@TLC:
How much do you think they'll cover today? Up to the airplane battle?
I think so, that fight was pretty short and there isn't need to give it a whole episode.

I like it!
Also: Dumhuvud's stand is Weak Mist, capable of creating concepts! Rank: E
It's written by Liam Sternberg but The Bangles performed it, so technically you're right lol
I need to listen to more music

I see. Here's the video by the way
Real name: Wheel of rainbow, with the ability to travel through solids. Rank: C
Driver Down, look out!
Jarhead: Hero's Ripples, capable of killing guilt! Rank: B
Well… That's good?
Freakin awesome. 『 Walk like an Egyptian』
I definitely wasn't expecting that song to be the ending, I always loved it.
Although 『 Egypt』or 『 Holy Diver』are really rockin songs, I definitely think that 『 Walk Like an Egyptian』 is a pretty damn fabulous song to end every episode on. Only thing we'll be missing are the amazing lead-ins to the ending like 『 Roundabout』
Full, Real, name= Aerial Black, capable of reversing anything! Rank: ??
User name= Daily Quota, capable of erasing injuries! Rank: C
Oh god that ending theme. I'm going to miss roundabout but when walk like an egyptian began to play i was almost in tears XD
Wait! I recognize that fly!

That's true, purple one, but I couldn't be happier about this. They sure know to pick the right songs.
On another note, this part shows a lot of promise. I already love the main cast, and I have yet to see the two remaining members of the group!
so is strength after Polnareff? i can't remember how early he shows up
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
oh yep turns out it is this early. So in 2 weeks we may get our first cut. Let see if the runaway girl is forever running away

I was speaking to a friend and thought that maybe this is how the episodes will play out from now
! EP4: Tower of gray, Silver chariot
Ep5: Silver Chariot (& maybe Dark Blue Moon but maybe not)
Ep6: Ebony Devil and Yellow Temperance
Ep7: Emperor & Hanged Man
Ep8: Hanged Man & Empress
Ep9: Justice
ep10: Lovers & Sun
ep11: Judgement & high priestess
ep12: high priestess & The Fool & Geb
ep13: Oingo Boingo & Anubis
ep14: Anubis & Bastet
ep15: D'arby
Ep16: Hol Horse & Boingo & Horus
ep17: D'arby 2 & tenore sa
xep18: Vanilla Ice
ep19: Vanilla Ice & The world
Ep20-24/5: The world
Of course the Dio fight maybe doesn't need as many episodes and so could be made shorter to either add in missing stands or if some other stands need more episodes
Wait, I tougth that the season was going to be longer?
Wait, I tougth that the season was going to be longer?
where did you hear that? I havn't heard anything saying that
^I would be very much astounded if they actually compressed all of Part 3 into only two cour. A lot of the fights you listed definitely are going to need a whole episode to be accurately represented, whether it be for actual threat level (so it's not even that they're villain-of-the-week but basically villain-of-the-half-before-the-commercial-break in what you propose) or length and setup.
Its cool to see Overdrive again. Sometimes I forgot this Joseph is the same as Part2's Joseph.
CHARISMA!
Menancing Spoon!
Epic smash and epic hand grab!
Epic card choice and epic power description.
Epic BAM!
Going by the current pace, they could also break it into two seasons
BDs indicate 24 episodes btw: http://www.jojo-animation.com/contents/bd_dvd/index.html
Aaaaw, I really wanted to see Wheel of Fortune and sudden 4th wall breaking.
i guess we will see. it depends if they cut it in two or not. I'd rather they didn't split it into two season and instead have a double length season. I'm just going by the 24 episode thing
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
some could work at the same time though like ebony devil or yellow temperance as i'm pretty sure they happen simultaneously

Why do you want a mediocre adaptation?
There is pretty much no way for them to compress Part 3 into two cour unless it ejects a ton of ballast to lighten the load, considering that the part itself is longer than Parts 1 and 2 combined, and Part 1 was already pretty compressed in its adaption.
Why do you want a mediocre adaptation?
What gave you that impression? All i'm saying is that as far as we know it's being adapted into 24 episodes as stated above. We don't if they are going to do all of part 3 in just one season or two. Now two would be the ideal but what i'm saying it if it is 52 episodes long i would rather it was all in one go and finish next april than have it finish in october and then we have to wait a whole year to get the second half. That would easily kill the momentum and i don't know where they would cut it. Not to mention the really popular fights like d'arby, vanilla ice and oingo boingo are in the 2nd half (d'arby is kind of border). We would have emperor and justice this time round sure but it really feels to me that if it is going to be longer than one season then it needs to happen in 1 go.
I don't know if it makes sense from the "anime season" business, but it should be doable in a 36 episodes series, what if it goes a little longer? It's such a big deal for the business? I'm actualy asking, I have no clue about these things.
Besides if you have a set of 24 cards, you kind of have the obligation of go through them. Anything short of cutting the lamer stand fights, and renaming the egyptian gods with them to complete the set would leave the new fans confused and the old fans angry.
They'll probably adapt part 3 into two 24-episode seasons, with a six month break in between. The current pace seems to support this theory, we would take a break with the arrival to Egypt. It's the best way for all of us.
And great ending.
Opportunistically, that could possibly mean a second ending theme as well.

