He was talking specifically about Garp, that doesn't mean he never fought anybody else.

He talked a fair bit about Roger's feats, and Luffy hoping to surpass them, implying that he was part of said events.

Roger fought WB and Shiki, who were both legendary pirates of the time, as was Chinjao, ergo, Chinjao most likely fought Roger as well.

Another baby just pop up, we don't need fact, Oda won't always give you what you want to hear that's why you have to interpret the messages your own way, You take only one line from Chinjao's word and you come to the conclusion that the New World has a limit and you cannot cross it IF you don't posses Conqueror's Haki, but do some of you get that? No, because Oda didn't say that and he's not trying to let you know that Luffy is not the only special dude in the New World, but whatever.

Most of times when person goes and calls people by some name almost always that name - in this case idiots - suits best person throwing it best name that he/ she is calling others.

Razh- we cant prove that Chinjao wasnt fighting for example with Rayleigh but he seems to know him well enough to comment that if he picked Luffy for flag of this generation then he must have had lost his mind. He certainly doesnt know Rayleigh just from tales but from meeting him in New World and I dont expect him to be friends with Rayleigh. So he must have been enemy. If a guy that was pretty much legendary pirate meets up another legendary enemy pirate they usually duke it out.
If Chinjao meet Rayleigh he had to meet Rogers entire crew. Fleet as big as Chinjaos is something big for New World surely, it cant be missed. If you want to cross enemys armada of ships it ends up in fighting. So I dont know why its so SF idea to go and say that Chinjao probably fought with Rogers crew at some point.

As for Emperors having CoC- Chinajos words meant that there is plenty of people with CoC in New World. He refered to them as Conquerors. People with CoC were hinted to have more potential for being stronger than people without it.
So I dont get why its so strange to think that 4 strongest pirates in the world have it(if any of them doesnt have it- Blackbeard for example- then it makes him even bigger monster as that pirate was capable of becoming Yonko without something considered as great asset.

Chinjaos words were not statement of fact but hint toward New World being full of people with ambition same as Luffy, with same haki as he has and that he will have to exceeed all other CoC users and pirates to stand on top as Pirate King.
There is more to CoC than we know so I dont get Magi being so full and sure calling out people.

And for the end -Hikaru something something- If you take some argument as perfectly resonable it still doesnt make you entiteled to call people not agreeing with it idiots. That was very lame comming out of poster that seems to be active here since 2006.

We still didnt yet seen seastone being destroyed by haki. So its most likely that some individuals would be thrown into cage made out of seastone.

You could always just surround powerful people with lava or acid or lasers or electricity as far as they can move too, keeping them on a little safe spot in the middle of it. Good luck getting out of that!
But yeah, people are saying seastone is unbreakable even to haki users, so we'll assume that for now.

And have you seen a strong haki user being in jail? I haven't . I'm not arguing that they can't hold them what I'm saying is That they probably wouldn't use normal methods like kairoseki, how do you think they held jinbe, I assume Magellan being there and poisoning them on a daily basis would somehow make it plausible or maybe as crocodile said, impeldowns greatest defense is the calm belt, even if did manage to come all the way up they didn't have anywhere to go( maybe except for Rayleigh ) and if you have someone that powerful it's logical to execute them instead of just putting them in incur serration

Law's ability ignores the hardness of seastone, though. He can pretty much cut anything solid.

Seastone doesn't prevent DF powers from affecting it. Remember Mr. 3's wax keys.

Anyway, you can't find seastone handcuff or a factory at the bottom of the ocean. So the shape of seastone can be altered by a process that doesn't include brutal strenght nor haki. I doubt that Vegapunk uses a nuclear bomb to sculpt seastone.
Maybe you just need to melt it with a laser.

Nen and stuff was in Hunter x Hunter years before haki. Oda did it slightly different but its almost impossible he didnt took ideas for haki usage from Hunter x Hunter.

Nen "armor" makes person less vulnerable to physical attacks for example.
Redirecting nen to some body parts makes attack or defense with that body part stronger(CoA much imo).

Also Mr Graphic nature- I wrote that comment before I even gotten to point where Hisoka fought with Gon on Arena. At that point in basic ideas haki and nen seemed to have concept that resembled one another.
Feels like you are overreacting a bit.

