@zym:
Alright Q & A time:
Season 2, chapter 22, when Augustus is talking to "Submerged Fish" via his pocket (Directly following the Untrustworthy Room test). Augustus says, "Yes, the Prince has passed our test. Everything is going the way FUG wants it to."
Is he referring to Ja Wagnan, Baam, or Prince?
Confused the hell out of me.
Augusus* was talking about either Baam or Wangnan.
Baam, being renamed by FUG as Jyu Viole Grace, has been adopted by Grace Mirchea Luslec. Mirchea, although dubbed "the Living God of FUG", desires to kill Zahard and become King. If Zahard becomes the King of the Tower, then Baam as his son would be the Prince.
Conversely, Wangnan could be the one Agusgus is talking about because 1) his name translates to "I am the Prince" in Korean when spoken backwards (Nan Wangja), and 2) HwaRyun calls him the "Prince of the light district".
Oh and I haven't heard anything about Baam being a 'prince' or anything.
Ha Jinsung addresses Baam as an Irregular.
Hwa Ryun has called Baam a "God", even though that title is designated only to full-fledged Slayers. Then again, as an Irregular, I guess he bypasses that requirement as he's the only one who can actually kill Zahard.
Xia Xia, although not an actual member of FUG but an affiliate, also addresses Baam as a "God".
@zym:
Very interesting. I figured it wasn't Prince, but I didn't remember if anyone from FUG referred to Viole as "My Prince", I guess it has always been "My God."
I have recently reread the series and I am pretty sure so far the only instance Ja Wagnan has been related to FUG was mentioned in the above post. I am now interest what Mr. Wangnan has that FUG needs and or wants. Hell, seems like everyone we don't know anything about, is somehow related to FUG. Wagnan is next.
What would really churn the waters, is at the end of every season someone betrays Baam.
Season 1: Rachel
Season 2: Ja WagnanWangnan could be a part of a larger plan for FUG. However, I don't see him betraying Baam considering all the chances he had in the past. If he was the son of Zahard, though, FUG should've killed him already considering their intense hatred for the Zahard and the 10 Families.
The Prince comment could refer to both Baam and Wangan, but not bratty Prince. Wangan has the Zahard ring/Prince of Red Light District and Baam was inside the cave that had the seal of Zahard/Fug has been waiting a long time for him. If you reread the part 2 prologue, it could be more than one Prince. Repellista says "them".
http://www.batoto.net/read/_/82306/tower-of-god_v2_by_the-company
Repellista: Now begins the real story…..The boring days are finally over.........Now, it's time for them to appear…..Soon,......The Prince of Zahard...........will return.Part 2: Return of the Prince - Start
"Them" could be anyone aside from the Prince's retainers. Could be FUG. Could be Wing Tree. Could be Phantaminum and Enryu (who are currently in hiding). Etc. Everything in the tower is a game for Repellista, so we never know what she's up to. She's like SIU considering she sees everything, knows everything, but doesn't care to interact.
If it was two, then they would be "Princes" of Zahard.
Here's the pic of Baam's cave with the Zahard seal. Click on the pic to make it larger.
There's a theory that Zahard simply copied the mark from the outside world. It could be his clan symbol, or literally anything. It could even be the mark of the Exis. Phantaminum could've came in looking for a fellow Exis, then met Zahard and realized he wasn't one. Karaka also wears a ring with the Zahard seal.

I'm gonna just support Wangnan as Prince at this point.

