I have to agree with Kirk.
This has nothing to do with nostalgia since I was LOVING Dressrosa until a few chapters back and probably will still love it and think it is one of my favorites arcs once it is over, but it is currently stuck at the same point for longer than it should. And, unfortunately, all of the New World arcs had this problem at some point (Punk Hazard was almost entirely just that).
The problem here is not that the arcs are long, but that they are longer then they should be because a lot of the time is wasted in pointless wandering. As long as it doesn't cover most of the arc - as in Punk Hazard - this shouldn't compromise the arc as a whole, but is still painful to go through in a weekly basis.
We've had 2 arcs in the New World, I'm not going to get concerned about a pattern just yet.
Tbh, I'm not that bothered by the running around.
Like I said, on PH it was worse because everything looked the same, even the PH staff being fought and whatever.
On Dressrosa, however, we're seeing various locations and loads of different characters doing different things.
Also, it's not like the running around is pointless, Doffy basically reshaped the entire damn island and set himself as the prime target.