The key that Hancock was carrying around the entire time before giving it to Luffy who carried all the way to Ace without any side effects? Both who had direct skin contact with it? Yea that key was not made of seastone.

yeah thats right, but you can't possibaly argue that there is a substance that can't be broken. I mean the marines have literally tons of it, if it were in destructible they would make armor instead of coating it under their ships, if U got something that cant be broken hypothetically you'd use it as and offense not for jail bars or…
and oh, the skates of wiper were made of seastone but one of them got broken.

Yeah I guess it looks similar if you are still at this point. But I'm sure you could find such powers in many older manga. If Oda was inspired by an other manga, it's hardly HxH.

I am far further and with all crazy nen abilities I admit it looks very different from haki now. Though when some basics were explainded it was quite alike with haki.

Guys, just a theory, but Zoro's scar on his eye doesnt have stitches. Like from Luffy, underneath his eye, he had stitches on his scar. Shanks's three line scars didnt have stitches and he could open his eye. I havent been reading the manga so im not sure if Zoro opened his eye or anything recently. But what if that injured eye, he has some kind of haki locked in there? No not sharingan. Maybe if he open that eye, his Kenbunshoku Haki will get a big boost to the point not only can he predict the next moves of his opponent but he can predict the future.
Like a few of you have been suggesting, there could be different levels of Haki. And im very sure Kenbunshoku Haki has the level where you can predict the future (not opponent's moves but what is going to happen next like real predictions.)

Fujitora don't have stiches on his scars neither.
I guess Oda don't draw stiches on eyes' scar.

How am I overreacting though, when you did infact write the statement that I quoted; Your're acting like I'm suppose to just know that your opinion has changed. I was responding to the last post you made in this thread; pertaining to this particular topic, and in all honestly, just the mere mention of you comparing Haki and Nen, no matter how long ago it was, still makes absolutely Zero sense. Haki in One Piece acts as a form of a sixth sense, while Nen in Hunter X Hunter acts as a form of manifesting ones own ability, through the inner uses of the human spirit. Out of the 1000's of animes/manga's that I have read/seen, Haki and Nen have the least amount of similarities; bar none

I didnt seen 1000 animes like you did so thats probably why I have different opinion with nen at introduction/early on being alike CoC haki.
Even that menancing nen Hisoka was using to Block Gon and K from entering 200s because they were so weak and they were scared shitless of Hisokas aura. It reminded me how presence of Shanks makes people pass out and damages surroundings.
At point where HxH anime is now nen and haki are nothing alike, at point where I described those were alike in ways. Feels like you dont agree for sake of not agreeing(a bit like that).
So I still say that you are overreacting a bit and probably you should drop attention you give me really.

As for Nen-Haki - at start of arena part of HxH it was said

"Nen being strength of your will" being explained in first minute.

Ren intimidation scene looking like CoC haki start up and killua panicking(next step to that is passing out and thats where Oda taken CoC)

Or around 2:27 where piece of paper imbued with nen is sharp, durable enough that it packs a lot of punch, enough to pierce a wall- it reminds me how Kuja made simple arrows so strong that they were breaking rocks.
Fact that you block Nen with Nen only same as CoA haki protects best from other persons haki CoA.
Also how nen is around persons body like invisible armor, same as Rayleigh explained idea of haki.
There are different natures of Nen users- like person has more talent in one category of Nen - same as with haki.

Its not taking away from Oda with saying that he gotten inspirations from HxH.
Its not so weird I seen similarities as well.

Any 'similarities' can also be traced back to Dragon Ball, which is a manga that Oda loves and is more likely to take ideas from. It is possible that Oda may have similar ideas to Togashi, consciously or subconsciously, but Dragonball is where both branches lead back to.

In HxH, when Gon and Killua felt the strong intimidating Nen of Hisoka, it is based on the "sensing" of Ki. Like, you know, "what's that huge aura?" or something. In Dragon Ball, it's simply said that you can sense aura and you can hide your aura. HxH refines it by categorizing it under 'En' or 'Zetsu'. Since it is also explained that Nen is created form emotions or something, killing intent can be sensed through it. Hisoka's evil aura is not like Conquerors, which is an ability to overpower those of weak will.
Above, you've only said that thay were almost going to faint, not actually doing so. Conquerors knocks out those with less ambition. Nothing to do with whether you can coat yourself with Armament, which is what you liken Ten to, if you have enough guts and determination, you can push through.