I already said this, but I don't remember Baam being called a 'Prince.' Being a god isn't the same thing as being a prince, if that's what you're trying to say. As an Irregular, he isn't necessarily the son of Zahard, nor would other Irregulars like Zahard's friends who came into the tower with him nor any other Irregular. Where is that connection coming from?
-
nor would other Irregulars like Zahard's friends who came into the tower with him
If you mean the now familyheads, who where then the guys that Zahard climbed the tower with, they are not Irregulars. The only others besides Baam are Phantaminium, Enryu and Urek Mazino (+ maybe Rachel, but thats rather controversial).
But you are right, that if you take the "prince" literally, then only Wangnan would fit. But in the context of what we have seen in S2 since the remark (and disregarding his ring), there was absolutely nothing pointing to him being anyone special or that anyone important having any particular interest in him.
-
Anyone who got into the Tower's Inner Area without being chosen by the Tower/Tower's Guardians are considered Irregulars no matter how they got in. Whether they forced their way in, like Baam, or they snuck in with another person, like Rachel, they're considered Irregulars.
Zahard also managed to get into the Tower's Inner Area without being Chosen so he is an Irregular. Not sure if the heads of the 10 Great Families came along with him or joined him after he got into the Inner Area.
-
The prince is most likely Wangan.

I know Irregular in the current political system points to people who aren't Regulars (who are selected by Headon then permitted to climb by the Zahard empire), but Zahard and his friends aren't Regulars either, so they'd technically fall more in line with the Irregulars who opened the tower themselves and took the Guardians' tests before the Regular system was established. The most important thing about Zahard and friends is that they entered the same way Irregulars do currently, even though the classification didn't exist at that time.

I remember reading that some of his friends (the 10 families) came in and climbed with him, but it's possible they entered at a later date. I do remember they at least climbed together, so it's very likely they're Irregulars in the technical sense.

The family heads are irregulars as well. Zahard and the 10 great warriors (later dubbed family heads) came from outside the tower (the world Baam, Urek, Enryu, Phant and Rachel are from). They went in, they formed pacts with the Guardians, and worked with the natives of the tower in order to climb it. FUG's Grace Mirchea Luslec was one of the natives who helped Zahard & the 10 climb the tower. Once they made it to the 138th Floor, Zahard made a contract with the Guardian in order to become king - thereby rendering all natives to his laws. The other 10 heads also asked for their own wishes as well.
There are actually a considerable number of Irregulars in the tower. While Enryu, Urek and Phant have made a name for themselves, SIU notes others have come in from the outside as well.
Rachel is an irregular. SIU confirms it as anyone who comes from outside the tower - regardless of whether they opened the door themselves. Zahard and his group came together, but only one of them would have opened the door since they were in a large group.
Zahard also managed to get into the Tower's Inner Area without being Chosen so he is an Irregular. Not sure if the heads of the 10 Great Families came along with him or joined him after he got into the Inner Area.
The 10 warriors came in with Zahard. The members are the 10 families are their descendants and have blood mixed with natives of the tower.

! Did not see that coming. I am genuinely shocked.

! You do not seriously think they are dead, right? They are probably not even harmed in any serious way. As long as you are from the good guys, you are fine in S2
! And it was said before, that you shouldnt mess with Reflejo. Still wonder if he or Barghav will be the final opponent for Baam, or even if there will be any end battle at all. Maybe someone stronger will intervene. I cant believe that FUG can operate so freely without anyone noticing, that something strange is going on. -

Of course I know they are not dead, otherwise FUG wouldn't have some sort of bargaining tool to use against Viole.
! I did indeed enjoy the panels with most of Baam's friends joining in, even if it was rather cheesy. Lero finally being with the regulars is a welcome sight as well. -

97 is out. And what a wonderful chapter. Though it has mostly talking, just seeing Baam smiling again is enough for me. I'd protect that smile.
! And did Reflejo hang Hwa Ryun's dead body up or something? http://puu.sh/6yYbP.jpg

! Creep.! She's not dead (thanks goodness), just passed out. And she's not hanged up, just leaning against the wall. Reflejo won't kill them, they are bait.

Can you supply a link please?

