well that was fast.
Wait you went this long without seeing what the new turtles look like? Not even on billboards?
Nah. I wasn't really focusing on it, as I didn't have plans to go see it.
My brother wants to see it, though.
Do your friends happen to spend their free time doing this?
Most of my friends are special effects artist that easily get CGI boners.
Finally watch this movie.
Mikey is easily the worst thing ever.
Seen most of the plot points in previous movies or shows that it feels super redundant.
Splinter is the worst in this.
Its hilarious how Eric Stantz is totally the Shredder in a previous cut of this movie.

- I like Donnie's voice and personality, can't get behind his design.

- The elevator scene is really enjoyable, honestly when the turtles are by themselves its pretty nice.
Pretty much my thoughts. That said mikey wasn't that bad, (granted he was always a favorite of mine) When he was around April he was horrible. As you said the turtles were better when alone.
Seven years four transformers movies and a TMNT movie and they still haven't figured out that the human characters are there for us to help us relate to the non-humans not so we don't have to relate to them. Not like they can trust a three decade old franchise to know what it's doing.
Wow…. That was a great season finale for TMNT.
! Shredder Vs. Splinter fight was really great. Leo Vs. Fishface, Razhar, and Tiger Claw so remind me of Leo's fight against the Foot Elite guards from TMNT 2003.
Damn now I really wanna see this episode.
The season premire of TMNT was pretty great.
! I really like the reference from the first movie with April drawing the turtles.
This episode was such a love note to the Live Action movies. Seth Green makes a great Leonard.. its just kind of jarring to have it change so suddenly.
Some more news about TMNT Season 3.
http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/10/10/nycc-teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-season-3-preview
! I can't wait for Hun, Bebop, and Rocksteady to be in the series.
Good news all around, that's for sure. Also, I'm really liking Seth Green's take on Leo.
They must have really loved the first live action movie. Loved the premiere.
The new episode of TMNT was pretty great.
! It was great to see Punk Frogs in the current series. The ending of the episode was interesting and makes me wonder what is going to become a mutant next.

Clearly a Transformer.
I enjoyed the episode, I'm just sick of seeing Napoleon Dynamite's actor be Parody versions of his Napoleon character. I feel like its a decade too late. To add to it, last week we got a Ben 10 episode featuring Clyde Five which is the same character, but Ben 10. Too much Type casting.
Poor Jon Heder no one will acknowledge him for anything else besides a role from an 11 year old movie (and the short lived TV show based off it).
Great new episode.
! The introduction of Bebop and Rocksteady was a good way to end the episode.
There have been a great handful of episodes. Tho I hope we see more of the "Mystic" outfits for the Turtles.
Two classics made a comeback and one is voiced by J.B. Smoove. TMNT has been on a roll lately.
I'm just really really happy we're no longer on the farm. I liked the farm, but it was killing me how long it took for us to get back to the city. I wouldn't mind so much if they played up Leo's disabilities.
The entire time during this episode all I can think, "is this gonna be the episode… are they gonna?! Its almost over... come on. OH SWEET! "

"
That's pretty much what they did half the time Leo was on screen during the filler farm arc.

I honestly forgot he wasn't healed all the way til the brought it up in chimera episode. I'll need to rewatch, but aside from Leo being on crutches in the background, I don't think ti was mentioned much besides Into the Woods, Eye of the Chimera, and Vision Quest.
But I guess my problem was it didn't really progress anything besides possibly the Frogs coming back eventually.
3 Episodes are currently out right now. 1 on TV and the Battle for New York 2 party is on Nick's website free to watch.
! Its also the return of Slash who's now a good guy.

Oh there was a new episode on TV yesterday didn't know.