To be fair, the old fans are going to be angry either way.
I don't think so. Were they angry with Parts 1 and 2? I found them perfect, after the removal of censorship.
In regards to the 24 cards thing you are right, they should feel obligated really. the only way i could see it all working in 1 season is if they removed the egyption god stands and started given people like d'arby stands after the tarot cards. They would only keep the important plot villains like justice and Horus but change the latters into strength, etc. It would work but i imagine it will piss off a lot of hardcore fans so i don't see it happening.
The only problem with having part 3 as 2 seasons is that there isn't a clear cut off point. You could have it be when Iggy joins as thats the cut off point for cards and when they become gods but there's no real end of season villain there which is the problem. I'm thinking how they would do this for other parts. Part 4 could easily have bits cut to make it a 24 episode season due to it's slice of life formula. Part 6 could also maybe get away with it but not part 7. That would have the same problem as part 3. Part 5 on the other hand does have a clear mid-point when they meet the boss and he fights Bruno. That could work as two seasons.

How about a "defeating-villains montage" Show the fights in a montage but don't go into any depth :P Sure it'll piss people off, but it's efficient and many fights aren't really good anyway…
I think we can already guess the ending theme for part 7:
Sanji's stand is Burning Heart, capable of eating the future! Rank: B
Zoro's stand is Aqua Heaven, capable of storing/releasing progress! Rank: ??
Luffy's stand is Millennium Lawyer, capable of destroying swords! Rank: ??
Sabo's stand is Deluxe Soul, capable of controlling its user! Rank: B
Strelok's stand is Scary Abyss, capable of detonating oppai! Rank: F+
Nice.
If the 24 episodes thing is legit I'm definitely calling a second season. If they left out parts or rushed this it wouldn't add up with the pacing we've had so far.

Okay tell me about gintoki and shinpachi stand
Okay tell me about gintoki and shinpachi stand
You can check it yourself with the site someone posted earlier - http://en.shindanmaker.com/273351
Gintoki's stand is Atomic Balls, capable of creating space! Rank: C+
Shinpachi's stand is Noble Infestation, capable of manipulating dicks! Rank: B+
Kagura's stand is Echoing Boy, capable of reversing matter! Rank: E-
Sadaharu's stand is Prone Dry, capable of erasing lasers! Rank: B
Zura's stand is Sultry Gold, capable of halting positions! Rank: EX
etc. It's a pretty fun website.
But if they REALLY had stands, what would they be like?
Gintoki's stand being atomic BALLS is really fitting
My thoughts on the 24-episode reveal, from MAL:
"Those of you panicking should chill.
If they wanted to rush this or leave minor fights out it would have made more sense to have 26 episodes like the first show, so why would it be 2 episodes shorter when Stardust Crusaders is significantly longer than Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency put together? Seems like an unlikely move to me. Not to mention it doesn't add up with the pacing so far; the first volume hasn't even been completely covered as of episode 3."
So yeah, I'm definitely calling another season, probably a one-cour show.
You can do one fight per episode guys.
But there's like 33 fights. And DIO's fight is the longest out of all of them
DIO's fight is like 20 chapters long, that's five episode minimum.
! D'Arby the Gamer is also really long, like longer than 10 chapters. It's probably going to be quite difficult to watch it week by week.
I'm sure there'll be some adjustments to fights to make the pacing work better… but yeah, some fights definitely can't be compressed into a single episode, let alone less than that if we were to cram everything into a single 24 episode season.
The Sun needs to be three episodes of suspense.
They could combine certain stands to work together, if they are willing to make changes.
Sun/Wheel of Fortune/Water guy
Devil/Temperance in paralel
Strengt/Moon
Spread Death through various episodes.
OingoBoingo/Bast/Anubis
Considering that in the first three episodes they have skipped nothing and have been extremely faithful.
I dont think they will skip any of the fights.