Thank you very much.
! ]Good chap, I'm interested in Cassano's motives.
! I saw it coming already, but I'm disappointed that the "Strongest team" won't be getting any new items from the Workshop, other than Androssi's Bon Bon. Unless some of the other teammates somehow acquired the items from the One shot, One Opportunity game, and SUI just hasn't revealed them yet. -

Stealing from the Workshop shouldn't be too difficult, even with FUG rankers on the prowl. GO, KOON, GO!
Hatsu was hiding as a Workshop guard (along with Lero-Ro), so maybe he got a new sword or two. And then there's Emile, which SIU mentioned is being turned into a weapon. It's the Workshop's highest priority, so I wouldn't be surprised if she were something akin to an ignition weapon, since we seem to come across one every couple dozen chapters lately.
-
I am very keen on finding out the entire story on Emile, as well as what they are currently making her into, and if she does get turned into a weapon than it's very possible they will get their hands on her. The whole traveler and her possibly lying to Beta really has me confused though.
All that aside, even if they don't gather anymore items or equipment, they do have the fcking thorn, so ya I would definitely state just like the tower dives, Worth!

TheCompany version is early this week: http://www.batoto.net/read/_/220387/tower-of-god_v2_ch97_by_the-company
All this time waiting for a reunion of the main trio of the serie… I'm disappointed, because it should had to be epic; and it's not. SIU struggled with it, one can see it (in the previous chapter, Baam or Koon was telling Beta how much he was ruining the reunion), and the final scene was just ... meehhh Even the flashback was a bit forced... Anyway, the good thing is that for the first time I find an alligator cute and tender...
I don't understand much why Koon says that now they are enemies of the Workshop. Any ideas?
Anyway, Baam is not going to get out without all his friends or at least without knowing what happened to them. To me, the main point of the chapter is that it's pretty clear now how the rivalry between FUG and the Workshop increases... The Workshop decrees the final is delayed, and wants his tourney properly ended; FUG doesn't care about it and is going for Baam on the instant. Clearly they both will collide, because FUG is trespassing that line the tourney leader was talking about.
Being so, the worst possible scenario to me would be if the Workshop comes and interrupts the battle between Baam's team and FUG, and Baam can escape due to this intervention. That would be horrible, and it would ruin the whole season. On the other hand, as I said, before, it would be really nice if in the middle of the battle FUG-the Workshop-Baam's team, Baam is forced to his limits and comes with a superb use of the thorn due to his irregular nature. That would be awesome.

Well Workshop just ordered Beta to be killed and they attacked the Workshop guards to stop them from doing it. Don't know how important the death of Beta was to Workshop but it's best to think of it as an enemy at this time.
Also, hi there

Ah yes. that explains it. Thanks and welcome!!!

So I guess no one really cares that Wangnan care survive a fatal wound to the heart. Looks like that blood of Zahard is useful.

We don't know if his heart got stabbed. And everyone seems to have great healing regeneration, etc. from shinsoo.

"I'm pretty sure of.." is not evidence for nothing. You should add a reference, so all of us could be sure. JUst saying.

I don't feel like going through the chapters, but Beta said that he got his heart. And I'm not pretty sure, I am sure.
-
Okay guys, don't kill each other now. Here's where Beta says he pierced Wangnan's heart, from chapter 93. Maybe he has magic blood in him after all.

That's a good poster. Thanks!
-
I am pretty sure it was intentional regarding Akraptor commenting this past chapter about Wagnan's condition and that he was surprised he is alive.
Blood of Zahard seems a little farfetched considering the amount of surveillance and monitoring of the Princesses, to ensure his power spreads. Hell, I would choose immortality over super strength any day. On the other hand is might be possible he has some "form" of the blood/power of Zahard that gives him increased healing or essentially a type of durability.
-
! A transition chapter, as expected. The real action starts next week.
! And that Messenger at the start is Cassano, right? -
Maybe his heart is simply on the other side. With all the different races in the Tower, everything is possible. Beta might just have pierced through the part where he thought the heart was. It's all meat.
Just for the record, I'd also prefer if there was more to it than "his heart is in a different place".
@phoenix_fire: Everyone else is accounted for, so…
-
! And that Messenger at the start is Cassano, right?
! Yeah, looks like what he wanted was to kill the head of the workshop.
-
I wonder what will happen if someone ruins Androssi's dress… Not good!
-