I don't personally have cable, so I only know these things when the Black Nerd posts his synopsis "reviews".
So finally caught up with this, mostly so I can watch it with my girlfriend.
Its really weird since I've been through the comics, Mirage, Archie, Image, and Mirage again… the previous two animated series and the live action, and all four movies. I'm such a turtles veteran I really didn't want to go through all the motions again.
And so far, they really have retread a lot of old ground. Mixed it up and added their own twists in places, and enough new things that its their own beast, and a few improvements. Its written fairly well with some good action, but... yeah. Its another Turtles show.
I was a bit bothered seeing the rooftop fight that cripples one of the turtles that leads to the farm, AGAIN. Yes, it was in the movie, but that came from the original Mirage comics.
I dunno. It's not bad at all, but its hardly going to be the definitive version for me either (the way Spectacular Spiderman pretty instantly was THE one, or Thundercats 11 was far better than the original is everything but music) and it'll probably be the 2003 series that remains my favorite (along with the archie comics that i grew up on.)
This upcoming week new episode of TMNT is up on Nick.com right now. Great episode.
! It was nice to see the return of both Slash and Leatherhead. I really like the development on Slash as he is the leader of the Mighty Mutanimals during the invasion of TRCI. I did like that Mikey figure out the cure of the mutagen

More like construction site fight that leads to the farm they changed that minor detail at the very least.

Damn shame Nickelodeon only trots out the 2003 when they feel it necessary like a New's Year Eve/Day marathon.

Except for the theme song, of course.
If you're going to do that, at least post all of them.
I'd completely forgotten the 89 series had an alternate animation (but same lyrics) five or six seasons in. BEFORE the red sky season.
But yes, the 2003 series had a lot of openings. Had its own catchiness but never quite matched.
I like the american one just same.
If you're going to go Japanese then lets REALLY go Japanese.

Wow. Yeah, none of them matched the original at all. Eeesh.

This is so 90's it hurts…....I really think so:ninja:.
Casey Jones have been cast for the 2nd TMNT movie.
My name is Casey Jones. For five years playing various sports I have come home with only one goal, to save my city. But to do so I can't be the street softball player I once was. I must become someone else. I must become something else…...
Previously on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Oh ew, we have to watch Stephen Amell and Megan Fox play off each other?
I like Stephen Amell and I can see him having fun as Casey Jones, I just don't want him to do anything with Megan Fox's April O'Neil.

Well Maybe April will pull a Sara and all will be right again.
The Ninja Turtles has gone way downhil for me since the 2k3 series. It's not even because the 2k3 was the best version either. I dislike the new cartoon quite a bit (The style is too goofy and I hate the designs of all the characters especialy Donatello) and I refuse to see the Bay disaster. (Again the designs are bad but in this case out reight hideous and they took everything I disliked about Don's look in the newer cartoon and multiplied it tenfold) I miss my old turtles and may re-watch the 2k3 series again.
Have you read the IDW comics? They're great.

No I haven't
I'm currently on the One Piece Manga but may switch to them afterwards. But it'll have to be online as I can't afford comics.

The new show is decent and you get used the the designs pretty quick.
The Donnie crushing on April thing is a little weird as a major ongoing plot point (not that past iterations haven't had Mikey flirting with her) and the 2K3 version will probably always be my second favorite due to how much it drew from the original comics… but the new show is pretty decent. (Though the first season is a bit rough and overly silly.)
My first favorite version is always going to be the Archie comics, and at least partly because of nostalgia and I grew up learning to read on them. I wish I'd known "Dean Clarain" was a pseudonym for Stephen Murphy about 10 years sooner, as I probably would have been getting the Mirage "Tales of" during second run, since that was mostly written by him... but I just could not stand the art.
I have every tmnt comic from the original mirage run and the archie run, including specials and such (some of them reprints) but I just couldn't bring myself to deal with the Image run, Mirage 3.0, and I haven't touched the IDW run even though its supposed to be pretty good.

I have a fondness for the 2003 series as well. Out of all of the incarnations of the turtles, that's probably the version I've revisited the most. But the new series is pretty good, too. I was a little off put at first, what with April being much younger and taking the subplot about Donnie's crush on her seriously, but the show's definitely grown on me and it's really the only current show on Nickelodeon that I'll watch anymore. I actually liked the designs and how they were trying to give the turtles distinct contours and faces instead of them all being drawn from the same model. And, at the very least, they didn't give Donatello thick-rimmed glasses with duck tape holding them together like in the new movie.
Madea joins the TMNT movieverse
^Wait…for real?
