Ok. Fuck it. I'm the only one that's creepied out by the author using the Maiden who looks like she's in her 13's at MOST as bait, so be it. Tame bait, ok. Good. It's tame. But it's fucking creepy. And tasteless.
And thankfuly I entertain and force unto myself the thought that Ban has ONLY pure and/or plathonic/paternal feelings for her. Cause I DON'T want to think otherwise. Or I'd say it again and louder: creepy.
And don't even bring the fact she's like, what, 300 years old? 3000? Don't give a fuck. She doesn't even look teen.
That's what fucking bothered me about the cover page, not some lol-fanservice that's as tame as it gets. Hell, Oda has had some covers that are way more fanservicey than this. . .
Didn't want to say it cause, yeah, she doesn't even show her ass or anything (thank god the author is not Mashima x2), but still? Creepy.
@Rogues':
God help us all if she was saved by a character like Sanji who would probably take the time to spouse off some "I heard the desperate cry from your maiden heart and came running" crap.
. . .and. . .God help us all if she was saved by a character like Meliodas who would probably take the time to grope both her ass and boobs?
@The:
Yeeeeeeah, I know your feeling, Damselling her up was unneeded, and she could've been picked up in a less ladylike manner. But in a way, it kind of suits Gowthers characer; he loves stories, and tries emulating humans as best he can. That probably includes chivalrous heroes.
If there has to be lady-rescuing, I at least prefer that^ reasoning to Sanji-esque shenanigans or Byakuya-like condescension.
Yeah, I thought that later. His side-chapter did get into his love for chivalrious novels, so it's less egregious when you think about it in that light.
Me too. His "blank" personality initially seemed like a massive step down from Diane, Ban and King, but he's growing on me. I loved his robotic, passive "helooooo <3" last week.
What got me was the "Wahahaha" in monotone voice. I hope there's an anime in store just for that scene. With a robotic voice, of course.
And "there's a first time for everything" was a pretty great line too. With a robotic voice, of course.
