense is if Komatsu meant 70% of the flavor via the melk1 method and waiting increased it to 100% but, if you did it Komatsu's way it's 120% of melk's method.
I don't know about you all but I'm looking forward to seeing a newly born fully developed little baby Heracles hop on a rainbow bridge and run around the world neighing.
I just have to see that.
Other than the silly 120% + poison car + lack of air means time slows down shenanigans, this was a fun chapter.
I was thinking, and since "poison" could be said to include various viruses and bacteria, microscopic living organisms that cause sickness and disease, then it's actually not THAT much of a stretch for Coco to use this ability to create essentially "life" to create replicas of larger living organisms.
of course, making a perfect copy just like that is still kinda BS, but it's not like he's using an inorganic and insubstantial thing like fire or electricity to make things out of. the idea of "poison" is fundamentally biological, is what I'm saying.

Yes, but then it's kind of Shima's job to explain that Coco as a poison user evolved to that microscopic degree. Stating that would be too far… In order to not get down to that road instead Shima is just pulling some stuff to show Coco is progressing too. Coco is doing some kind of alchemy in which his creations are based on poison right now. And since there is no in-story-logical explanation and limiting arguments to it Shima is giving some gadgets through him and pretending that he doesn't have the power to do anything else yet. Which he should. If you can create a fucking car out of poison and clones what can't you do it? Answer should be nothing.
Probably something along the lines of the creature is much stronger than him he can't create/clone it or something along those lines.
That way he can create a Toriko clone but not a clone of one of the 8 Kings.
Next chapter, Toriko (or the Blue Demon, rather) inexplicably develops the ability to use Anaerobic Respiration on command and break down all the glucose in his body.

Huh, where was that mentioned?
@Fire Fist:

That'd actually be a pretty good tradeoff if Shima remembers to incorporate that you get only a fraction of energy from anaerobic respiration and that the blue oni's time is limited even further.
@Devil:
Huh, where was that mentioned?
It was mentioned as the reason why AIR is only 70% ripe at the moment basically. The air around AIR is so dense that AIR can't get enough nutrition so that the air that AIR would produce would be not as tasty air from AIR.

The translation made it seem that dense air = slow rain, slow rain = EVERYTHING SLOW = slow ripening fruit
I didn't consider the air's density meaning nutrition struggles to get in, but i doubt Shima was thinking like that
Who knows though
What I don't like about Komatsu being able to hear the voice of ingredients and Coco's poison dolls is not the fact that they can do such things but how the author just tells us the results instead of showing how they do it.
On another note, since Toriko with torn clothes and black hair reminds me of Sangoku, I can't help but think about those guys while reading Toriko lately :

Oh, yeah, I guess somehow I misread that as the air fucking up the nutritional value.
But anyway yeah the air around AIR is too dense for AIR to really grow and release the air in AIR.
Uh…Is the conception of the horse like a chihuahua and a great dane sort of thing? It should be noticeable if there was more than one mountain sized horse roaming...right?
Oh I get it. When its said that knife was made to cut Air, it was really meaning that.
I didn't like this chapter: Komatsu instantly knowing what the fuck to do and Coco's BS/OP poison powers. And the fertilizer thing, I thought you had to wait for a significant time to make fertilizer (like, you can't just throw food at a plant and say, "Dinner's ready bitch!"). Or does the tree ingest it's food like humans? I must've missed something or reading too deeply into this.
Meh, at this point instant fertilizer really isn't a big deal and fits in with the rest of the universe.
Actually, there are liquid fertilizers that are much more effective in many situations than solid ones. Liquid fertilizers are absorbed almost instantly by the plant and can be used to revitalize plants that are near death (IRL).
I'd assume that a gas fertilizer works even faster/better. In fact, did you know that the main mechanism through which mammals lose weight is simply breathing? By exhaling CO2 and H2O, we breathe off our excess carbon and oxygen, which is what most of our mass actually comes from. We don't really lose that much weight by excreting waste.
Plants, on the other hand, gain weight by breathing. They absorb CO2 from the atmosphere and incorporate it into their chemical makeup. A lot of people think that plants absorb all of their nutrients from the ground and then use them to grow upward, but the real reason why plants grow up and out is because they are breathing the air and using its nutrients to make more plant material. Of course, some fertilizer must usually be given to encourage healthy growth, since the atmosphere doesn't have enough of everything that a plant needs (like Nitrogen).
edit: So, I guess that AIR needs lots of air so that it can breathe even more air into AIR so that when AIR falls it releases the most tastiest air from AIR that you could possibly imagine.
air
Maaan, if this is going to be the same with every dish in acacias fc, talking about it is going Tipp be a pain…
GOD, it's not that difficult. I mean, come on guys, just grow a PAIR.
If I hear ANOTHER complaint about the names of Acacia's courses, I may have to go ATOMic in here.
It's old NEWS at this point. Don't tell me - you all still think that EARTH is the CENTER of the universe, don't you?
I better get some fresh AIR before I start offending people.
They would need more god so GOD will be the tastiest GOD to ever god?

Eh? The atmosphere is 78% N2. The reason why fertilizer and symbiotic bacteria in the soil are necessary for plants is because plants need fixed nitrogen without the normal triple bonding.
Of course this probably doesn't apply to a world where they just feed the AIR tree random ingredients they pick up.

I knew that something felt off in what I was saying about Nitrogen.
You're right, there's plenty of Nitrogen in the AIR, but (as you've said) it's already chemically happy. N2 is one of the most inert molecular gasses that we know of, commonly used in science applications for this very reason. This is why plant food usually has ammonia in it, otherwise plants would never be able to get any ATOMic nitrogen, which is absolutely necessary for building proteins.
They would need more god so GOD will be the tastiest GOD to ever god?
Maybe it was misspelled and the dish is DOG.