Coating, covering yourself in aura to toughen your self up is also from Dragon Ball, though not explicitly stated. Toughening yourself with energy is simply from that.
Nen categories are seriously different from Haki types. Nen types are different abilities that stem from nen. Haki colours are different aspects or Haki. The Colours barely connect to each other(shielding to evading to willpower). Haki colours almost seem like seperate skills entirely.

Well your last line just proves bias Bringing this up without any connection to argument at hand-very high of you, really.

I am not comparing those two concepts in details. Just basic ideas feeling like Oda did seen HxH and worked on concept of haki knowing what Nen is and making something original and different enough from Nen with his Haki concept. Yet you go into detailed comparing and explanation when I listed few similarities at first episode where nen was explained. Also read thread before posting as I already explained that it was my opinion on nen-haki when I was at arena point in story in HxH and now I have different opinion.

And imo its retarded that you still bring up Vergo bargain with Shadowgreed as it doesnt concern you, to back up your attitude towards what I wrote when In fact I agree with what you said and only compared nen to haki at explanation level long time ago. If you would read thread instead of blindly going into argument because you didnt agreed with me on some matters, you would have saved time for both of us, really. This is rather tiring on long run, to have to reply to mindless attempts at picking at somebody. I am sure you have better things to do with life than this. Both. Older version I checked later - not every episode and scene but I wanted to compare atmosphere as older was praised to be closer to manga while I had no problem with 2011 version. Provided link to it as on YT there is montage of nen explanation for only older version. For art I prefer new version but atmosphere is more dense in older one imo.

And as you want to say here - I just pointed to some very basics things that reminded each other in both mangas. Glad that at least you out of people here have no problems with understanding what I wrote.

I'm not "giving you attention" I'm stating my reasons as to why I think you are wrong. What's your next comeback gonna be? I'm rubber and your glue? As much as I like forum I had pretty tense week and want to enjoy my weekend.. I already responded to you and I dont know what exactly you want me to reply to. Maybe I dont understand what you mean or to what I should answer to.

Not really. I wrote that you should get off me and read some posts to better understand what my current standing about nen-haki thing is and when - at what point in the story - I was pointing to those 2 being similar.

Its of course possible but I dont think it is like that.

We dont know much about haki, we have just some glimpses of explanation on it here and there. Rayleigh once said he cant for some reason use CoC again after blasting people unconscious.
So that indicates there are some limitations in using at leas CoC haki.
With CoO being somehow ability of mind like super strong kind of empathy as Otohime shown, at least I understand it like that and I think its less tiring body(though Coby was suffering with all voices he heard at end of war and when we seen him in hospital) and with a lot of training its like its on most of time(Whitebeard countering Ace attacks even through sleep).
CoA on other hand also should have some limitations of use and it should be giving more strain to body imo then CoO being ability of mind in a way, while CoA is ability of body so all time CoA for me seems less plausible.

But as I said its too early to say for sure.

Do we know if Logia based attacks, lets use Hiken for example, can be imbued with Haki? Have we ever seen an example of such a thing happening? If my memory serves me right, Doflamingos Haki infused strings is the first example of an attack conjured by DF powers that has been imbued with haki. But do we know if the same can be applied to Logia attacks? Any thoughts? I think there might be a limitation here because considering the massive area of effect damage some Logia users can cause, strong Haki would make these attacks night-impossible to dodge or survive.

We have seen smoker fire off haki imbued white blows but i dont think that counts because he is basicly just extending his physical fist through a wave of smoke, its somewhat similiar to luffys gomu gomu pistol or Buggy splitting off his hand and stabbing someone at a distance.

Yeah, thats what im asking. Can for example Kizaru shoot haki-light beams or Sabo conjure up flames that are coated in haki?
And i agree with you, Arnament Haki basicly "Hardens" an object or body part, and i dont think logia conjured elements can be "Hardened" or whatever you want to call it.

Haki is a pretty abstract concept in itself. Trying to apply it to intangible elements be would extremly confusing. I get that when you imbue your fists with Arnament Haki they becomes "harder", but how do you apply that to elements Electricity or Fire? What would haki actually do if it was applied to fire? make it hotter? its such a metaphysical combination of concepts that doesnt really make sense.
