@SH-Avenger:
You read Toriko for plot developments? Story It's about muscle-bound he-men who go around killing and eating overpowered animals….
Is that why there's thousands of years of history attached to the story related and dating all the way back to the Blue Nitro, the creation of the Gourmet World, the lost civilizations, Acacia, and GOD? Of course there's more but I guess none of it matters much because we have our He-Men.
Someone should let Mashima know that he can do whatever he wants with the plot. Let's give each human on earth 20 demons crammed inside their heads who hold daily board meetings and reveal that GOD has been inside everyone all along and they just have to "find themselves" to discover it. That's crap but really who cares about plot development when it comes to Toriko because as long as he has strong guys and coooool fights everyone should he happy because…
I thought everybody read this because of the constant violence.
And a basically good story, fun characters, and cool settings? If you read this solely for the violence that's all you, man. From what you said above you definitely don't read it for any plot developments or story. I don't specifically read it for plot developments and I love the insane fights but as with any shonen manga I read I like it best when both our on their game.
Is it asking too much that if the author himself wants to inject plot points and developments into his manga that he at least make them good? It doesn't have to be complex or anything but if the author goes that way and he can't execute it properly that's his own folly. I don't even have a problem with the overall arching story, so far it's just what has developed in this chapter.
I mean is this really gonna keep any of you from reading Toriko? Somehow I doubt it.
You know what? Me too. It's almost as if I'm not going to drop this entire manga over this 1 chapter I didn't like.
But I personally don't complain to much if I'm reading it for free. I guess that's just me though.
I personally don't complain about other people complaining because what they read is free. Like, if someone goes to the library and borrows a book for free and halfway through the book they say, "Wow, that was a dumb development." I'm not going to say, "Welp, duuur you got it for free so you can't point out any flaws with it!"
That's just me though?