Dead!! That person is so dead if this happens.
-
Oh, this is going to be good. I was already starting to wonder where Androssi had disappeared to.
-
! Yeah, looks like what he wanted was to kill the head of the workshop.
Well, that would be MacSeth.
Or do you mean Madoraco? Thats a High Ranker, so he should be completely above Cassano. -

I mean Madoraco and was referring to him being in charge of this event, not the actual workshop. At this point we can assume the workshop as a whole is not involved in the living ignition weapon project, just a faction within the workshop, right? Anywany, I'm not saying Cassano stands a chance, just that his goal is to get revenge for what was done to him and others.

We haven't seen evidence that inside the Workshop organization there are factions, contrary to the FUG case.
-
Not directly, but I thought it was stated that the Workshop couldn't experiment to create living ignition weapons so they had a group working on it in secret, which is what prompted the co-op with FUG in the first place. I might be misremembering something though, like rules within the tower versus outside of the tower or something, so correct me if I'm wrong.

The main workshop are the ones who forbade it(human experimentation), Punk, IO, Sophia, and everyone else involved in this are trying to keep it hidden from them. I'm currently unable to look up and post the chapters where it was said, but that's what I remember being stated.

You're right, and I have forgotten that part. This chapter makes it clear: there are some shady scientist working on turning a human into a living ignition weapon, who worked in hidden because the workshop forbids the experimentation with humans. I thinks that's enough evidence that there is a group of the Workshop who wouldn't like to be discovered as part of that experimentation… Anyway, I remain intrigued to know who is the old guy talking in the old radio; he seems to be very interested in Baam, the irregular who now manages the thorn... I mean, he could be the same Macseth.
-
New chapter out and…
! … Beta is pretty much confirmed as an ally, and maybe Androssi will turn into a crippler.
-
! Well, it's the second setup chapter and SIU's still relentlessly teasing. Looks like Mad Dog did something with his shadow abilities, and… Reflejo has a shadowy aura too? I wonder what's up with him, or if he's working with Poken (Kuraka's shadow underling).
-
(I think we can now stop using spoilers, since the chapter is officially out and all that.)
@Luxor
Someone was suggesting that Reflejo was the real Mad Dog, while the for-now Mad Dog is, maybe, his apprendice or something. -
I hope that what Cassano just gave the workshop guy was Wagnan's (Zahard) blood.
-
I doubt it. Unless Reflejo was inventing Mad Dog's back story they work for different bosses on the same side: Reflejo for Karakas and Mad Dog for Yama. It's possible that Mad Dog gained the abilities because of the genes he had spliced into him.
-
I hope that what Cassano just gave the workshop guy was Wagnan's (Zahard) blood.
How would he have gotten it? Cassano hasn't even met Wangnan yet.
-

Doesn't mean he wasn't ordered to do it. And the fact that Wagnan had a puddle of blood come out of him from being stabbed in the heart, I don't see it being too unlikely. And it was "hope" not think. I just thought it would be cool development.
-

But no one took his blood. The only people there were Beta and Baam's team. Sure, Sophia came, but she hadn't moved from Beta's side, and the others were beaten by the Workshop people. No one had time to go to Wangnan's blood, collect it, and then give it to Cassano. Also, even if Wangnan was Zahard's son (which isn't confirmed), it would be useless. No one in the tower, including any relative of Zahard, can kill Zahard unless they're an irregular who came in after Zahard became king. The contract the 10 warriors made with Zahard prevents them from hurting him, and the rest of the populace is bound by the contract the Guardians made with Zahard. Moreover, even the princesses, who have been given Zahard's power, cannot hurt him.
